i think what’s on a person’s nightstand is very telling so reblog this and put in the tags the things you have on your nightstand
#ok i am a well known Nester#like i have a full size bed at home and for many years there was a dedicated corner of my bed to hold All My Stuff#i want to be surrounded by my hoard x.x#i am now in an apartment with a twin size bed and cannot do this#so i have a real nightstand#three drawers. an open nook. and the top.#on top is a lil salt lamp. a tiny trinket dish currently holding my hair clips (the dish is always there but its job changes sometimes)#a coaster for my water bottle. my water bottle if i’m in bed. an EMERGENCY disposable water bottle for if i run out in my refillable.#and then a basket containing… more nonsense than i care ro admit#including but not limited to: lotion pillow spray glasses cleaner n cloth. my vitamin box melatonin bottle and night guard case (plus guard#during the day). chapstick. liquid bandage. nail clippers and cuticle trimmer. bedtime deodorant. q-tips. a backscratcher??? and surely more#OKAY. the open shelf is currently getting off easy w a kleenex box and my journal. it usually has a book or sometimes my yarn bowl / another#bedtime hobby item.#top drawer is s*x toys and work stuff e.g my extra laptop charger and a sweatshirt for if someone calls me while i’m working in jammies#(quite a combo i know. they’re just rhe things i need most accessible!)#middle drawer is my vitamins / meds / otc stuff… i have an appalling volume of these#and bottom drawer is misc hobby / fidget items#😁#i’m a goblin i’m a dragon i like my STUFF

i need a step by step guide to bringing up my daddy issues in therapy without feeling like a teenage cliche
(or maybe just a shorthand for, I don’t need or want you to fix this, I just need to say some shit out loud)
#but really how do you say ‘i’ve been thinking about my relationship with my father’ and not immediately die of cringe#a few weeks ago sarah marshall went on a monologue about the lingering emotional damage#of living with someone who Can be so nice and normal but turns volatile at the drop of a hat#and how it feels like you’re constantly performing for them to stay nice and that makes it feel like your fault when they Stop#and now i’m not living with him and only rarely see him and the few interactions we’ve had recently have been Nice and Normal#and I don’t think it’s intentional#I don’t think HE thinks of this#but it’s making ME gaslight myself into thinking maybe he’s changed and is ready to be like rhat all the time#even though I KNOW BETTER.#(I think very little of the harm he has inflicted on us is intentional#and maybe that’s normal but it somehow makes it feel worse)#(like i can’t even hold him responsible without proving the harm)#(and how could i ever do that when the harm isn’t a specific event but a feeling?)#UGH!!!

Aftg is fun cause all the characters are living in different genres like neil is in a mafia thriller while andrew is in some a24 drama film. Kevin is the horse girl in a horse girl movie and dan is in an underdogs sports story. Poor aaron is trying to have a normal slice of life forbidden romance type beat but then he has to go and kill a guy.

For me, the saddest thing about OFMD's cancelation is that David said multiple times he wanted to show what comes after the "Happily Ever After". That Stede and End getting together isn't the end of their story, and that relationships take work. And now, once again, a love story ends with the protagonists getting together, and we don't get to see what comes after.
