I feel that adb was very attentive when portraying the character of Khayon. the member of the Cult of the Athanaeans who always tried to communicate with each other in a way that goes beyond words, the member of Order of the Jackal (Justice Historian) who inherit the memory of the Legion, and the sentimental Astarte who always emphasizes that he is not good at lying. However, his story is narrated in first person POV and it is obvious that he is an unreliable narrator. It is very likely that he did not lie at all, but who can say that what he felt is true.
