So about that Lancer campaign!

Had my first ever proper session aaaaaaaaand It's clear i've joined in the middle of something [tm]

It started with me and the other newbie getting introduced to the party after they have been out hunting megafauna for a scientist.

Then we're put into UNION MANDATED TEAM BUILDING (I.e barhopping and a mock battle to teach us, the new players, basic combat)

THEN we find out our instructor is an unregistered NHP aaaaand she's in league with the planetary President (whom was though dead but that was a clone???) And he offered the party a riveting speech about his grand ambition to use the power of friendship to kill/banish/??? RA and shatter the First Contact Accord.

Arguing ensues with the party as said President spills all the tea about them.

Siblings have shot at eachother. The furry is questioning their life choices. The biologist is contemplating evolution and i'm there like-

I think it's finally time for me to give in. I'm going to learn Lancer. It's mecha time

Mech should have radiators not because it makes engineering sense but because a mech fuming smoking hot coolant from its vents and its white-hot radiator struggling to keep the internal temperature down after firing off high intensity beam weapon or activating highly advanced systems is fucking hot.

Vent about war

Ever since I was a child, I was told me learn history so it won’t repeat itself. Yet before my eyes it’s repeating itself as if we have not learned this lesson multiple times

When have we lost our humanity? When have we decided we care about oil prices more than the lives of innocent civilians. When have we decided that instead of climbing trees we want to bomb those trees.

I have a life ahead of me. I have national parks to go to, I have trips to Europe to celebrate my achievements, I have careers to pursue. Will my life have to be paused or put on hold? Will I not wake up one day because my city was bombed?

So I feel like there's a somewhat pipeline when it comes to mech fans or to an extent at least. Like you start out small and then it just spirals out of control, like for me it was Titanfall 2 then armored core 6 then finally lancer. Like the level of bullshit got out of hand quickly there

But still I like all three franchises and don't fret Gundam fans I like you to but a special heart to Titanfall 2

Also on a different note how funny would it be for a helldiver to get their hands on an AC. Like how long would that thing last in their hands a few minutes a couple of seconds like I'm kind of curious about that, just imagine a plain old hell diver just got their hands on a decent AC. Like not met up but like fairly good you know how long would it last and would they die to enemies or just blow themselves up I'm kind of curious on that

Also yes I know about BattleTech I haven't really gotten into it there's stuff looks cool do not get me wrong but I haven't been strangled by them properly yet

Also here have a random AC I made, also a different question how often do you just name your mecha silly names, for example my personal Lancaster's name big pup
