I have a smaller underbust corset (think lower back to just under the boobage) and it does INCREDIBLE stuff for my lower back pain. You can use it to get ✨snatched✨ if you wish but I use it exclusively to realign my rebellious spine and give my poor long suffering back muscles a break since I have a condition that essentially leaves my hip flexors super weak so my back muscles need to take up all the slack resulting in them seizing up after any major activity. A corset provides the support I need to walk around town AND be able to get out of my chair afterwards!

Riri correcting the corset myths before I could. Corsets, when sized and fitted correctly and worn as they usually were, are EXTREMELY comfortable, provide great back and boob support, make clothes look better, and help correct the shrimp posture most of us have these days

When I used to work in a grocery store there was a lady who’d come in with a ‘service dog’ that was not a service dog. I can say that with certainty because 1) it was a breed that’s very unusual for service dogs because they’re extremely high energy 2) the dog was paying attention to everything BUT her, sniffing everything, everyone, and generally clearly untrained for service, and c) didn’t have any actual service dog equipment (lead, harness, even papers etc) and while it was a cute dog and she was a nice lady, it was so annoying that we had to let her bring a untrained pet with her simply because we weren’t allowed to question her.

Same with when they act like there’s some global attempt to suppress knowledge of historical figures because their high school in Mississippi left them out of the course. Like, yeah, your school probably didn’t teach you that it was a woman who invented the computer programme or that it was a woman who discovered the structure of DNA and had her research stolen or that a significant portion of modern medicine owes itself to HeLa cells that were stolen from a dying black woman who was killed by medical neglect but that’s because your school was shit, it’s not aome global phenomenon
there's this thing where online leftists will be like "no history book talks about this!" and it's just blatantly untrue, like almost every history book talks about that, just not the specific one the Republican state board of education mandated for use in your middle school. most recently I saw this on a post about how gay people put in concentration camps by the nazis weren't freed after the war and the op was like "no one is ever taught this!" like no I'm sorry. most people who study the Holocaust in basically any depth will encounter that information fairly early. it was in my high school textbooks in Canada. it's in a LOT of the books you could take out from your local library. it will be mentioned in university courses. the hyperbole is not endearing actually

My X-great-Grandfather lost 13 children and 3 wives during his lifetime, I don’t think he’d describe that as easy on the soul

I finished my first 100% wool cardigan recently and lemme tell you, that mf is SO soft, SO warm, SO heavy (in a good way) and SO flowy. When I say wool is the superior material for clothing I MEAN IT. And I got the wool from small hobby farms so you know the sheep are living their best lives eating a grass with their mates. Literally everyone has won in this situation. Except me, because I have to fend off my mother who also really likes my cardigan and won’t stop trying to nick it, the swine
Ayoo just to preempt the inevitable dumb takes we’re about to start seeing;
I am PRO-WOOL
I am PRO-LEATHER
I am PRO-BEES
Fuck the idea of replacing durable, sustainable animal products with cheap, flimsy plastic that doesn’t bio-degrade. Agave nectar and other artificial sweeteners are expensive, labor-intensive, and destroy the environment to be farmed.
Do not buy into pernicious marketing campaigns pushed by dickhead organizations trying to stay relevant, like PETA.

I always thought bimbo was the female version of himbo and they both have super exaggerated characters (huge boobs/pecs, huge hips/muscles) whereas a twink is kinda skinny and understated physically and I feel like we don’t really have a term for that. I guess butch would fit if you go by the ‘twinks are more feminine than masculine’ argument but do we have a word for a skinny younger woman who’s pretty much in the middle of the masc-fem spectrum because that’s literally what I was as a teen. Skater girl is the closest thing I can think of
do NOT throw that twink down the stairs

I just realised there’s no way actual contractors would work this late, there’s multiple of them, this may just be a crime. Which to my British sensibilities is actually somehow more reassuring than having rude neighbours

For anyone wondering, it is currently 24°C give or take here in glorious Britannia. That’s all it takes to disable a British person (disembodied concept?)
sorry for not posting much y'all. I simply cannot function in warmth :(

Jigglypuff vs Samurai Jack. I feel like Jack wouldn’t want to harm such an innocent creature
Spin the wheel. That's who's trying to kill you.
Spin the wheel again. That’s who’s trying to protect you.
(If you have zero idea about the name you got, spin until you see someone you recognize.)
(Six months ago, I did a version of this poll with about five hundred options on the spinner wheel. For this one, I more than doubled it.)
