As a neutral from Australia who got up at 2am or 5am to watch all the games, it seemed like Switzerland did an amazing job hosting. I was really rooting for the home team and was so excited they made it to the knockouts - I know how joyous that feels as an Aussie after our team did it at the work cup. WĂ€lti such a great ambassador for Switzerland and Iâve loved watching her build up to this tournament. Congratulations on a job well done âșïž
Iâm really proud of my country. We are known as very meticulous people and I think it was one of the best thing during this tournament.
Thank you đ„°

I've read somewhere that the geneva fan walk was that short because the city/ police department didn't approve the route from the fan zone to the stadium, basically stating it would be too much effort to secure it. Which would be kinda understandable i guess, since it would have lead right through the tourist hot spots, but if you wanted to you could make it work. Obviously don't know how much truth there is to that thođ
As to were i'd want to go next, that's a though question! I loved Bern, so i wanna go back there, especially since it's quite central and there are a lot of hikes etc i want to do! I want to go back to the Jungfauenregion and do smth like canyoing of paragliding, something to get my adrenalin fixđ And i want to spend a few days at one of the larger lakes, since it was raining whenever i was near oneđ
đ
Wow I never answered to this and Iâm sorry!
Yeah Geneva is a strange place to be honest, Iâm not fond of it đ
Bern is a really nice and chill city, I love the vibe of it. If you want any informations pleas ask me, Iâll answer quicker than that đ

Lucy is almost unable to breath when she sees Chloe going to take the penalty. The time is like suspended. The noise canât come in her ears, all her focus is on Chloeâs back.
Lucy knows itâs her last Euro. She played all tournament with a broken tibia and the knee in her other leg hurt her so bad that she was scared for a moment that she did her ACL. She wasnât expecting Ona to come to her at this moment to be honest. But she could recognise that touch with her eyes closed. Thatâs what actually happened.
When the ball hits the back of the net, her teammates start running, screaming and jumping around. Lucy doesnât, first because her legs are almost dead. But in fact, her gaze is attracted by the figure of her girlfriend, squeezed between Alexia and Patri. Lucy sees how her shoulders fall, the hands coming to hide her pretty face.
« Come on Luce! »
She hears Lotte call her and she takes by the arm to join the group of their teammates. Itâs a mess of blond hair and white jerseys, she can see Leah crying and Tooney jumping around. Grace is hugging everyone who comes near her. And Georgia doesnât let Lucy have any seconds before jumping on her back when she sees her.
She participates at the celebrations for some time before seeing Leah leaving the group to congratulate their opponents. Lucy follows her, slowly shaking hands or hugging the Spaniards. Some of them being her former teammates, she takes a little bit more time with them, especially Alexia and Mariona.
When she finally reaches Ona who is sitting in the middle of the pitch, now alone before being with Jana, her knee hurts like a bitch. She has real trouble walking and itâs a relief to be able to sit near her girlfriend.
« Hi Beautiful » Lucy says when sheâs close enough to be heard.
« Hola mi Vida » Ona answers.
The brunette looks at the English woman sitting next to her. They were able to have some time together during the tournament, but she still missed Lucy. She missed her touch, her smell and her heath.
« Com et sents? » Ona asks immediately, voice half-soft half-broken. « How are you feeling? »
Lucy rolls her eyes, even if she starts to feel her emotions finally overflow.
« Youâre joking right? You are the one supposed to be sad »
« Youâre the one hurting » Ona counter softly.
She looks at Lucy putting the sock on her knee in the right place, even if it doesnât probably change anything. But Ona understands easily that itâs an attempt from Lucy to keep her feelings under control.
« I just⊠It hurt so bad » Lucy finally answers and her voice breaks almost right away. With a hand on her forehead, she continues « Itâs still does. They gave me some painkiller but it doesnât change anything »
Soon her face is hidden by both of her hands and Ona doesnât lose a second before coming closer to her. She suddenly doesnât care about losing or winning, she understands that there is much here. Her girlfriend, who she likes to design like the love of her life, is hurting. And probably scared. There is more than a medalâs material.
« I know itâs probably my last Euro but what if I canât play anymore at all? »
Ona takes a little breath before answering. She knew about Lucyâs broken leg. She gave her opinion to Lucy but doesnât oblige her to stop. She knew that if Lucy wanted to play, she would do it even with only one leg.
« You donât know that Luce » Ona answers softly, her hand around Lucyâs neck. « I donât either. Neither of us do. You show the world several times that you are recovering quicker than everyone. Everything is possible »
« What if Iâm not able to play anymore? Football is the only thing I know » Lucy adds after several seconds of silence.
« We will figure that together if you want to. You are not alone »
Lucy takes a big breath too before slowly putting her hands on her tights. Ona is so close to her that she can see every freckle on her face.
« Yeah »
They are interrupted by Maya and some of Lucyâs teammates, coming to congratulate Ona.
« Itâs going to be okay » Ona says when they are alone again, massaging softly her shoulder and neck.
« Iâm the worst » Lucy grumbles.
« De quÚ parles? » Ona frown.
« Three years ago, when you won the World Cup, I was insufferable with you because we lost and I was frustrated » Lucy explains, wiping her tears impatiently. « Now Iâm the one winning and you are still the one comforting me »
Ona shrugs, not really knowing what to say. She didnât think about it to be honest, all that she wants is her girlfriend being happy.
« Itâs not a competition. I guess we both react in our ways and itâs okay like this »
Lucy looks at her girlfriend and she really regrets all the people around them, because right now all she really wants to do is kiss her. Lucy takes some seconds to look really at Ona. She seems tired, of course. She has already unbraided her hair to tie it in a bun. She has some white from the pitch on her arm. And her eyes are red, probably colored by the tears that she prevented herself from letting flow.
« Iâm so proud of you. You were unbelievable. That slide tackle was something else »
« Thanks » Ona smirks softly.
They are interrupted again, this time by Georgia Stanway.
« You played good Ona. Too bad you canât ask for the English nationality even if you marry this one »
Ona smiles softly while Lucy snorts. Like if Ona would switch teams even if she could.
