Peace [ピース]
A peaceful magical girl with a biased, yet positive view of Akiba culture. She appeared with her partner Veil in Akihabara, but doesn’t know what her purpose is. She seems to have some strong beliefs, but refuses to talk about them. Maybe Anarchy and friends are the final piece to her puzzle…
CV: Sumire Uesaka
Additional notes under the cut.
Our first game only character!
In game, Peace is supposed to be a tankier support. She restores health and gives your party defense boosts with her skills. Her design seems to have some Cleric and Paladin motifs also, so it’s not much of a surprise. She is given to you for free after finishing the story’s second chapter.
The last line more literally translates to “Anarchy and friends are important in helping her find her purpose”, but I couldn’t pass up the pun.
Peace = Piece = Puzzle piece.
Sumire Uesaka has a lot of voice roles, but some prominent ones are Hayase Nagotoro, Jataro Kemuri from Danganronpa Another Episode, and Lum in the 2022 Urusei Yatsura reboot. She also sang Pop Team Epic’s self-titled opening song.

Pink [ピンク]
A magical girl who never takes off her signature gas mask. Her trusty syringe is filled with a “nice homemade medicine.” It’s hard to understand what she says when all you hear from her mask is “Gobo-gobo.”
CV: Tomoyo Kurosawa
Additional notes under the cut.
Pink takes hard psychedelics. I do not trust her “nice homemade medicine”.
Gobo is onomatopoeia for gurgling. It’s also the only thing you will ever hear Pink say. It’s the same concept as Pyro from Team Fortress 2, where you can hear the voice actor’s emotions but not their direct words. In important scenarios, Blue will relay what Pink is saying.
Bonus:
Pink dreams of working at a maid cafe.
Tomoyo Kurosawa voices Kumiko Oumae in the Sound Euphonium series, Michelle / Misaki Okusawa in Bang Dream, and Phosphophyllite in Land of the Lustrous. She also voices Mizuki Okiura in AI: The Somnium Files, a good game that more people should play.

Blue [ブルー]
A perverted magical girl who proudly follows her three desires. She’s horny and doesn’t intend to hide it, ignoring the needs of those around her. She’s the type who finds pleasure in pain. Though Anarchy can get into Blue’s head, she’s exhausted at what she’s been seeing in there.
CV: Aimi
Additional notes under the cut.
“Three desires” is a hard thing to narrow down. The best match I could find is the Buddhist concept of Tanhā. Tanhā is split into three types: Kama-tanhā, Bhava-tanhā, and Vibhava-tanha. I don’t have the knowledge or time to fully explain these concepts, but the basic overview of each desire seems to fit blue. Kama-tanhā is the desire to feel pleasant things, Bhava-tanhā is the desire to become something new, and Vibhava-tanhā is the desire to avoid unpleasant things. If there are any mistakes in this brief writeup, feel free to correct me. This concept is completely new to me, but I thought it was interesting enough to share.
The text literally says she has “high sexual desires”. Took some creative liberties on the wording because nobody talks like that. Please do not smite me, Tumblr management.
The Anarchy and Blue thing is a metaphor that might come off strangely. TLDR; trying to understand Blue confuses and tires Anarchy out.
Bonus:
Though not seen in the game, Blue is shown listening to New Order in the anime. I believe some of her attacks name drop their songs, but I’d have to rewatch to remember which ones.
Aimi voices Kasumi Toyama from Bang Dream and Serval from Honkai Star Rail. She also sung the Magical Destroyers opening theme!

Anarchy [アナーキー]
A magical girl who enjoys otaku culture in her hometown of Akihabara. The otaku who live there call her Anarchy-chan, enamored by her harsh tone of voice. She overwhelms the anti-nerd forces with her immense magical power.
CV: Fairouz Ai
Additional notes under the cut.
As I don’t know Japanese, the translations for each character bio are kind of roundabout. Using DeepL and Google Translate as cross references, I’m attempting to preserve the original message of the text while making it sound more natural in English. I put these notes here for when I take creative liberties in the translation.
The first line could be seen as “rooted in Akihabara” or “based in Akihabara”. Going off of the anime, Anarchy’s hometown is technically unknown. She was sent to Otaku Hero from an unknown location. Regardless, I chose the phrase “hometown” since it’s where she’s the most comfortable. Even though she wasn’t born there, she’s connected to it in the same way.
Not sure if the harsh/crude remark refers to her voice or her vocabulary. Either could work.
The text at the end roughly translated to “overwhelming the armies with overwhelming force” so I tried to make it flow better.
Bonus:
Aside from voicing Anarchy, Fairouz Ai’s discography has some familiar faces for those into modern anime. She voiced Jolyne Cojuh in the Stone Ocean anime and Power in Chainsaw Man.

Archival Help Wanted!
Magical Destroyers Kai is shutting down on August 31st. As much as I would love to compile all the cards myself, I don’t have a way to extract resources from the game itself. Getting a full archive of the cards and skills before shutdown isn’t plausible on my own.
If anyone wants to help out with the preservation, I’ll open submissions so you can upload your own cards and DESTROY animations! I will post everything in my personal collection, but I would love to preserve all the SSR art before this game goes down.
