What about the other shounens, BNHA, JJK and KNY?

Pretty sure both BNHA and JJK will end with the MCs so miserable and done with everything that they'll end up commiting suicide.

KNY has already ended, so I'm assuming that Tanjirou's comrades had no other choice but to put him out of his misery after being poisoned and becoming a demon.

So, Next Gen is completely out of question for them.

About your ask regarding Naruto, I've read that the series was supposed to pave the way to the next generation of the shounen genre... and it has failed miserably in doing so.

Yeah, I can see that. I mean, no one calls Son Goku "Gohan and Goten's Dad"/"Pan's Grandfather" or Kurosaki Ichigo "Kazui's Dad". That alone speaks volumes. If you want my opinion, the Next Gen trope most likely only exists because of Japan's low birth rates that have been relentlessly meme'd online for years.

One Piece is highly likely exempt from the Next Gen trope since Luffy is heavily implied to be asexual (not to mention how heavily in-sync he is with Zoro, his First Mate), which it's a relief.

However, if Luffy were to have children (biological or adopted), it'd be just like that Chris Hemsworth meme. You know the one.

What's the specialists' function in your reboot? If the fairies and the witches keep the mystic balance, then what do they do?

The Specialists are those who were born with no powers, so they have to develop their own skills. Plenty of them end up becoming knights and field researchers.

They train both their bodies (weapon mastery and physical combat), as well as their brains (general sciences and technologies/machineries), and their overrall duty is to subdue unruly beasts and investigate supernatural phenomena to ensure the safety of the innocent.

They're tactical, planning which next step would be the most efficient one to take; even though they are powerless, the Specialists act as mediators between the Fairies and the Witches, keeping them grounded and ensuring proper balance to the world, maintaining the symbiotic relationship they all have.

What’s your stance on the whole witches vs. fairies debate? I mean it would make for an interesting show based on the aesthetic debate alone. Like Winx Club but there are heroes and villains on both sides.

It could serve as a metaphor to prejudice, if done correctly. But in my hypotetical reboot, Fairies and Witches would be mostly amicable to eachother, because their contrasting powers keep Magix in proper balance; Fairies are Light and Witches are Dark. They are the Yin-Yang of Magix.

As for the prejudice bit I've mentioned before, there would be some animosity between Magix's inhabitants and the humans, due to the fact that they have a rather primitive image of magic (i.e.: When Bloom first arrived to Magix City, she was shocked to find out how futuristic it was).

And there's more: Like I said, the Fairies and Witches are MOSTLY amicable to eachother; however, there could have been previous bloodshed between them and certain laws have been stablished to avoid such tragedies from repeating ever again.

And of course, like YOU said, there'd be villains from both sides; like Fairies who are pretentious and condenscending and think of themselves as "The Pinnacle of Perfection", or Specialists who want to use both the Fairies and Witches' energies as alternative batteries.

But these are just examples; the possibilities are endless.

On the Winx Club reboot do you think something can be done about like what if girls wanted to attend Red Fountain to train as warriors or if there were guys who wanted to be fairies? I don’t think they were clear that only girls can be fairies and/or witches.

Unfortunately, FATE: The Winx Saga did touched upon this before. There were male Fairies and female Specialists (except for Witches, because they were all erradicated).

I remember writing a brief hypotetical concept for an ideal and respectful Winx reboot, and in it, I've mentioned how I'd make the three core academies less gender-restrictive, and base them entirely on the student's potential.

If a student has magical potential, they can be either a Fairy or a Witch; if they don't, they can be a Specialist. No one would be excluded nor judged for the abilities that they have or lack thereof, everyone would be able to bring something to the table and contribute to the prosperity of their world (YA HEARIN' ME, HORIKOSHI?!)

There's a popular name for what happened to Voltron and WEP: "The How I Met Your Mother Effect".

Pretty sure the real name is "Mandela Effect", but I'm still very much aware of the HIMYM fiasco. The audience's reaction was so catastrophic, that they had to edit and remove specific scenes in later releases, but you know how it is, you can't un-crack an egg once it has been cracked.

I really wished they didn’t pull that stunt with Allura in the Voltron reboot. It was messed up. Also the thing with Lance’s cheek marks came out of nowhere.

DreamWorks' Voltron is the Game Of Thrones of western animation. They even share the same number of seasons!

It's scary how something that used to be HUGE and do numbers here on Tumblr now recieves nothing but scrutiny. Oh, how the mighty have fallen...

I really don't have much to say about it, since I've only watched the first season and learned about the following ones through the grapevine...

...but NOT shipping Entrapta×Hordak and Adora×Catra would be No.1 Priority for me.

I might not be able to update this or any other of my blogs with the usual frequence of now, and I've felt the need to tell people in advance so they don't panic about me going missing for some time.

It's nice to engage in silly niche fandom activities, but you just can't ignore your responsibilities as an adult; and I'll try to not sacrifice my well-being or who I am just for the sake of "fitting in", too.

Not until you've told me about it. I knew of a reboot, but I didn't noticed the trailer being dropped. Looks nice, though. Certainly better than that FATE shitshow.