« At least I still won something » Ona says when Georgia is away.
« Donât start any bullshit about winning my love »
Ona giggles at that and she can see the shadow of a smile coming on her girlfriendâs face.
« I donât pass my time flirting » Ona rolls her eyes. « I was thinking about our bet. The winner has to take the other to the place they chose for a vacation, remember? Say goodbye to Greece »
Ona is smirking and Lucy canât help but laugh too. The Spaniard was always able to change her mind or help her to lift it up. Sheâs the only one who knows how to do it so easily.
« Youâre an ass » Lucy smiles.
« You love it » Ona smirks.
« Nah. But I love you »
Lucy is full smiling now, shaking her head with fun. She loves Onaâs patter and how easily everything seems with her. Natural. Lucy almost forgot where they are until some man from the team ask them to move, to be able to install the podium where will be distributed the medals and the trophy.
Ona helps Lucy to stand up, walking several meters with her arm around Lucyâs waist. She realises Lucyâs hand only when the English woman passes it around her shoulders.
« It sucks that we have to go to our respective countries » Lucy sighs softly.
« I know. I would rather go to holiday right now with you »
But it wasnât an option. And even if it was, Ona would never private Lucy from the celebrations back home, she totally deserves it.
« So. Here is the plan » Lucy says, hiding her mouth with her hand. « I go to London, you go to Madrid and then Barcelona. I go to the doctor, look what shit he can do for my knee and my tibia. Then I come to Barcelona and we leave for whatever destination you picked »
« Naha » Ona shakes her head. « We go to our country. I make my baggage and jump on the first plane to London to go with you to the doctor. If you donât want me inside Iâll wait in the car. Then we go on holiday. »
They are interrupted once again by one of Lucyâs teammates - it makes her want to scream. But Ella only hugs Ona silently before leaving again.
« You donât have to come to London and it shit weather. You will be better with your family and the sun, no? »
« Donât you want me here? » Ona frowns.
« That wasnât my point, of course I want you with me. But you deserve some rest, not looking at the wall of a medical waiting room »
« I just want to be with you. And be there for you » Ona whispers on her neck.
She starts pouting and there is no world where Lucy is able to resist her when she does this. Ona knows this, of course.
« Okay » Lucy smiles softly. « So I guess we will be together soon »
« In three days »
âąâąâą
Ona looked at England showing the trophy under kilos of confetti before going to the locker room. She doesnât really talk to anyone, there isnât so much to say. Alexia isnât here for now, but the sad faces of her teammates broke her heart again. It felt lighter around Lucy, but now itâs harder again to breathe.
Deciding for a hot shower, Ona strips quickly and finds with relief the hot water. Her skin is almost red after it. She takes the time to brush her hair before going to find her family. Sheâs always sad to disappoint them, even if her brother scolded her before thinking like this. She knows they are proud of her, but knows too that they would be prouder if she had won.
She takes time to salute Lucyâs family too, even if she passes almost all her time with her family and friends. After hugging her father, her brother and sister-in-law, she spends almost all her time in her motherâs arms. There is nothing much more than maternal love after a hard lost.
Well, maybe her loverâs arms.
Lucy finds her again when sheâs leaving the pitch. The Chelseaâs player is still in her jersey, some confetti in her hair.
« Iâm walking you to the bus » she says softly.
Ona nods, happy to have more minutes with her girlfriend. Jana, who was walking next to her, smiles at them before walking quicker, letting the couple having some precious more minutes together.
« Keep me updated? » Ona asks, smiling when she feels Lucyâs fingers coming between hers.
« Of course. We are going to shower and then I think the Federation made a reservation for a party. I would love for you to join, if you want to. »
« Oh. »
Ona frowns, not really expecting that. She didnât even think about the fact that sheâs actually able to join the English festivities. After all, some of the English playersâ partners will be there. But none of them are playing for the losing team. Sheâs almost sure that Vivianne Miedema will be here with Beth Mead.
Lucy seems to understand very easily what is happening in Onaâs mind. They arenât walking anymore, now alone in one of the floors of the stadium.
« Itâs okay if you donât want to » Lucy assures her softly, stroking her cheek with the tips of her fingers. « Just know that itâs a possibility. You have your place there too »
« Thank you » Ona smiles. « But I think I will go back to the hotel. Maybe you can join me after? »
« It will be late » Lucy points.
« I donât care »
Ona shrugs, making Lucy smile. And because they finally are alone, she takes her girlfriend against her, her hands sliding between Onaâs shirt and her pants.
« I canât wait to have you only for me » Lucy whispers, her lips only centimeters away from Onaâs.
« Just kiss me already » Ona groans.
She doesnât wait for Lucy to do it, actually. Ona is the one closing the last centimeters, kissing Lucy softly. Itâs been several days and Ona feels Lucyâs body relaxes against hers. The kiss is slow, tender. Itâs like coming home.
« Three days » Ona sighs before hiding her face in Lucyâs neck.
Lucy hums, holding Ona tight against her. She feels selfish for not letting Ona talk about her sadness and her frustration. She just lost a final from a tournament she wanted to win, more than anything. The Euro Cup is one of the tournaments Ona never won. And Lucy has to admit, Spain had more chances than England to score. They had an amazing tournament.
« Iâm sorry you havenât won. Your team was the strongest of the tournament, you deserved the gold »
« Iâm not sure I want to talk about it » Ona sighs, playing with the hem of Lucyâs jersey « At least we got the silver »
« And you definitely got the Bronze » Lucy adds, smirking.
Ona laughs and looks in Lucyâs eyes when she softly cups her face.
« Iâm coming so if you are having any funny and disgusting business please stop now »
Lucy and Ona both roll their eyes at Marionaâs voice. The Arsenal player appears at the corner of the floor, followed very close by her own girlfriend. Lucy is still holding Ona tight against her.
« Hi Lia » both Ona and Lucy say at the same time.
« Hello » the Swiss woman smiles back.
