I believe Lady Dimitrescu's sexuality will be not revealed by capcom in this DLC. I understand that fans are curious about it, but I find myself wondering how our knowing will impact how we feel about Alci or how it will impact the story. Plus, there are characters in past Resident Evil games we still don't have confirmation rather or not they a straight or gay.

Lady Dimitrescu's hate for men can stem from more than her having a controlling husband and I am sure everyone is aware of this. We are speaking about a woman who lived through the 20th century. A time where women had little to no power. Seeing how women were treated as nothing more than a homemaker who had to obey her husband's every whim/wish without question. Could have led to this hatred.

OR

Maybe Alcina had a controlling, abusive father who treated her and her mother badly and that treatment alone caused her to hate men, thinking they are nothing more than abusive and uncaring.

Whether or not her sexuality is revealed should not change how we feel. If she is lesbian, straight, or bi should not determine whether or not you still love the character. Resident Evil does not focus on romance too often it is focused on horror. I doubt we will ever know the truth. Maybe it's for the best we can don't...

Everyone can have headcanons. Just don't become an asshole about it if it contradicts your own, be respectful.

Yes, absolutely, I honestly couldn't care less about her sexuality, I like her cause she's strong, classy, smart and just cool in general, whoever she sleeps with wouldn't change my mind.

I really hope Capcom doesn't confirm or deny anything, I just want to know more about her life, and her story, besides you're right it's a horror game, the least of their concern is the romance part lol

Hello, I just wanna mention that I was extremely traumatized from experiencing and seeing all the hate given to people who headcanon Lady D as straight, bi, or pan. She belongs to everyone, and all are free to imagine her as they please. Because imagination is flexible, not rigid. That’s the beauty of it.  Gatekeeping a fictional character is the most bullshit move ever, representation argument or none. I am now going to say that she’s a double-edged sword: the good is I met a few friends in the fandom and the bad is she brought out the simmering and boiling worst behavior in everyone, it’s disappointing that the RE Village fandom has become a cesspool of toxicity and Oscar-worthy drama. I really wanted to speak out regarding this personal dilemma since I couldn’t hide myself anymore, so please feel free to unfollow me if you can’t accept my opinions.

All my support to @annasassiart . People need to chill and grow the fuck up. Yes, Lady D has been a comfort character to many people, but to attack others for the way others see her or perceive her when she's not a real person it's just stupid and immature. Lady D's sexuality wasn't functional to the game and what a better way to be inclusive from Capcom than letting everyone perceive her in any way they like. I myself and some friends have been insulted, kicked out from servers, have been reported and even got anon threats and insults just for expressing that to me (and them) there's nothing that implies that she's a lesbian; and just for saying that, we've been targeted for months. We can have different opinions and yet be respectful to each other. I don't know Anna, the only interaction I've ever had from her was replying to a comment on twitter and she replied back, we may not see Lady D in the same way but I admire her because her art is amazing and she's super talented, always respectful and with common sense and seriously... If you are willing to make such accusations on someone and taint her image and her job over someone who doesn't exist, then you really need to work out your issues in therapy. It's only been like a week, but I changed my mind, I can't resist the urge to draw resident evil related stuff, I've tried to draw anything else but I couldn't, I've tried different styles and didn't like any of them, and it's really frustrating. I'm just gonna do what makes me happy.

I need to say something first tho

I've been sent some screenshots of people talking about me in some group chat or whatever, (calling me homophobic for my opinion on the Lady D. sexuality drama even tho I'm a literal lesbian, and or gross for the cult/family argument) and I'm not gonna lie it made me feel really really bad, I know I shouldn't let them affect me, but I'm not used to this and don't know how to react.

And to these people I just want to say that you all need to chill cause throwing around words like problematic, toxic and homophobic can actually impact someone else's public image and job/life
