I’ve moved Laine and Zane over to my multimuse, @undyinglegends !!

it’s infinitely easier for me to manage one blog rather than two. But!! the twins are all set up over there and are already interacting, so no need to worry about waiting! Relationships will carry over, and if you want to continue threads over there, just let me know!

“Whoa, whoa!” Laine yanks the other back away from the saw, despite it not operating at the moment, and gives her a wide-eyed look through dirtied goggles. “You nuts?! Even when these things are off you don’t wanna get close! A single hair gets caught, an’ say goodbye t’your scalp...”

She reaches down low to unplug the saw, then stands back up before moving the goggles on top of her head. “Y’wanna be careful, yeah?”

also as a note to new followers bc i really need to make more in-depth pages, there are essentially two versions of the twins!!

there is the mainverse as described on their about pages, and their normalverse as described on the verses page. admittedly, normalverse is more common here as of late (it didn’t use to be on the old blog skjfghdkhg), as it makes interactions a lot easier, but this does mean that the two versions of the twins behave/act differently in these verses!

TOO MUCH ANGST IS BAD.

I know this must sound hilarious coming from me, but here is The Thing: angst and fluff are a balance. You have to give your characters a chance to be happy in order for the angst to mean anything. Let them have victories. Let them have happy moments. And let them keep these victories and happy moments; don’t just tease the character (and as such the audience) with something happy to just take it away. That’s not suspenseful, it’s infuriating.

DON’T PUT THEM THROUGH ANGST FOR THE SAKE OF IT. Have something come out of it. New development, a new side of a character, a closer bond with another character, something, ANYTHING.

DO NOT HAVE ANGST FOR THE SAKE OF ANGST.

She matches his suspicious eyes with a face of confusion, so much that she’s not even angry that he snapped back at her. “Jesus, kid. I jus’ wanna make sure you’re okay. Why d’ya think I stepped in? What, I see a bunch of teenagers surrounding a kid and I’m jus’ supposed to stand back an’ watch?”

Laine huffs slightly, shoving her hands in her jacket pockets and narrowing her eyes at the ground. “Can’t stand people who gang up on one guy. Doesn’t matter if you can handle your own or not.” A pause. “... Glad you’re not hurt.”