« Montse sent me. We have to go, everyone else is already on the bus »
Ona sighs softly. She knew they had to go but she would have loved having more alone time with Lucy.
« Iâm coming »
Mariona nods, gives them a half-forced smile before going back from where she came. The loss is tough for everyone. Lia smiles at them too, following Mariona with a hand on her back.
« Theyâre going to Mallorca tomorrow » Ona says, very distracted by the kiss on her neck Lucyâs giving her.
« Is that where we are going too? » Lucy asks.
« No. It will be a surprise, but I already know in which hotel we will go »
There is a moment of silence while they both look at each other. They are both tired, but for another reason. Ona hopes to fall asleep before Lucy comes back to her later in the night, like this time will pass easier.
« I have to go » Ona finally mumbles.
Lucy hums and kisses her one more time before finally letting her go. Knowing they will find each other later tonight makes it easier to do.
« See you later? »
« See you later » Lucy smiles softly.
She smiles when Ona tiptoes to kiss her a very last time. She loves teasing Ona about their heights but she wonât do it right now. She prefers looking at Ona leaving, waving a last time before she takes the turn to go to the bus.
Itâs a weird feeling, winning a finale against her girlfriend. But at least she knows it wonât break them. They made this princess to each other several weeks ago, but sheâs glad to see that they can handle it.

Sheâs American (Alexia Putellas x Heath!Reader)

âHow many times have I told you?â Tobin snapped as you sat on the sofa with a smug look on your face.
âBabe, relax. She doesnât mean itâ Christen tried sticking up for you, but even she knew it was hopeless and that she was lying. She was currently holding back Tobin by the shoulders to make sure she couldnât get near you, because she was fit to kill.
You meant it. God, you meant it with every fibre of your being.
You were a complete and utter dickhead. You loved yourself, but of course, how could you not? You were attractive, a gifted footballer, smart and your body was to die for. So, of course you were a little bit cocky. But you had the right to be. Youâd worked hard to get yourself where you were.
It wasnât just you that loved you, but practically any girl that had ever met you fell for you instantly. A lot of the women youâd slept with had been footballers, and thatâs how you had wound up here, currently being screamed at by your older sister.
âI told you my friends were off limitsâ Tobin growled.
âThat just made it so much more fun, thoughâ you smirked.
âYou little shitâ she lunged towards you only to be pulled backwards by her girlfriend once again.
âLook, I love you guys and I get youâve been together for years and donât understand. But I donât want that, I want to be free to live my life without a girl holding me backâ you shrugged.
âIf you want to sleep around, be my guest. But just not my fucking friendsâ Tobin shouted.
âI had to. I probably wonât get another chance to until Iâm homeâ you replied nonchalantly, as if you hadnât just admitted a huge secret you had been keeping to yourself for months.
âWhat do you mean?â Christen asked as she pushed an angry Tobin onto the couch to try and get her to cool down.
âI got a contract offer in Spain. You guys loved Europe when you went and I want to do that tooâ you nodded.
âWhich club?â Tobin frowned.
âBarcelonaâ you replied.
âYou canât fuck around over there Y/n, they are close knitâ Tobin grunted.
âThe more the merrierâ you smirked.
âThatâs itâ Tobin shot up from her seat, with Christen having to pull her back away from you yet again.
âIâll miss you Christenâ you smiled. âWhy canât you be more like Christen?â You asked your sister as you patted her on the face and headed up to your room.
âGod bless the women of Barcelonaâ Tobin groaned.
Y/n Heath, younger sister of the famous Tobin Heath, has signed a multi-year contract with FC Barcelona for the upcoming 2023/24 season
-
Life in Barcelona was beautiful. The sun was always shining, and the girls, fuck. The girls were all so beautiful. You were a huge name in the game, not only being the younger sister of Tobin Heath, but you were a World Cup champion too. So when your transfer was announced, social media went kind of feral.
You hadnât met the vast majority of the team yet, but were linking up with them in a few days at training. Until then, you made up your time getting settled into your new place and laying low.
That was until your sister called Leah Williamson, who then called Keira Walsh and that is how you became instant best friends with Lucy Bronze. Your sister knew Lucy a little bit, and knew the two of you would get on like a house on fire. You were similar, both attractive and cocky and two of the very few on the team that could speak fluent English.
Youâd been partying in Barcelona with the English girl since youâd met each other. Sheâd shown you different night clubs and bars and that is how youâd been making your way through the entire female population of Barcelona. Lucy was purely your wingwoman because she was in a relationship with Ona, who you had yet to meet. But tomorrow was the day you would be meeting everyone, so you decided to leave the club with a beautiful Spanish girl before you got too tipsy.
-
Lucy picked you up at your apartment, deciding to bring you to training on the first day. Youâd only been to the training complex once to sign contracts, so you had absolutely no idea where you were going.
âMe llamo Lisaâ the blonde girl youâd picked up last night shouted at you, leaving your apartment.
âBaby girl, no hablo españolâ you smirked as the girl stormed off. âAdiosâ you called after her as she continued stomping down the street.
âGet in the carâ Lucy laughed as you grabbed your gear bag and locked your apartment building door. âDid you and Lisa have fun?â She teased.
âWe did, until she asked for my number and then started screaming at me in Spanish when I said I didnât have a phoneâ you shrugged with a cocky laugh.
âShe was fit though, no?â Lucy asked, peering back through the mirror, looking at the girl who was almost fully up the street.
âYeah, she was. But thereâs more girls who can give me the exact same thing who are just as hotâ you smirked.
âOh, the team are going to hate you so badâ Lucy laughed and began driving. While most people would have taken that as an insult, you found it amusing. You liked how it got on peopleâs nerves that you would sleep around. It was just too much fun, girls were just too hot.
You arrived at the training facilities, leaving your bag by your cubby which just so happened to be right beside Lucy, who had deemed you as her new best friend. Lucy brought you into the canteen and was showing you the view of the training pitch outside.
