Just when I think I have learned the way to live, life changes
Just when I think I have learned the way to live, life changes
For about three years I have been blogging, on and off. But for about a year I have been updating twice a week (pretty much). I have talked about books, music, movies, tv-shows, and for the most part…everything beauty related. I have spent hours thinking about what to post next, what to talk about, what pictures to take and how to formulate each and every post. I have done talked about products I…

I love sunglasses, and I think they can finish an outfit or a look, or just say something about who you are. Here is my sunglass collection. Some of my favourite sunglasses come from Quay Australia (I am not sponsored or affiliated with them, I JUST love their sunglasses).
My absolute favourites are from Quay Australia and are called Tell Me Why. I have them in mirrored rose gold. They are super comfortable to wear, not too heavy or to light, and they rest nicely on my nose. I have high cheekbones so for me it is a must that I can smile without lifting the sunglasses with my cheeks, and I can with these. I bought mine on Asos last year.
Another pair of Quay sunglasses that I own are the Fleur ones in silver. These are beautiful and a work of art, but I have a wide head and they are a little tight on the sides. However they aren’t so tight that I can’t wear them. They are a bit heavier than the Tell Me Why ones, and I assume that is because the frame is more elaborate and has more too it. I bought these at Steen & Strøm in Oslo two years ago.
My third pair of Quay sunglasses are called Odin and are in a tortoiseshell frame. It took me a while to really like these and I think that is because of the bar on top and the fact that they sit very close to my face. They are in a, what I assume at least is, plastic frame so they are very lightweight and comfortable to wear. They pretty much go with anything and works with any outfit. I bought these at Coverbrands.no
Trying to look all cool…
For a long time the only sunglasses I would wear would be pilot glasses, so I have two pairs in my little collection. One pair has green glasses with a silver frame and the other has orange glasses with a gold frame. They are both brand-less and I can’t remember where I bought them.
The last pair makes me feel like an old lady. I think it has to do with how the colour is graduated, the shape of the frame and the fact that I bought them in a vintage shop in Oslo called Velouria Vintage. I have a vintage dress and I always where these with it.
Now I just need sunny weather so I can wear my sunglasses.
Xoxo

Over the distant mountains morning breeze blows
Humming through robust beech birch and oak trees Evergreen pines whistle to the tune of nippy breeze Group of songbirds sing delightful springtime Songs Twirling flossy clouds dance graceful waltzes Mountain range beneath has got rich pastures Cows graze fresh grass in lavish green Meadows Chiming cowbells from mornings to evenings
Sunlight glistens after early morning showers Pearls like dewdrops fastened to lilac flowers Beautiful Little lilacs flourish in heavy Clusters Spreading honey scented appealing fragrances
May’s spring days are refreshing and sunny Trees have new leaves flowers rapidly bloom When cool breeze blows through the garden Young maple leaves rustle and pansies dangle

First impressions; Pixi + ItsJudyTime, and a tutorial
First impressions; Pixi + ItsJudyTime, and a tutorial
I´ve heard amazing things about this collaboration between Pixi And ItsJudyTime. I´ve been looking for a palette that has peachy-purple shades and I liked the look of this palette. It is called ItsEyeTime and contains twelve shades where half of them are matte and the other half is shimmery. Even though the packaging is plastic it feels sturdy enough. The shades range from neutral, peach toned…

I am using Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics palette for this look, I am also trying out a new mascara from lóreal. I opted out of wearing foundation, bronzer and that jazz because I got my nose pierced this week and I want to let it heal without any makeup getting in the way.
With a flat brush i apply Nudie all over my lid to create a base and a transition shade.
Then, with a RealTechniques blending brush, I grab a bit of Instinct and apply that to the outer corner and crease, and go a little bit under my lower lash line, and I blend it out and up.
With my Bobbi Brown Eye blender brush blend everything together. Next, I apply the shade Lethal under my bottom lashes with a small eyeliner (precision brush) from RealTechniques. I try to blend it inwards and to make it softer and lighter as I am going towards the inner corner. To get the look to where I want I use the shade Instinct again, but this time going from about the middle of my bottom lash line and inwards. I then apply liquid eyeliner from Kat von D, tattoo liner in trooper, and I do a wing.
The only thing left to do is apply mascara, and for this look I want to use LÓréal Miss Baby Roll mascara. I like how it gives a lot of volume and not a lot of length.
That is the finished look! Soft, simple and looks good.
Here is everything I used, brushes included. I have to say that the palette is just so amazing!

