Are you going to be making a Magitale story or nah?

Depends. I have made a small start on short stories, but would people be interested in a full-fledged story? Would people be interested in the story from the beginning when Frisk falls into the underground, or from ‘present day’ on the surface?

Now, drawing comics burn me out pretty quick, so it would probably have to be written as that’d be easier on me. But would people really be interested in a full-fledged story? I’d love to if there’s interest. I just haven’t had the motivation to do so yet because I wanted to get most of the important characters drawn first, but art block keeps kicking me in the butt.

Here’s how to enter, and ONLY how to enter:

You must create a video about your Echo world or Echo follower, upload it to YouTube (and YouTube only) and mention @underfellfangame in your post. In this video, you must describe if said Echo or Echo follower is on team Ink or team Error. Basically, who’s side are they on? After, make sure to show a link to our Game Jolt page and list the link in the description as well! You do NOT have to talk in your video if you don’t want to, but it’s encouraged. Bonus point if you tell people to check the game out!

The video does NOT have to be professionally edited and does NOT have any sort of set time. It can be anywhere from like, 1 minute to 30 minutes if you want - the longer, the better, though! You can be as creative as you want and do whatever you’d like in the video as long as the explanation is understood. It could be an animation to a documentary, go crazy!

You can use any of our uploaded music as long as you credit Iñigo del Valle.

Quick Update

((Just a quick update. I’ve added a ‘Rules and guidelines’ page, and I’ve updated the ‘About Magitale’ page to include Minor Underground characters such as Grillby, Muffet and others. A few of these minor characters will eventually get art just like the main cast, though they’ll most likely be the last to get any concept art.

Also, to keep things from getting too stagnant on here because I’m horribly slow at drawing, I will be using word prompts, such as this one http://happylilprompts.tumblr.com/post/159938874056/50-word-prompts to write short stories for the AU. This is so I can explore the characters more, other than through art and asks. If anyone knows of or finds any other word prompt posts like the one I linked, please submit them, I’d love to have more word prompts to use. And if anyone wants me to do a short story for a particular prompt, just send an ask and I’ll give it a go!))

Since moving to the surface five years ago, not much has really changed for the Skelebros except for Papyrus’ clothing style. Instead of wearing the armor he made for himself in the Underground, he’s adopted a style that fits in more so he doesn’t quite stand out as much among humans. Why? Because both he and Sans are part of the A.B.G. (Ambassador Bodyguards) that formed shortly after Magi returned to the surface. They now work as bodyguards for Frisk and Asriel, who are co-ambassadors for the Magi.

Personality-wise, Papyrus hasn't changed much at all. He considers being a bodyguard for Frisk and Asriel an honour, perhaps moreso than being a Royal Guard (which still exists to an extent). As such, he takes his role very seriously and works hard to make sure no harm comes to Frisk and Asriel; he even has a 'darker' version of his outfit (similar to Sans') for more important/urgent meetings/events Frisk and Asriel may attend as Ambassadors, so he doesn't bring attention to himself. However, he also understands that Frisk and Asriel are children, so he does his best to always encourage them and make their days brighter. And if he feels they need a break from their Ambassador duties, he'll figure out a way to break them away so they can just be kids for a while. When it comes to combat, he was already an incredible fighter but over the past five years has only gotten better! He often spars with both Sans and Undyne (sometimes at the same time), and often helps train Frisk and Asriel. People do sometimes underestimate him because of his friendly and cheerful personality, but those that dare try to harm Frisk and Asriel soon learn that's near impossible with Papyrus and Sans watching over them.

As for Sans, he has changed quite a bit himself. Though he can still be quite depressive and apathetic, he almost seemed to find a new lease on life when the Magi returned to the surface. It might have something to do with Frisk vowing to never use the Reset ever again, or it might be something else. Either way, Papyrus finds he often doesn't have to convince Sans to get up and do things anymore, and Sans seems a good deal happier than he's been since the Skelebros moved to the Surface. He can still be rather lazy, but he thinks of it as a bad habit he can't really break. Don't let his laziness fool you though. Much like Papyrus, he's an incredible fighter. Unlike Undertale!Sans, he is a Magi and has a different body-shape, so his fighting style is different to Undertale!Sans. Despite how thin he looks, he's very athletic and agile, using a mix of martial arts and breakdancing to both attack and dodge. He does sometimes surprise Undyne with just how good he is, as she never really thought of him as a good fighter when they lived in the Underground. There are still some mysteries about him though; such as why he wears the bandana around his face, and why he's such a powerful fighter despite how lazy and laid-back he once was. Most people will never know why.

People seem to forget a lot of stuff about Papyrus in favor of giving him a childlike persona, so I have compiled a list of stuff he has actually done. Papyrus:

Is legitimately sarcastic, and has lightheartedly snarked at Undyne a couple times.

Used reverse psychology on Undyne in order to get her to make friends with Frisk.

Apparently able to solve the newspaper crossword puzzle with ease.

Made a trap on the bridge that was perfectly capable of giving you hell, but chose to deactivate it because he thought it wouldn’t be fair.

Is actually really goddamn organized.

Enjoys seeing things that are in order and well structured.

Doesn’t like Grillby’s.

Thinks almost everything about Hotland is stupid and believes their entire method of getting around is ridiculous.

Is grossed out pretty easily.

The one who convinced Sans to get a job.

Capable of looking after him in the past and mentioned having to keep him on the “straight and narrow”.

Is not some helpless child who constantly has to be babied by Sans.

He is hardworking as hell, he just plain doesn’t give up, on his aims or on people.

Seems to be pretty dexterous, normally sticking the window landing. 

He’s easily formidable enough to join the Royal Guard in terms of combat.

Insecure at times about not having too many friends, and quickly changed his stance on Grillby’s after Undyne says she likes it.

Really tries to take care of his friends, like he encourages Alphys, got Sans to get up and find work, and when Undyne was depressed in the neutral ending he does his best to make her happy again.

Internalized his grief and loneliness over the absence of his friends when he was made ruler, not even telling Sans about it, but kept on trying to give everyone hope regardless.

Is not only capable but seriously nurturing, friendly, and unabashedly encouraging to everyone he comes across.

So about Magitale; In this Undertale AU, monsters aren't monsters, but human-esque beings called Magi who are innately born with the ability to use magic. And using that magic slowly changes their appearance, causing them to gain monster-like attributes. Unlike Magi, humans weren't innately born to able to use magic, they had to learn through studying magic. However, as humans became more dependant on technology over the years, they began to lose their ability to learn magic and became fearful that despite their technology, the Magi would eventually become stronger than them (which would never have happened as, like with Undetale, humans themselves were ten times stronger than most Magi). This led to a great war between humans and Magi, which obviously the Magi lost and those remaining were trapped under Mt. Ebbot. Things pretty much follow the same path as Undertale. The main bulk of the AU is set in a True Pacificist timeline, five years after the barrier has been destroyed. Most Magi live on the surface, however some prefer to remain in the Underground.

((Welp, this is about as good as it’s gonna get for now. A page for ‘About Magitale’ is up with an explanation of this AU, along with brief descriptions for the main Underground characters.

I do want to eventually draw art for this AU, but that will have to wait until December, as I have a three week vacation to England starting Nov 9th. Until then, just sit tight ^u^; ))
