Hands reached his face to grab onto the still living, fighting for dear life koi fish, fingertips digging into it as it kept slipping on his gloves… before Archer’s arm moved in a wide arc, chucking with every once of his might the fish at the perpetrator’s face, hoping its guts would explode all over him.

M was all to proud in his stand, impressed that the other had hit him square in the face with the fish to the point that it wasn’t flopping anymore. Probably for the best, but who knows, could be passed out. The agent gently picked up the poor creature and placed it back into his little bucket full of water. How sweet.

He shifts his weight to one leg, hand on the hip as he held the bucket, not caring of water was surely splashing all over. M stands there with confidence and pride.

Inspiration:

So I live in Arizona, and in Arizona we have this group called Team Rocket AZ where these group of people dress up as Team Rocket grunts and raise money for charity and stuff. They are pretty popular and I've been to a few of their panels! But anyways...each of the members have their own names and you can challenge them to a pokemon battle ( yes they have their Pokemon devices on them so you can actually battle them ).

Anyways...my friend's boyfriend challenged Agent Fisherman and guess what he had...5 level 100 magikarps and his trump card...a level 100 SHINY magikarp.

Yep...so that's what got me started on breaking into the Team Rocket Pokemon RPC branch of this community. It took me four years to sum up the courage to make a Team Rocket OC but I'm so glad I did back in 2018.

Actual Characterization:

I started M's blog as some idiot with six magikarps who was apart of Team Rocket. He was a dork and dumb as a magikarp. He went by Agent M and didn't give out his name. I honestly made him as a way of humoring myself since everything in Team Rocket was kinda dark and gritty back then so I wanted to like...be goofy and not take anything so seriously.

However, the more and more shenanigans I got up into...the running gag of Archer and Giovanni killing M only for him to come back just ended up becoming canon since I kinda run things as everything is canon on my blog ( more or less ). So...I had to think of a way of saying how he became Pokemon Deadpool.

Which lead to this quote:

Because the guy with six magikarps… …will one day be T H A T guy with SIX gyarados.

And I got really into magikarp and gyarados lore. Gulping down everything I could get my hands on and taking it into the idea of M being the reason behind Lake of Rage ( destroying the whole town ) due to serious issues running amok with Team Rocket and rival gangs. And upon his death...Xerneas ( being the one who restores balance to destroyed terrain ) accidentally made M immortal - I have a whole headcanon explaining how and why M became immortal.

And eventually...it just became a basis of M's changed demeanor from a dumb kid with no personality or life goals to a man who wants to spread chaos everywhere. I can go into his whole story but I'd save you the time.

He started out as an innocent thought. A stupid little magikarp but now he's a terrifying gyarados...

Looks like M has received some mail in the form of a package.

The box has a small note that reads as follows..

“Dear M, it’s been a while since I’ve talked to you, but I found this while at the Humilau City Aquarium and thought you’d enjoy it!”

Inside the box are some Magikarp shaped cookies and a wooden Gyarados figurine that had “Humilau Aquarium” printed on a small stand that the wooden Pokémon was glued to.

M blinks behind his mask as he looked at the magikarp cookies and the gyarados figurine. Well hot diggy dam did those magikarp cookies look good and he'll just...slide one through the mask of his mouth.

As for the gyarados figurine...well shit he had no where to put it. He'll probs have to pawn it...sorry kiddo. M'll treat you to lunch later or something for the quick buck!

Anyway so l've decided I'm gonna look into doing a 1-2 week long event where Giovanni goes to prison and society slowly, inexorably, starts to crumble. Businesses close, your neighbors get arrested, half of the police force quits under mysterious circumstances, and the true DEPTH of Rocket is unveiled.