April Favourites
Affiliate link April is truly one of my favourite months. The weather gets warmer, the days get longer, nature starts waking back up and slowly turns green, white, pink, yellow and every other colour as well. I love being able to go outside and not have to wear thick clothes to keep warm. My new tv favourite this month has been Big Little Lies! Such an amazing show, with strong, smart, complex…

She Walks in Beauty I love this poem by Lord Byron, and I just wanted to share it with you. Poetry has been a huge part of my life since I was very little, and my love of them has just grown. There are so many things you can "hide" in a poem, and it can mean so many different things to so many different people.

10 Things I Would Save in a Fire
10 Things I Would Save in a Fire
I saw Gabby do this in a video and I thought it would be fun to copy her. Here are the 10 things I would save in a fire. I thought putting together this list would be smooth sailing and very easy, but it actually took me a while, and I really had to think about it. I have picked things that mean something to me, and are irreplaceable. My MacBook air. I have so many pictures, and documents on my…

There are SO many makeup brands, and SO many products that I would LOVE to try so I thought it could be fun to make a list of the products I am dying to get my hands on.
Lets start with hair. Ouai recently came out with a new dry shampoo, and I think it sounds really, really cool. It is called Dry Shampoo Foam. As the name said it is a dry shampoo foam, and it kind of looks like hair foam that you use when you style your hair. Instead of leaving your hair sticky and crunchy it is supposed to leave it looking clean (or cleanish). I am so intrigued by this, and would love to try it.
I have such a long list of makeup I want to try and play with, so I had to narrow it down and give you the ones that are at the top of my list.
TooFaced Sweet Peach palette has been on my list since it was announced that it was coming out. I own one palette from TooFaced, Chocolate Bar palette, and I absolutely love it. The colours in this palette are just amazing, and so different from anything I own and it would be a grate addition to my collection. It would be so much fun to do tutorials with it! *drooling*
Tarte Make Believe in Yourself; Eye & Cheek palette! Just look at it! The colours in the palette are gorgeous, and I am just antsy to play with it. There are so many options, and so many looks that could be created with it! I am having makeup-fomo…
I have heard amazing things about Hourglass vanish seamless finish foundation stick (longest name in ever… Foundation on the left) and it is one of my top I-want-to-try-it-foundations. From what I have seen the texture is wonderful and it blends like a dream. I haven’t tried a stick foundation before, and this one intrigues me. The same goes for Hourglass Hidden Corrective Concealer. I like how it says that it is easy to blend, weightless, moisturising and covers dark circles.
  Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick
Hidden® Corrective Concealer
Tarte is one of those brands I have been drooling over for years, and their Rainforest of the sea range is just to die for! I have been wanting to try this foundation since it came out. I like how it says that it is a lightweight full-coverage, hydrating foundation and that is has SPF 15. Can we just talk about the packaging for a second; it is gorgeous and sleek, as is the whole Rainforest of the sea range. Just so darn beautiful!
Burberry Silk and Bloom blush palette is one of the most beautiful blushes I have ever seen. The colour is so me, and I think this is what all my blush dreams are made of. I have a few Burberry eyeshadows, and the texture of this blush looks just as creamy and silky as those, and as blendable as they are. I just want to run my finger across it!
Benefit Dandelion Dew blush is a liquid blush in a gorgeous baby-pink shade. I love a liquid blush, because I find that they blend effortlessly and look natural on skin. The packaging looks amazing, and the blush looks beautiful.
I have heard amazing things about Huda Beauty, and the lipsticks and lipliners looks so freakin´uh-mazing! I like the colours and I have heard that the lipliners are super creamy, and I am so into that. Would love, love to get my hands on them in every colour.
Yet another product from Tart, and again in the Rainforest of the sea range. These are the Colour Splash lipsticks, and they are long-wearing and moisture-rich, and they come in a lot of different shades. The colours look amazing, and from what I can tell there isn’t a shade I dont like. I love the packaging and the colour options, and I think there is a lipstick for any look in the range.
Benefit They´re Real Double The Lip Lipstick & Liner in one looks so cool and different! I haven’t played around with the whole ombre-lip thing, but these look so cool that I would love to give it a go.
Burberry Full Kisses lipsticks looks amazing. I like that they come in a bullet/pencil, and that there are a lot of different shades in the range. Burberry packaging always looks amazing. I am drooling over this product.
Elizabeth & James came out with Nirvana Black and Nirvana White a few years ago, and I have been wanting them ever since. The packaging looks amazing, and they smell SO good! Nirvana Bourbon is a (I think so at least) newer addition to the range. It has notes of Vanilla Bourbon. Oakwood. Tuberose. Scents that are very much up my street.
Nirvana Black
Nirvana Bourbon
Nirvana White
That is it, at least for this post. It is a little different from my past posts, but I hope you like it.
What are some of the beauty products you have on your list?
Xoxo

