dang I made the blog and then disappeared immediately after asking my questions 😭😭

anyways I'm still EXTREMELY interested in the idea of being an irl magical boy, but I've also come to the realization that my typical energy levels combined with my non-confrontational nature would land me in irl magic user territory, with no hero stuff to speak of 😭 HOWEVER. that still sounds cool and no one said I can't have a cool concept just bc I'm not constantly looking for things to fight ㅠㅠ

also I don't plan on LOOKING for trouble, but if I ran into it by chance and knew I could help, I would :3

The Importance of Confidence and how it effects your magic output

Ciao! We were thinking, why do all the strongest magic users we know have massive egos? It can be obnoxious, yes?

We think the answer to this lies in the reserves of your personal power, and what you can put out into the world. Manifestation of power and success is powered by one's belief in themselves and the universe to give them what they need. If one can act as if they have everything, things will be granted in return. So the ego comes first. However, the sheer grandiosity is not accounted for. Why is that so common? The answer is simple. It is fun. It is camp. And it makes you feel good.

Regarding types of magic in multiple realms,

I don't know if this is controversial, but I just wanted to talk about my thoughts and feelings on the matter since I've seen discussions around physical magis and pop culture witchcraft magis and puella magis. First off, you can use magic in the physical realm. It isn't "impossible". IRL chunnibyous/magic users (we don't use chunni as a negative term or to call people fake) have been using magic in the physical realm for years. I've always felt more at home with IRL magic users than magical heros, and I think it is because of a few Discord servers a long time ago that were packed with misinformation about magical heros, and because I learned most of what I know from them, I still have those ideas, and it's hard to tell which is and isn't right. The only reason I am an astral puella magi is because of them. It is both good and bad. I don't regret being an astral puella magi, but I became that specifically because I didn't know there were other options. Some people told me that becoming a puella magi through pop culture witchcraft and astral projection was the only way you could be a magi. I hope any aspiring magi reading this will know they have a choice in the matter of how you become and what kind of magical hero you are. You don't even have to be a magical hero, you could be a familiar or a general magic user. You can be whatever you want. We don't think of things as "impossible" here.

but anyway, I made a whole alt blog because I have some questions!! please PLEASE know I'm not trying to be judgmental and these are all genuine, I keep seeing stuff abt this on my dash and I'm interested in it ^^

I know your concept can be anything, but it seems like everyone's talking about contracts? do you need to do that if contracts aren't at all a part of the media you'd want your concept to come from?

I get the idea of F shifts and M shifts, but can it just stop there? Having your idea and having the attitude, but not needing to astral project? I ask this because I've tried astral projecting many times before and I can't do it (or if I can, it's EXTREMELY hard to tell the difference between it and my daydreams 💀)

For outfits, I'm pretty sure this is a dumb question, but it doesn't have to be a dress, right? 😭 because whenever I think about how I'd want to look, it's like,,, vaguely whimsical techwear? not a cute frilly dress (nothing against magical heroes w dresses, yall are awesome, just my preference)

Do you actually SEE physical shift transformations irl? or is it like a mind's eye thing 😭 I like the idea but if it's intentional hallucination, I'm scared, and if it's actually visible, I don't live alone so I'd have to account for that

This last one's embarrassing but can someone be in the phantom shift phase BEFORE starting the other phases 😭💀 bc I've had this habit for YEARS, of using hand gestures to try and make stuff happen when there's no way it should work?? basically forgetting I don't have magic as it is 💀 and if not, is that like... a sign of something? other than the previously mentioned daydreaming

aaand yeah those are my questions ^^ the whole magical hero thing sounds fun and interesting, but I can also tell it's probably not something to take on just for fun without thinking it through, so I wanna get some of this stuff cleared up before I really give it a try!
