“… is everything okay? are you willin’ to sit down and talk, even if only for a couple minutes?”

“interestingly, i think we may be on the same page after all. i'm happy with livin’ my life, but it would be pointless if you weren't also enjoyin’ yours. i appreciate you bein’ willin’ to consider my feelings, which is why i want to do the same for you! i'd be a terrible partner if i ignored them all for my sake, wouldn't i?”

even though it's short, sweet, and simple, peri sits up to kiss bee's nose. in order to emphasize what he had stated only just moments before.

“if you have anything on your mind, i want you to share it with me. rather than bottle it up. it absolutely eats me up inside to see you like this, and besides…”

peri wants to brighten the mood in any way he can.

“you’re just too pretty to be cryin’; it doesn’t fit you at all. don't ‘cha think bein’ happy suits you better?”

peri wastes very little time and takes up the available space right next to bee. he slumps to the ground, now sitting down and allowing himself to feel a little comfortable for the time being. the fairy's eyes soften as he observes bee carefully.

“hey now... don't beat yourself up for feelin’ this way; i don't hold it against you at all!”

before peri could continue with what he had to say. that's when he notices the other beginning to tremble and shake. he bristles before deciding to bite the bullet and wrap one very large and fluffy wing around his mate in a consoling embrace. while it may not seem like much, that’s all peri could think of doing.

“…please look at me?”

he asks, reaching out a tentative hand towards bee's face. he continues to be soft yet firm in his approach to all of this.

that’s all peri asks of bee as well. for him to be totally open with him, yet he wants the other to share his thoughts on his own time and terms. peri idles before moving over to be exactly beside bee. although physical touch is a way for peri to express affection and comfort, he restrains himself. deciding it would be better if the bug initiates it on his own.

“to be honest with you, i’m not upset or angry… i just want you to let me know if i did anything wrong! that’s all, because the last thing i want is for you to be upset with me…”

☆ peri talks with a new york accent. he spent several years there after enrolling in godparenting school. to become accustomed to posing as a human when he is assigned a godkid.