I have a meeting today and I want to look nice for it, and I also wanted to share the look with you. A lot of the products I have used today you can find on feelunique.com
As always I started off with a freshly cleansed and moisturised face. I then start applying foundation, and my choice for today is Bourjois healthy mix serum foundation. First I apply it evenly to my face and a little bit on my neck, then I even it out and blend it with a damp BeautyBlender. Next, I apply concealer to my under eye area, and to the red spots I have on my cheek, and I blend it in with the BeautyBlender.
The next step is bronzer. I am using Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and Glow bronzer, and I apply it with a Morphe M527 brush. I like that it is big and fluffy because I find that it doesn’t grab a lot of product and it blends nicely.
Then it is time for eyes. I am using my Lorac pro palette. I start with 1) cream and I apply that all over my lid to even out the skin tone and to create a base for the other shadows. I then apply 2) Mauve to the outer corner of my eye with a MAC 217 brush. I work that into my crease and upwards. This will give a soft gradient effect when I go in with the darker 3) Pewter shade. I, again, use MAC 217 brush and I go over the crease and outer corner of the eye, taking the color down and under my bottom lashes a little bit.
With a denser RealTechniques brush I grab a little bit of 4) Lt.Bronze and press it onto the middle of my lid. This creates depth and attracts light to the eyes making them pop. I dont want a gel liner or a kohl liner for this look, so I grab my angled eyeshadow brush and the shade 5) Deep Purple and line my top lashes with this. I try to line and blend so the line wont end up being harsh and stand out, but to create more of a soft line (if that makes sense). That is it, and the eyes are done.
For the last step, highlight. I chose Pixi x Aspyn Ovard Glowy Powder in Rome Rose. I apply it to my cheekbones with a Smashbox fan brush. I like how this glowy powder gives a little bit of color to my cheeks and gives such a beautiful, soft highlight.
That is the finished look. I threw on some lipgloss before heading out, but this is what I looked like.
I hope you like these posts, and if you do, feel free to comment and share my blog with everyone you know.
Xoxo

Beauty is everywhere
A rambling post about being present and beauty. Walking and exploring is one of my favourite things to do. Walking along Akerselva River here in Oslo, looking at the birds, buildings, people, art and graffiti and just leting my mind wander. There are so many places to see and explore, so much beauty everywhere and in everything. I love getting lost. Even though I dont get lost, I have a wonderful…

I haven’t done a night time skincare routine in a while, so I thought it would be fun to do one. This is my current routine, and it is quick and easy.
Today I started off with a full face of makeup, and yes this is the makeup from my previous post.
I start off with Pixi + Caroline Hirons new Double cleanse. The first step is the solid cleansing oil. I grab about a pea-sized amount and warm it up in my hands before I apply it to my face. The oil breaks up everything and makes it easy to wipe it off with a damp muslin cloth. Before I wipe it off I apply a little bit of water just to get the oil to emulsify so that it is easy to use the muslin cloth.
I always feel so cute at this point. Lipstick, mascara, eyeshadow, foundation and concealer has been broken down, and is everywhere.
I then get a muslin cloth damp and start wiping away everything.
Then it is on to step 2; cleansing cream. Where the oil was solid, the cream is…well a cream. I work it into my skin and then wash it off, again using a muslin cloth.
Face is fresh and clean, but my skin still feels hydrated and not at all dry or tight.
Next step is Pixi Glow Tonic. I apply it to a cotton square and wipe all over my face.
While the glow tonic dries down I get my night cream and serum ready. I mix about three drops of Kiehl´s midnight recovery concentrate into Origins High-potency night-a-mins cream and work that onto my face and neck. I forgot to take a picture of it, but I usually put on some lip balm before I go to bed. My lip balm of choice is Nuxe Reve de Miel, because it hydrates my lips like nothing else.
And that is it. So very easy, and not to mention fast. It is so very important to cleanse, wash and hydrate your skin at the end of the day to take away all the dirt and grime of the day. It is a nice way to end a day, to treat yourself and take care of yourself.
Night time skincare routine I haven't done a night time skincare routine in a while, so I thought it would be fun to do one.
