what a lovely little fic. the soft feel laced throughout it gives it a sort of lulling feel to the reader, almost as if you’ve just gotten home from a long day. the flashback within it pointing to the first time the pair started to realize their friendship might not be just friendship was so vivid and adorable--i could easily picture how red jungkook’s ears were when his fingers brushed against hoseok’s accidentally. hoseok’s panic over jungkook announcing he was coming over unexpectedly at the news of hoseok’s illness gave such a realistic feel to the story as well as jungkook’s insistence in taking care of hoseok. the cuddling made my heart feel so warm and i loved the hints of attraction and promises of more things to come for the pair. i’m sure jungkook ended up with a gnarly cold after this but i’m sure he thought it was worth it in the end.

Summary: jungkook's been trying to chase away his love for yoongi for many years. when jungkook's diagnosed with vocal nodules, suddenly yoongi's around a lot more, and everything gets complicated.

what a soft, bittersweet fic. while i would absolutely hate to see the members go through anything like this in real life, the realistic portrayal that surrounds this fic immediately draws the reader in. jungkook’s struggle with his health had my heart squeezing in my chest while reading this, and his fear of the future coupled with his sudden identity issues at the thought of losing the thing that means most to him is extremely relatable. the way the pair slowly find themselves drawn together again through jungkook’s hardships was so endearing and soft. topped off with the sweet confessions, this fic left me with a smile on my face albeit my heart a bit sad for the changes jungkook had to go through. but life is filled with bittersweet moments and that is something perfectly captured within this fic.

You giggle, tucking your chin to your chest, and Seokjin’s eyes soften at the sight.

“ - I’ve fallen for you,” he finishes. “Very hard, I might add. Almost too hard. Possible broken bones.”

the spirit of this fic is so cute. from the very beginning, the writer captures you with the characters’ friendly banter and witty responses. the flashback to the reader’s first meeting with Tall, Dark, and Handsome (as oc nicknamed him) aka kim seokjin had me grinning at the chemistry and irony that laced the entire situation. and my grinning continued throughout the fic with how perfectly the writer captured seokjin’s sense of humor. his easygoing nature contrasts so delightfully with reader’s more serious approach to life and medicine and the pair’s bickering is absolutely hilarious. i felt like i was watching a feel-good christmas movie when reading this, watching my favorite characters be stubborn in their admittance of having feelings for each other while rooting for them in my heart. i really love how the writer paints the settings amidst the dialogue and character building, always grounding the story again and bringing it more vibrance. the side characters of the rest of the boys made this even more endearing and fun to read--especially with that twist at the end! such a lovely read with a sweet, satisfying ending that left me with happy butterflies flitting through my heart.

You slam your clipboard down on the front desk with force, the abrupt thwack effectively startling Jimin from his state of partial-sleep.

“Park,” you say sharply, fixing the young man with a steely gaze. “We have a problem.”

The silver-haired receptionist blinks up at you through bleary eyes, exhaustion written all over his expression in the same way irritation is written all over yours. Judging from the oversized hoodie hugging his frame and the extensive collection of empty coffee cups littering his work-space, one can only assume that the 5am start is beginning to take a toll on him.

“What’s up?” he yawns, reaching for the vile-coloured energy drink to his left.

these two fit so seamlessly together even though neither of them has ever had the courage to speak up about their feelings until jimin falls into an unexpected heat. i enjoyed the somewhat “slow burn” of this pwp in that it took several thousand words before the two were finally joined. it lent more of a longing, agonizing feel to jimin’s character, bringing his struggles with his heat even more vibrance. namjoon’s gentleness with jimin was really sweet and it was endearing how he slid into body worshipping when he realized jimin must’ve had troubles with love and/or sex in the past. the ease with which they fall into an official relationship despite the circumstances really shows how much the pair care about each other and have pined for each other. a nice hint of sweetness woven through a pwp.

you know that feeling you get when you first start a fic and instantly get the feeling that you’re going to fall in love? because that was me after the first paragraph of this fic. my heart started doing The Thing and didn’t stop doing The Thing even after it ended. this is adorable. sweet. cute. heart-meltingly magnificent. jungkook is instantly endearing with his alternative style and soft heart and jimin easily follows suit with his doting ways and bright eye-smiles. it effortlessly weaves between jungkook’s challenges raising his daughter alone and his interactions with jimin that leaves you longing for more. definitely the type of fic that leaves you with good feels for the rest of the day.

