It's nice to be back at the studio. Hope everyone is doing great. Almost a month din akong hindi naka pag work dahil walang kuriyente palagi and to the point na 3 to 4 hours a day lang ang kuriyente! Buti nalang okay na ngayon hopefully tuloy tuloy na talaga! Will start making pending orders today hopefully matapos na agad! May 3 to May 4 Warming up the bench! Here's the piece that I made yesterday, Forging starts at 03:30PM, May 3 Completed at 05:20AM, May 4 This piece is not for sale! Made form 92.5 stirling silver with brass ball and wedge for accent, total weight of 43.2 grams. I made the one in copper back on October 15, 2022 but unlike the silver version that manage to create overnight, the copper pendant took almost 3 months to finished. Since full moon of May is just a day form now I thought it would be nice to make an upgraded version of the Copper Strophalos and to challenge my self to discover and learn a new from this project, I almost melt everything but I'm happy with the result. Hand-forged Emerald Serpent Ring 925 sterling silver ring with a 1.3 carat Zambian Emerald Practice piece! (Not for sale.) The copper serpent ring was my first attempt to set a gem, so I thought to give it an upgrade. I melted some scrap silver and manually beat it while crossing my fingers that it wouldn't crack during the frogging process, but unfortunately it cracked a few but was still workable. I don't have a rolling mill or laminator yet, so making wire for a ring is a laborious job. Since this is a handmade piece, adding texture requires a lot of patience. Using a saw blade to manually engrave patterns took me a while to finish, and I broke a few in the process.
