Wow wtf HIV/AIDS was discovered by Flossie Wong-Staal, an Chinese-American woman, and she’s the reason the HIV test even exists. AND THEN she invented the molecular knife that lead to treatments for HIV/AIDS. And she’s STILL ALIVE. We don’t hear about the contributions of Women of Color enough, my word. Madness.

Miku is ai. It is just a more ethical ai. There are lots of ethical ai applications all over our lives that were trained on purchased or produced data with engineers paid appropriately and not doing anything unethical.

This is like the word robot — once a robot is just part of your daily life you stop calling it a robot. It is just your laundry machine or what have you.

Siri is ai. Any predictive models online are ai. There is lots of ai that is just “a heuristic mode tool”. It isn’t revolutionary or ridiculously unethical. Its been part of computer engineering for decades.

It’s how you use it and what you feed into it that is the problem. Because it allows you to do evil on grand scales and have an end product where nobody is to “blame”. That is what is important at the end of the day. Ai isn’t the singularity. It isn’t doing anything on its own. It’s people making bad decisions and making things shitty that is the problem.