"tell me no." yoongi says bluntly, and hoseok freezes. he doesn't respond, his eyes wide and wet with tears. yoongi's scent spikes, and hoseok's eyes roll back in his head. "hoseok," yoongi is growling out the words now, nails digging into his own fists, "tell me /no/."

the chemistry between these two is so cute. it’s easy to see from the very beginning that there’s some underlying attraction and secret pining going on. the apprehension the pair have about hoseok’s surgery lends the perfect nervous edge to the setting and it’s such an interesting twist to see hoseok go into pre-heat the moment he removes his bandages and catches yoongi’s alpha scent for the very first time. the base need to find an alpha to submit to appeals to any abo lover but it’s also emphasized that hoseok has had feelings for yoongi for a long time which adds a hint of sweetness to the scene. the dirty talk is by far one of my favorite parts of this fic and i love how seamlessly their relationship is taken to the next level. the scent-blind angle brings a new level to the typical abo trope making this even more fun to read for abo fans.

“Guess I’m just really in love,” Jeongguk answers truthfully, kissing Jimin’s fingers.

first, while the writer has this labeled as “general audiences,” i personally think it leans a bit more in the “teen” category for rating so am marking it as such. this little oneshot is so sweet with just a hint of humor throughout it. it’s easy to picture jungkook as the type of husband/mate to fret over his significant other if they were pregnant and it’s brought to life within this oneshot. jimin’s annoyance over what he sees as smothering behavior by jungkook is presented quite humorously, giving the reader the sense that jimin doesn’t truly mind the babying deep-down. the dynamic really leans true to real relationships which is something i really enjoy as a reader. yoongi’s appearance lends a lovely amount of backstory for the characters as well as a sounding board for jimin’s mixed emotions at jungkook’s absence due to work. the pairs’ reunion is so cute and it’s easy to see the amount of love they have in their relationship, especially with how attentive they are to each other. a cute, fluffy read.

the progression of this fic is so good. from jungkook’s initial terror at the appearance of drain pipe monster jimin appearing in his bathtub to agreeing to have sex with him because what does he have to lose really, he’s a poor college student who probably just bombed a test so he might as well get laid even if there’s a chance of him dying. jimin has the perfect amount of creepy, uneasy feelings with his humanoid characteristics yet still so sweet and alluring that you understand why jungkook gives in quite easily. the immense amount of praise that jimin gives jungkook during it would feed any praise kink while it also lent even more sweetness to the pair. the descriptions of the tentacles (and their suckers) really brings the entire fic to life and puts you right into the bathtub alongside jungkook and when jimin finally hits his own version of an orgasm, it gives just enough of a curiosity that you’re sad the interaction between the two is over. jungkook’s actions after the event in the bathtub are so endearing and i’m particularly fond of the ending with the way it maintained its hint of sweetness around the pair yet had a level of mystery of what is to come.

As it turns out, he's not as knowledgeable about bunny hybrids as he thought.

this was an amazing mixture of sweet and smutty. jungkook is so endearing with the descriptions the writer gives of his bunny ears and hybrid quirks with the perfect hint of humor to it all with how namjoon misinterprets jungkook’s bunny hybrid behavior. the writer gives just enough backstory to the pair that i found myself invested in them and cheering them on for their first time together. i also really enjoyed how the writer touched on the fact that namjoon loves jungkook for who he is--not just because he is a bunny hybrid. the transition between what namjoon thought having sex with his hybrid boyfriend would be like to what it actually was was so smooth as well. the scene at the end where the pair discuss their misinterpretations of each other was so sweet and i loved the teasing jungkook threw namjoon’s way. what a lovely twist on what you would assume a “hybrid home depot” to be.
