physically, koen looked tense. psychologically feeling his mood, it frankly felt like a bundle of nerves in a frenzy. zan’s ability helps her to sense the intensity of his bad dream.

Koen had spent the night at Kon's place to spend some time with him.

It was quite late and Koen woke up from a nightmare. He stayed in bed for a bit, but he was starting to get into his own head so he got up and headed to Kon's room and opened the door

He wasn't sure who was gonna wake up but he'd take anyone at this point

zandelle was still up, mostly working on some tasks from zatanna. the room door was left ajar, which allowed koen to have a peek inside. she sourced through a big, purple crystal ball, clear and shiny. zan, ever the one with sensitive ears, she whips her head around towards the door.

“koen? i thought you were sleeping.”

she pauses in her chair, knowing he’s most likely looking for conner, patting the space on the bed with a gentle hand.

“conner’s out getting something, but you’re welcome in if you’d like.”

zandelle senses the furrowed expression on koen’s face. she doesn’t have to manually turn around to know he’s troubled by something.

“somethin’ you wanna talk about?”

she began, shuffling her tarot cards back into a neat deck. zan didn’t want to come off as ‘reading’ him, which allowed koen the option to tell her what was bothering him, if he wanted to.

“i know we’re not… ‘close’, per say. but something tells me you’re troubled.”