âShe has a bad reputationâ Mapi laughed as you stood at the window with Lucy. She was pointing out different things on the pitch and around the grounds. You were too busy soaking in your new surroundings to pay attention to the chatter from the tables around you.
âLucia said she is nice, they are friendsâ Ona shrugged as she continued eating.
âWho are we talking about?â Ingrid asked, sitting down next to her girlfriend.
âThe playboy has arrivedâ Mapi whispered with a laugh with a few others at the table joining in. The laughing from the table caught Lucyâs attention and she gestured you over to the players sitting at the table.
âGuys, this is Y/n. Y/n this is my girlfriend Ona, thatâs Mapi and Ingrid. Down there is Aitana, Keira and Patriâ Lucy smiled.
âHolaâ Mapi said but you completely ignored her.
âHi Ona, lovely to meet youâ you smiled. Lucy had been a good friend so you decided to play nice with Ona. âAnd you, you were Ingrid, right?â You turned to face the Norwegian girl. Mapi was tiny in comparison to you that you hardly took notice of her.
âYes, itâs nice to meet youâ Ingrid smiled, putting her hand out for you to take.
âThe pleasure is all mineâ you smirked, shaking her hand. Ingrid let herself have a moment when your hand connected with hers, but she was quickly pulled back to reality by Mapi.
âI am her girlfriend, hello, hi, Ingrid, remember me?â Mapi waved her hands in her girlfriendâs face.
âYouâre so embarrassingâ Ingrid groaned.
âYou are dating her?â You asked Ingrid who nodded. âHm, interestingâ you nodded before walking off to meet the other three at the table.
âI donât like herâ Mapi huffed.
âI doâ Ingrid smiled towards you.
âOf course you do, she is so your typeâ Mapi rolled her eyes before getting up from the table and going toward the gym. âEstĂșpidaâ Mapi grunted under her breath on the way into the gym.
âMarĂa? Whatâs wrong?â Alexia asked.
âAle, I am going to murder herâ Mapi shouted.
âSilencoâ Alexia shot up from the bench to quieten the girl down. âIngrid?â Alexia asked.
âHer tooâ Mapi moaned. âNo, Y/n. The Americanâ Mapi rolled her eyes. âShe was flirting with Ingridâ Mapi was sitting on a bench with her arms folded.
âOh, come on Maria, Ingrid loves you. Sheâs not going to be bothered by a bit of flirtingâ Alexia smiled sympathetically.
âYeah, youâre right. Iâm being stupidâ Mapi smiled and stood up with a new found confidence in her step, until you walked in with Lucy.
âAnd this is the gym. Oh, this is Alexia and well, youâve already met Mapiâ Lucy smirked, knowing already what you were thinking.
âOh yes, the one thatâs dating Ingridâ you nodded, air quoting the word dating while continuing to look at the equipment as Mapi left the room in a huff.
âLucia, outâ Alexia ordered. Lucy quickly followed her captainâs instructions and left the gym. âHolaâ Alexia folded her arms and held herself in a reserved position standing in front of you.
âHolaâ you smirked, turning to meet her eyeline. You knew of her of course. She was the best in the world. Youâd seen her at awards shows and on TV, but neither of you had ever even made eye contact.
âYou are not going to cause any trouble here, are you?â She raised an eyebrow at you.
âNo maâamâ you replied.
âWe do not mess around with people here, is that understood?â She asked.
âIs that limited to just the team, or the entire female population of Barcelona?â You replied. âBecause that may be a problemâ you added with a smirk.
âCarefulâ she pursed her lips at you before heading out of the gym as Lucy strutted back in. Your eyes were firmly glued to Alexia on her walk out.
âDonât even think about itâ Lucy laughed, catching your eyeline, watching the Spanish captain leave the gym.
âIt would be so much fun thoughâ you whined sarcastically.
âNo, sheâs off limitsâ Lucy shook her head.
âThat just makes me want it moreâ you groaned.
âAre you a child?â Lucy laughed, putting her hand on your shoulder. âMate, just trust meâ. You nodded at the English girl before she tugged you out of the gym and continued on your tour of the complex.
-
You were a professional of course, but you were also a maniac when it came to nights out. So, when the conversation came up for a team night out, you were on board. Hell, you were on the planning committee.
The team frequented a night club that had a nice divide of privacy to chat and a dance floor that was always put to good use. On your nights out with Lucy, she hadnât brought to this club yet, and you instantly cursed her for it, because the hottest women that walked the face of the earth all seemed to be here tonight.
Team nights at Barcelona were nice, they had a sort of family vibe of going out and getting drunk together and just enjoying each otherâs company. But going out for you was a challenge, and that challenge was how many girls could you end up with?
Youâd already kissed two girls tonight but were frustrated when both of their friend groups decided to move out of the night club and off to a different one.
âAnybody want a drink?â You asked the group as some people nodded at you. You had literally just made it to the bar before another, hotter than the other two, whose names were long forgotten by now, girl was already flirting with you. âCan I get you a drink?â You asked as she nodded and giggled. Youâd forgotten to order everybodyâs elseâs drinks but that didnât matter right now.
âWhatâs your name?â She asked as you handed her the drink after a quick thank you.
âY/n, you?â You shouted over the music.
âSaraâ she replied. âDo you want to dance?â She asked. You nodded your head while she took your hand and led you to the dance floor.
âI guess weâre not getting drinks thenâ Lucy laughed. âI promise to come back with someâ she got up and headed to the bar to finish the job you had started.
âI donât get the attraction to herâ Mapi scowled.
âI doâ Ingrid added with a smirk.
âPrincessa por favor, my ego cannot take this right nowâ Mapi groaned, making a few girls laugh. âAle, do you get it?â Mapi asked.
âSĂ, but her attitude is not for meâ Alexia shrugged. Lucy brought back the drinks for the table after youâd agreed to take Sara home. You ran up to the booth the team were in to grab your jacket. âHeading off so soon?â Alexia asked, sipping from her drink.
âDonât be too jealousâ you smirked, taking your coat from the chair and turning, thinking you had the last laugh, until Alexia grabbed your arm to stop you.
