10:43 PM. Almost the exact time that grunt had mentioned. You worried about him drowning the memories in alcohol - it was basically your job to worry - but at the moment you had other things on your mind: namely, if the rumour had been true. (1/6)

pYou could barely even wrap your mind around the very concept that Admin Tabitha could- You shuddered and forced yourself to keep walking. His door was near the end of this hall, drawing closer with each step you took.  

You resolutely did NOT think of what might be happening behind that door- if you did, your nerves would get the better of you.  A mental reminder to prepare a hangover remedy for that grunt tomorrow morning, and- 

You stopped short. Admin Tabitha’s door had looked to be firmly closed when you entered the hall, but now that you were right outside, you could tell that it was still cracked open- not on purpose, you were sure.

It had to have been an accident, because he- he would never let anyone hear the heavy breathing just audible from where you were standing. Heavy breathing and a rustle, a slick shifting noise- oh dear lord that was definitely a moan.

There was no mistaking what was going on.

Pookie froze.

That was definitely Tabitha’s voice, there was no doubt. She wanted to deny it and keep telling herself that there was absolutely no way he could be performing this act at the thought of her, but all of her doubts were completely erased when she heard her own name slip past his lips.

Oh.

For a while, she couldn’t move. She stood there, by his door, listening in disbelief at his every gasp and moan and oh my God, why was she still standing there? This was so inappropriate for the work place and if she was caught listening to her boss pleasure himself then she could say goodbye to Team Magma altogether. Then again, he wasn’t exactly in the right either. He did, however, have the power and the capability to deny anything she announced, if she chose to do so, and get her into a lot of trouble for making accusations.

With feverish haste, she turned to leave, causing her boot to hit a corner on her way down the hall and towards her room, causing a loud thunk. Pookie bolted after that, not stopping until she safely locked herself in. 

She was probably never going to go down that hall ever again.

Look- look, for my own sanity here, Mom, just. Tweak your path back to your rooms at night a little so it takes you past Admin's at around 10:45. There's no way in hell I'm going back there to try and get proof for you, so you're just going to have to hear for yourself.

“I don’t... I don’t need to....”

She grumbled. It wouldn’t hurt to just change things up a little bit. Besides, nothing was going to happen anyway. She wouldn’t hear anything. It would just be a normal walk back to her room. Definitely.

“Okay. Fine, I’ll do it.”

Oh, come now, most everyone in the base already knows you have a crush on Tabi~ If he's taking the time to pleasure himself with thoughts of you, then what's the harm of you thinking a little of him?

Ooh, what a juicy rumour. Not one to be dislodged easily from one's brain, is it? Gonna be thinking about him getting off to you now, right~?

There's been a rumour circulating around the Magma base. Surprisingly, it hasn't reached the ears of the higher-ups- but then again, if it did, then whichever grunt was responsible for the leak would likely not be seen for a while. Yes, this rumour was one kept in the quietest of hushed corners, grunt to grunt; "Did you hear," they'd whisper, "about the time one of the other guys was heading back to their quarters and passed by Admin Tabitha's room?" (1/2)

“What? No, I haven’t, I just got back from a mission a couple days ago.” If anything, their voices grew quieter. “That guy noticed that the Admin’s door was still cracked open a little bit and he heard some, erm, odd noises coming from inside. When he went a little closer, he heard him say Mom’s name!” Silence. “Holy shit, was he jacking off to Mo-” “SHHHH not so loud!” (2/2)

Thank God it didn’t reach the higher ups. A rumor like this was something she did not want getting out, especially to Tabitha. Thankfully that was all it was, right? A rumor? There was no way that Magma Admin Tabitha would ever think of her like that.

Right?

But…

Then again, all rumors are born from some form of the truth. 

She wanted to know for sure, but how do you even ask something like that to one of your co-workers?
