Okay so, what are the odds that two of the Most Characters Of All Time to me would be a floating younger sibling, with an asymmetrical design, who's super strong and looked down on by their superior(s), who's biggest wish is to be friends with people and are very lonely and bad at hiding it, and one of their "friends"* is kind of a fucked up sort of undead abomination that manipulates them at at least one point in the story, plus they're neurodivergent coded and I HC they have ADHD.
But anyways they would totally be friends. It wouldn't be the first time Papyrus has befriended a 9 year old with soft cosmic horror powers.
*Flowey is way better than Belos in the friend department

College is no longer a physical obstacle
My summer goofiness returns and I flourish once more
Anyways
Ridley keeps wind chimes in a box, only bringing them out on calm, windy days to soothe herself. Sometimes the other misfits will catch her on the front porch with her eyes closed, lost in her memories.
If Leila is ever sad or needs to vent, Carter is there to try and be there for her. The same goes in reverse, and the two have a few places to hide and confide in each other.
Olly and Izzy remember seeing a short angry man with the world’s longest beard and a few hatchets come up to them after a show. They never knew what he wanted, only asking if some cowboy has been seen lately. They watched him storm off in his stumpy way, but quickly dismissed it as their friends arrived soon after.
The twins have been actually doing very well, a few letters from past children visiting have finally reached them.
Theo’s doves harmonize their coos, much to his amazement. What doesn’t amaze him is the accidents in his tuxedo.
Carter knows how to light a cigarette and smoke, but it’s mainly because Kilroy used him for fancy lighter tricks when Carter had to be brought along. The blorbo himself could never do it, especially with someone like Leila keeping an eye on him.
Ridley knows of Carter’s cigarette lighting tricks. That is all you need.
Kilroy gets himself into trouble at the prison he’s stuck in, especially since he keeps pickpocketing inmates. Like bro can you not steal from the man named McCracken please? Wait who authorized this transfer-

A lil re-draw of the twins, bc I thought they could use it. It's a bit of an improvement, but I still can't draw hands
No story bits, the last one was a big info dump, so it's gonna take a while for me to come up with something new.
Anyway, have a good day/night.

Cleric Theo bc I didn't draw him yet.
I also made a bit of progress regarding the story. The misfits as we know them will form a little later on during the story, because I'm separating them into three groups.
Theo and Ridley
Izzy and Olly
Leila and Carter
This is the order I'm gonna keep story vise, but I might change it later.
The basic plot for the beginning is that Theo and Ridley travel to the Traveler's Hub to work for the Traveler's Guild as a traveling party. Unfortunately, to be considered a proper party they're 4 members short.
Izzy and Olly are two Pop stars stuck in the Traveler's Hub as a duo of adventurers. They, later on, meet and befriend Theo and Ridley. But still, they are 2 members short.
In the coastal town of Far Water Docks, in an island nation neighboring Miitopia trouble stirs for Carter and Leila. Unlike Miitopia, which employs the divine job users as adventurers for hire within the Traveler's Hub, this nation doesn't treat the job users too lightly. There, they are seen as dangerous criminals that need to be exterminated. Carter and Leila can't hide forever, and so must escape the town. (I won't say how they escape and how successful they were bc that's a spoiler).
That's it for now, have a good day/night.