âThis isnât how we do things here, and until you learn that, youâll never fit inâ she whispered and shoved your arm away from her grasp. You looked at her for a brief moment before shaking your head and turning off with an angry expression, back to where Sara was waiting for you. âIâm going homeâ Alexia huffed, standing up and brushing by her teammates who were protesting and calling her back. But to no avail, she was gone.
-
You woke the next morning with Sara in your apartment and groaned at the fact that she was still here.
âGood morningâ Sara smiled.
âYeah, good morningâ you nodded.
âLast night was really niceâ she hummed, stroking her fingertips along your arm.
âYeah, listen-â you began as you felt her hand pull away.
âYou fucking footballers are all the sameâ she huffed, getting out of bed. She was now putting back on her clothes and cursing at you in Spanish, which youâd actually started to understand, due to many, many girls giving you somewhat of the same speech since youâd moved to Barcelona. She slammed the front door of your apartment as she left, leaving you to just groan and turn over to check your phone.
Lucia đ„
Morning mate, howâs the head? đ
Y/n đșđž
Badddddddddd
I didnât need a yelling match in my apartment this morning either đ
Hot Spanish girls will be the death of me
Lucia đ„
Want to come for breakfast with me and Ona?
Can collect you in like half an hour?
Y/n đșđž
Yeah okay go on then see you soon
It was exactly half an hour later when Lucy picked you up, Ona was sat in the passenger seat as you flopped into the back.
âHolaâ Ona smiled.
âHola Ona, how are you?â You smiled back.
âGood, and you?â She asked.
âTiredâ you chuckled. Ona liked you, and saw a side to you that most people didnât see.
Despite the lack of care you had for the endless stream of girls youâd slept with, you had one code you lived by, and that was the Bro Code. You and Lucy were friends, so Ona was off limits and was just your friend too. There was never an awkwardness or a dull moment when the three of you hung out. Ona liked the side of Lucy you brought out too.
Lucy went up to order at the counter while you and Ona sat opposite each other in the booth. Your head was in your hands, still nursing the hangover you had.
âYou should be yourself moreâ Ona whispered to you.
âWhat do you mean?â You asked, removing your hands slowly from your head to look at the Spanish girl.
âYou are nice, you are a good friend to Luciaâ Ona began. âMost of the team find you insufferableâ she informed you as you just shrugged your shoulders. You were used to that with your team mates, even if you hadnât actually slept with any of these ones. âYou should try harder. Most of us are on long term contracts here and life will be easier if we all just got onâ Ona smiled as you nodded.
-
Over the next while, you took Onaâs advice and you tried. You tried to get along with them all better, and things were improving in training and on the pitch, as well as bonding events. You and Alexia had been getting on well. She appreciated you were trying to respect the values that most girls on the team had. It was just at the next team night out, when you saw a girl speaking to Alexia, that you felt your stomach curl.
âIâm gonna head homeâ you shouted in Lucyâs ear. She was fairly drunk at this stage, just dancing with Ona and some of the team as she gave you a thumbs up. You were sober enough tonight, youâd mainly stayed up at the booth, away from the dance floor, just observing what was going on.
âWhere are you going?â A voice asked from behind you, and you knew instantly who it belonged to.
âHomeâ you grunted, turning to face your captain.
âLeaving with someone again?â She raised her eyebrows at you, but it was in a more teasing fashion than the previous time youâd had this conversation.
âNo, but have fun with herâ you mumbled, nodding your head over at the woman who was stood waiting for Alexia. âSo much for thatâs not how we do things hereâ you added, imitating her accent and leaving before anything else could be said.
âAle, is everything okay?â Alba asked. The woman Alexia was talking to all night, was her sister, Alba. Sheâd already told you, thatâs not how things were done here and if anybody was one for setting an example, it was Alexia. You were just too caught up in your own head to even bother allowing herself to explain.
âFine Alba, sĂâ Alexia smiled as best she could. Youâd somehow managed on your way from the booth to the door to find a girl and went home with her. You decided to go back to her apartment, so it was easier to get out the next morning.
Youâd woken the next morning thankfully before the girl had, and got out of there as quickly as possible. When you got home and memories of last night started coming back to you. You realised you might, just might, be into Alexia. Shit.
-
You decided it was easier to keep it to yourself, your newly discovered feelings. Lucy had told you not to go there, but it was different. You didnât want to just sleep with Alexia, you wanted to date her. Youâd never felt this way about a girl before and it was overwhelming. The thought of having what Tobin has with Christen, you always thought you didnât want it. But you did want it, just with Alexia.
You found yourself drifting towards her at training and on match days, but never saying much. Youâd become quiet, almost like a shell of your former self.
âYou alright mate?â Lucy asked when sheâd came into the gym a few minutes after you did. You had already started your workout when she interrupted.
âYeah Iâm good man, you?â You replied, dropping your weights onto the ground.
âYou seem a bit distant latelyâ she shrugged. âAre you homesick or something?â She asked. You werenât homesick, you talked to Tobin a lot. But it was easier to say that you were homesick than to admit you liked Alexia.
âUh, yeahâ you nodded.
âIâm sorry mate, I get itâs toughâ she smiled softly as she patted your shoulder. You just got on with the session, no longer thinking about your conversation with Lucy.
âWell?â Ona asked as Lucy walked back up to her. Lucy had spoken to Ona about you being distant from her as she was afraid she may have done something to upset you.
âHomesickâ Lucy shrugged.
âYou know Tobin, why donât you call her? Invite her here?â Ona suggested.
âWhat if it backfires?â Lucy frowned.
âIt wonât backfire bebĂ©, itâll make her happyâ Ona smiled. Lucy shot Leah a quick text message to ask for Tobinâs number, which her English captain willingly gave over.
It was later in the day when Ona was cooking dinner in the pairâs apartment that Lucy called Tobin.
âHello, Tobin speakingâ your sister was always so formal on the phone.
âHey Tobin, uh, itâs Lucy. Lucy Bronzeâ Lucy replied.
