yeah you guys might be in love but do you conversate through poems

it’s been a while since i wrote these so excuse my handwriting😅

I don't want to be pretty like that actress or that girl i want to be pretty like me, pretty like the full moon, pretty like the romance between two cats in the lonely afternoon, pretty like the balcony veiw at the midnight, pretty like that comfy and cozy blankets in the winter, pretty like that 1st sip of tea while watching rain from the window, pretty like that last line of your poetry, pretty like that long tight hug, pretty like just myself.

मुझे जलन है,

तुम्हारे कानों में लटकें झुमकों से

जो अक्सर तुम्हारे बालों में उलझें रहते है।

और उस गहरे काजल से 

जो हमेशा तुम्हारी पलकों तले दबा रहता है।

उन चूड़ियों और अँगूठियों से 

जो हर पल तुम्हारी उँगलियों और हाथों से लिपटें रहती है।

तुम्हारी जूतियाँ, जो हर कदम तुम्हारे साथ चलती है।

तुम्हारी कंठी, जो दिन रात तुम्हारे सीने से लगी रहती है।

तुम्हारी बिंदी, जो हमेशा तुम्हारा माथा चूमती रहती है।

मुझे जलन है क्योंकि ये मुझसे ज़्यादा क़रीब है तुम्हारे।

मुझे तमन्ना है,

सारी उम्र तुम्हारे ज़ुल्फ़ों के सायों में बितानी की,

तुम्हारी आँखों में दबे तमाम ख़्वाबों का हिस्सा बनाने की, 

तुम्हारी उँगलियों को मेरी उँगलियों में उलझाये रखने की,

हर कदम तुमसे लिपट कर साथ चलते रहने की,

तुम्हारी कंठी की तरह तुम्हारे सीने से लगे रहने की,

तुम्हारी बिंदी की तरह तुम्हारा माथा चूमते रहने की

मुझे तमन्ना है तुम्हारे सबसे क़रीब होने की ।

healing is returning to yourself and being proud of how far you have come

If you look back only at your mistakes, you'd think you were an idiot. If you look back only at your wiser choices, you'd think you were infallible. But if you look back on everything you realize you're a human being who has been through a lot, grown a lot, is always still learning, and improving as time goes by.

Or the dimples on your cheeks,

You're all the books you read.

You're the places you've been to,

And the one that you call home,

You're the things that you believe in,

You're made of so much beauty,

But it seems that you forgot,

When you decided that you were defined

By all the things, you're not.
