‘Light’ is not the natural state of the universe. It is difficult for minds to comprehend but it is true. ‘Light’ has created many things, but those things will fail horribly once the ‘Light’ goes away.

You need only look at the horrors in the deepest of oceans, could something created in the ‘Light’ survive down there? The further down you go the blacker it gets, not even a faint glow to tell you which way is up.

That creature created in the ‘Light’ could not survive down there, it would begin to panic, it would cry out but there is nothing around to hear… or perhaps there is, it just doesn’t care to help. Why should it go to them? Why should it heed the call off this creature that is so terribly out of it’s depth?

“What do you think? I know the answer as to why that creature would help, but then I’ve been in the ocean for so long.”

“I’ve enjoyed this game.” Her face looked confused for a second but it was gone as quickly as it had come “I almost feel sad that I chose to end it so quickly.” She wasn’t used to games making her feel anything more than superior or furious. Was this how She used to feel? Once upon a time? ….How disgusting. Lambda would be in hysterics.

Still, there was more than one game currently being played. “But I think I’ll be claiming that punishment from you” She grins and moves her next piece “Checkmate”

“Aaaaahhh, yup, that’ll do it!” Rolling backwards, he laid on the floor face-up in defeat. “You’re some kid, y’know that? You could probably win big tournaments~”

Still, there was this warm feeling in his heart. Somewhere deep down…these were the sort of times he wished he could have with a certain couple of other girls, from long, long ago.

…He wondered if Ib or Mary would have been any good at chess. This girl here wasn’t either of them, but she would suffice. Actually, there was a familiar feeling about this girl, too…

“Oh. Right. Punishment.” Garry had been so wrapped up in the game that he’d totally forgotten about that…and what it even was to begin with.

“Uh…y-you’re gonna have to remind me what that was, again?”

Ah. It seemed that she had also forgotten what was bargained. How unusual, it wasn’t like her to get so carried away.

“I was rather hoping you’d remembered. I seem to have forgotten too.”

What were the rules when it came to punishments again? It can’t have been something she would normally do.... or perhaps it was similar enough, just with a ‘childish’ twist.

What did Her friends do again? Hmm... They bullied the boy usually Though at least once she remembered...

“How about you come up with a new punishment?”