âOh hey man, how are you?â Tobin asked before suddenly panicking as to why Lucy Bronze was currently on the other side of the phone. âIs everything alright? Is there something wrong with Y/n?â Tobin said a bit louder. Her tone was panicked enough to worry Christen who left the kitchen and sat down beside her girlfriend.
âWhat? No. Well, I donât knowâ Lucy sighed. âShe said sheâs homesickâ Lucy mumbled.
âHomesick?â Tobin frowned. âShe hasnât mentioned being homesick to meâ
âThat doesnât mean she isnâtâ Christen hummed.
âI was just wondering if you wanted to come to Barcelona? Me and Ona can help you guys get hereâ Lucy mumbled. The couple in the States shared a knowing look.
âCome on, we were going to go soon anywayâ Christen smiled. âI would be so happy if my fiancĂ© whisked me away to Barcelonaâ she added.
âOkay, okayâ Tobin laughed. âWe will be there ASAPâ Tobin nodded.
âAppreciate it. I will collect you guys from the airportâ Lucy smiled before hanging up the phone.
Tobin and Christen were coming in 5 days time and Lucy could hardly contain her excitement that sheâd planned this for you. She was beaming every time she saw you at training, but you were so caught up in your head about your feelings for Alexia, you barely noticed.
The closer the day got to Tobin arriving, the happier Lucy was getting, but you were practically crumbling. You could barely look Alexia in the eyes anymore. You were so far gone with the girl you decided you needed to do something, just to get your mind off of it.
âLucyâ you shouted at the girl who seemed to be in a bit of a rush, ushering Ona out the door of the changing room.
âYeah?â She asked, handing Ona the keys to go out to the car.
âDo you want to do something? We could go get coffee or lunch?â You asked.
âSorry mate, me and Ona have plansâ her plan heavily involved you, but you didnât know that.
âOh okay, yeah, no problemâ you smiled unconvincingly and nodded.
âIâll see you later, yeah?â She asked and you nodded again. She headed for the door, everyone else filtered out long ago, but your captain was only heading inside.
âHiâ Alexia hummed when she came into the changing rooms. You were changed already but were just enjoying the silence, scrolling on your phone.
âHeyâ you replied, quietly.
âYou donât seem yourselfâ she said while taking things from her cubby.
âJust have a bit on my mindâ you shrugged.
âOh, is everything okay?â She asked and you nodded, eyes glued firmly to the floor. âAre you sure?â She added.
âIsnât this what you wanted? Me to not be myself?â You asked.
âWhich one is the real you?â She crossed her arms now trying to meet your gaze but failing.
âI donât knowâ you snapped. âYou hate me when Iâm loud, you hate me when Iâm quiet. I donât know what you want from meâ you grunted.
âWho said I hate you?â She frowned, not like you saw that she did. âI donâtâ she made her way over to you, but you quickly stood up.
âAre we friends then?â You blurted out, weakly.
âSĂâ the Spaniard smiled and nodded.
âWould you maybe want to get a coffee?â You asked as the girl frowned.
âIsnât your sister coming today?â She asked.
âMy sister?â You laughed.
âSĂ, Lucia said she-â the girl stopped herself from continuing when she saw your eyebrows raise and your jaw fall. It was then she realised Lucy may have said something about it being a surprise. âOh no no no no noâ she waved her hands in the air. âYou cannot tell her I ruined thisâ she laughed.
âShit, then I need to goâ you scrambled all of your stuff together before running out the door.
âY/nâ Alexia called as you swung back in the door frame. âWe will get that coffee soon, okay?â She smiled as you grinned and nodded. You rushed off to your car, driving home quickly to do some cleaning before your guests arrived and you could pretend like you didnât know.
âItâs just that one thereâ Lucy pointed at your door as Tobin walked up and knocked. Lucy had made her way back downstairs to her car by the time you opened the door.
âHeyâ Tobin shouted.
âSurpriseâ Christen beamed.
âHeyâ you smiled, pulling them both into a hug. âI missed you guysâ.
âWell, let us in thenâ Tobin laughed as you stepped back for them to get by you. You had a guest bedroom in your apartment that the pair were staying in. You showed them your favourite new spots in Barcelona for walks, for food and to relax. You took them for a tour of the training complex, and that is when your sister met Alexia for the first time.
âIs that Putellas?â Tobin asked and you nodded.
âAleâ you shouted as she smiled and jogged over. âUh, this is my sister Tobin and her fiancĂ© Christenâ you introduced them.
âNice to meet youâ Alexia smiled.
âYou tooâ Tobin smiled. âHas my sister been causing trouble?â She smirked.
âNot anymoreâ Alexia laughed. âSheâs been great, actuallyâ she added softly. Your palms were sweating, which wasnât only down to the heat in Barcelona. Due to Tobin and Alexia being preoccupied by their conversation, they didnât notice how anxious you looked. Christen however, could read you like a book and thatâs how she became the first person to know you liked Alexia.
âSomething going on with you two?â She whispered as your eyes hit the floor and you shook your head. âBut you want there to be?â She added and you nodded this time.
âDonât tell Tobinâ you mumbled.
âIs she single?â Christen asked.
âYeahâ you nodded.
âWhy donât you ask her out?â Christen asked but your conversation was cut short by Tobin coming back to you when sheâd finished talking to Alexia.
âShe is super niceâ Tobin smiled.
âYeahâ you nodded, replying to both Christen and Tobin. You made Christen promise to not say anything to Tobin until they were at least on the plane back to the States, and in fairness to Christen, she didnât say a word until then. It had been a nice week having them there, but you also didnât mind that they were gone too. Now they were gone you could finally get that coffee with Alexia.
Y/n/n
âïž?
Ale
SĂ por favor
Now?
Y/n/n
Yeah, at the one beside your apartment
-
You and Alexia became friends, really good friends. Always pairing up for drills, sitting on the busses and planes together, and always spending the most time on a night out with the other. Sheâd stayed in your guest room last night after the team night out. You had decided, when you two started to become friends, to just bury your feelings. It was easier to be friends with someone when you werenât hopelessly in love with them, but when she emerged from the guest room in a pair of your shorts and your shirt with a few buttons undone, you couldnât help it.
âMorningâ she hummed.
âMorning Aleâ you turned your head, now clocking what she was wearing.
âAre you making breakfast?â She chuckled, but you were still just looking at her. âY/n? Whatâs wrong?â She frowned, stepping a bit closer to you.
âFuckâ you groaned loudly, sliding to the floor. Alexia dropped simultaneously to be eye to eye with you. She begged for you to tell her what it was before you couldnât take it anymore. âI really like you Aleâ you blurted out and the Spanish woman went completely silent. âIâve liked you for a while now, and Iâve really tried to put my feelings aside to not wreck our friendship, but I want thisâ you grabbed her hand and she didnât stop you.
âY/nâ she whispered looking at your interlocked hands.
âI want this. I want you in my apartment, in my clothes. I want to argue over whoâs making breakfast and dinner. I want you Aleâ you squeezed her hand a bit tighter. Alexia was silent for a long time until you prompted her to speak again. âAle, please say somethingâ you sighed. Before she spoke, she removed her hands from yours and sat fully down now on the floor.
âYou are great, Y/n/n. I love spending time with you and I could talk to you for hours and weâd never run out of things to sayâ she smiled before her expression turned cold. âBut itâs always going to play on my mind of the person you are or the person you were, when you first came here. It scares me you are looking for just that from me and then you will not speak to me againâ she sighed.
âItâs different with you Ale, por favorâ you protested. âIâm in love with youâ you admitted.
âIâm sorry. I just canât take that risk, not right nowâ she shook her head. It was silent for a long time, neither of you moving or saying anything before Alexia got up, got changed and left. And that was it, your friendship with Alexia was ruined and there was no turning back now.
-
It had been a couple of weeks since that morning in your apartment with Alexia. Neither of you had spoken to each other since that day, and it was starting to become more obvious to everyone that you two werenât speaking. Youâd just been going to and from training, never once straying or putting yourself out there with the team. They were Alexiaâs friends anyway, not yours.
âYou seem sadâ Ingrid whispered from beside you after training.
âIâm fineâ you shrugged, beginning to pack your things away quicker now to get out of this conversation.
âIf youâre fine, youâll come out tonight then?â She smiled.
âI canât, I uh-â you tried quickly to think of an excuse.
âYou, uh, donât have an excuseâ Ingrid teased as you rolled your eyes. âCome on party girl, you know you want toâ she smirked.
âFine, but just one drinkâ you sighed and held up one singular finger. One drink had quickly turned to seven and you were happily drunk as Ingrid pulled you towards the dance floor to where Mapi and the rest of the team were.
âHola chicaâ Mapi smiled. She liked you now that youâd become less of a dickhead.
âVamosâ Lucy shouted jumping on your back. You locked eyes with Alexia for a few seconds before quickly pulling away. âThat girl has had eyes on you since we came inâ Lucy laughed and pointed to the girl. She was sat alone on a bar stool, sipping a colourful drink and she was hot.
âSheâs prettyâ Ona chimed in. Alexia followed the direction of where Lucy was pointing and quickly found herself looking at a girl she knew was staring at you. She looked back at you, knowing full well youâd be looking back at the girl with a cocky smirk on your face. Only, you werenât. Your eyes were fixated on the floor and you looked uncomfortable. Maybe you had changed?
Alexia had missed you. She missed your coffee dates, watching movies on each others couches. She missed teaching you Spanish, she missed your cooking, your touch, your smell. She missed how you made her feel, and you made her feel safe being in love with you.
âIâm fine, Luceâ you shook your head. âItâs not how these nights areâ you shrugged.
âWhen have you ever cared about that?â Lucy laughed.
âI dunnoâ you replied. âBut Iâm honestly fineâ you smiled. You had no interest anymore. Maybe it wasnât meant to be with Alexia, but you wanted to settle down and find someone.
âLucia stop being annoyingâ Alexia smirked as she came over and put her hand around the English girl.
âIâm just telling Y/n that the girl at the bar is giving her fuck me eyes, do you not think so?â Lucy was drunk, so now wasnât time to punch her, but you really wanted to.
âLucy, Iâve said enoughâ you frowned. There was an awkward silence before the song suddenly changed and a few of your team mates began to cheer. You were pushed by people further into the dance floor, falling forward and towards Alexia.
âDo you want to dance?â Alexia whispered as you nodded. She took your hand and led you a bit away from everyone. The dancing got a bit intense, lingering touches and lust filled eyes were being easily spotted by anybody who was looking at you two. Ona and Lucy were now coming to the realisation why you had no interest in the girl at the bar. You liked Alexia.
âAleâ you moaned as her body dug impossibly further into you. âWe should stopâ you suggested.
âNoâ she shook her head and grabbed your hands, placing them on her waist. âI was wrong when I said no to youâ.
âPlease Ale, just let me take you home. Youâre drunkâ you pleaded but the girl frantically shook her head at you.
âNo, just listen to me. I love you tooâ she whispered.
âYou two alright?â Mapi interrupted. You were too stunned to even speak right now, both of you were just staring at each other without replying to Mapi.
âAle, you should go homeâ Ingrid smiled empathetically to the captain she now had in her hold.
âY/n can take you home, sĂ?â Mapi asked you as you nodded. You wandered off to get Alexia and your jackets before coming back to help get her in a taxi. You debated dropping her at her apartment and leaving, but she was too drunk for that thought to last longer than a few seconds. You took her back to your place and you had completely sobered up by now. Somehow she seemed more drunk than she was at the club. You eventually got her sat at the kitchen table with the biggest glass you owned filled to the top with water. Youâd left her there while you went to get the guest room ready and grab her a pair of shorts and a shirt.
âCome on, weâll get you to bedâ you sighed when you came back to find the glass empty now and her head resting on the table.
âI need to take my make up offâ she groaned and pulled you by the hand to your bathroom. She sat on the counter and handed you her bag which had make up wipes in it.
âHow the hell do I do this?â You laughed. She took a wipe from the package and started to rub your face with it teasingly.
âEstĂșpidaâ she mumbled with a smile.
âOkay smart-ass, give me itâ you took the wipe off her and took her make up off, moving your hand more gently than the force she had wiped your already make up free face with. You helped her off the counter and disposed of the used wipes in the bin. âI left you spare clothes in the roomâ you pointed to the door of the guest room.
âGraciasâ she whispered. She stopped at the door, like she was contemplating her next words before she spoke again. âGood night, Y/n/nâ
âNight, Aleâ you smiled, until she closed the door. Your head flung backwards as you let out a sigh once sheâd disappeared.
The you of a few months ago would have happily taken Alexia home for other reasons tonight, but you didnât want just that with her. Not even after sheâd rejected you did you want to settle for anything less, with anybody. Alexia made you realise you wanted this with someone, even if it wasnât going to be her.
You didnât even try to sleep, you already knew you wouldnât be able to. You headed to the couch and watched reruns of a Spanish TV show that you had no idea what was going on in. You were mainly scrolling on your phone, trying to think of anything else. It was around 6am, about 3 hours since you got home, when you were still wide awake that she made an appearance.
âNo sleep?â She asked as she shuffled into the living room. You shook your head at her. You forgot about that day when you told her you loved her, how good she looked in your clothes.
âDo you need something?â You asked.
âWaterâ she nodded. You headed off to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water while the girl made herself comfy on the couch. You handed it to her before taking a seat beside her. She took a swig of it before speaking. âI know I was drunk before, but I did mean itâ she began. âI shouldnât have said noâ
âItâs okayâ you shrugged. âI get that Iâm a dickhead. I just really tried to be who you wanted me to be. I get that either way Iâm not good enough for you but-â Before you could finish your sentence Alexiaâs lips were on yours. It took half a second for you to kiss her back. You pulled her onto your lap and she deepened the kiss.
âYouâre amazingâ Alexia breathed out. âYou care for me and-â she stuttered.
âI love youâ you whispered, cutting her off.
âI love you tooâ she smiled before connecting your lips again.
You and Alexia quickly began dating, much to the amusement of practically everyone. Long gone was the cocky, arrogant American who played with girlsâ feelings for fun. You were now the resident American in Barcelona who was a total simp for your captain.

Forgot to say, i also loved the fanzone atmosspheres! As far as i'm aware, there wasn't really any public viewing in germany, and obviously not here in austria were i live rn because they didn't qualify. But it was so much fun to watch the games i wasn't in the stadium for at the fan zones, even as someone travelling alone. And as far as i saw in ZĂŒrich and so on every pub was showing the games! So kudos to all the volunteers, sponsors etc. for making that possible!
Omg yes I forgot to talk about the fanzone! They were all really good and the people working there were really sweet and amazing.
Yes, a lot of places were showing the games outside of it. Like I said earlier, I wasnât expecting so much attention of that much people. It really was amazing đ„°

That's amazing, i love to hear that swiss people also enjoyed this tournament that much!
I went to switzerland for nearly 2 weeks and saw 6 group stage games live, and i've fot to say it was amazing! As a german, i was obviously rooting for them, but i was a huge fan of the swiss team before (because some players i really love watching for their clubs), and even more so now. So glad i got to see two of their games, although i was kinda dissapointed with the Geneva fan walk after i had been to the one in Bern before the swiss - iceland game. But honestly, the whole vibe in switzerland was amazing, and i fell in love with the country and will definitely be back as soon as possible! And yeah, what the federation and Lia did to promote the tournament and provide fans with the best experience was massive, hope she knows how much of the tournaments success is (seemingly) down to her
And I love to hear that foreign people had as much pleasure as we did đ„°đ„°
Six games is really amazing, Iâm glad you were able to enjoy that much âșïž
I donât think that our team already had so much attention from people before, itâs really massive and surprising. I think itâs because of that that the girls were sad of the end of their tournament too đ„ș
Yeah I donât know what happened with Geneva to be honest. The stadium isnât placed at a good place for the walk maybe? In Bern and Basel it was in the middle of the city, Genevaâs one is more like between big roads đ€·đŒââïž
But Iâm so glad you want to come back. Which places would you like to go to?
We need to build a statue for Lia đ

!! STOLEN WORK !!
Hi everyone, I am posting to these tags as I have found that there is an 'author' on here who has been using google translated works from other authors- here is the proof.
This account started off by publishing a luna fic that I realised after reading just a few chapters, was most definetly stolen, and I ended up finding the original author.
Their fic 'Camp Wiegman' is a google translated version of a french Clexa fanfiction on AO3. This original fanfiction is 'Camp Jaha' by Dreamybeliza on AO3, and whilst I do not know French, and therefore cannot contact them about this theft, I knew it was the right thing to do by telling others about this.
For proof, here is the first two paragraphs (ish) of both of the fanfictions. I have translated 'Camp Jaha' to English for these examples.
Camp Jaha:
Camp Wiegman:
Now, whilst I have not looked into their other 'works' on here, I would expect that you'd be able to find a pattern of them doing this. And thus I would also expect them to be stolen works.
With the rise of AI writing, and the influx of these fanfictions taking over the community, I also believe that it is important that we look for authors who may be using translated works. If you simply look at the writing, you can tell that the english translation wouldnt use such symbols of quotation marks around speech. You will also find within the fics that they have translated that at some points they get so lazy that they forget to change the name of characters to the desired ones.
As a final note, fanfiction writers take such great care when writing their fics, and for someone to come into the community and do this is actually appauling. I hope that after you've read this you will be able to tell more distinctively what is stolen work.
Also, here is the original fic 'Camp Jaha' if you would like to read it, you can just automatically translate it on most laptops- and I would recommend it as I found it really good.
p.s. if they say anything about this post on their account i wont know as i have them blocked, but please feel free to let me know.
