Not only is having intergenerational friendships literally not creepy, imho it's actually essential. You NEED friends who are older to do things like help you when there's a problem with your taxes, and give you job advice, and relationship advice, and especially if you are part of a marginalized group, and especially if you're part of a marginalized group and don't have contact with a ton of other members of it, you need older friends to show you that there IS a future for you, for people like you, and what it looks like, and the way it doesn't even have to involve turning into your parents

If you have a friend that wants to vent to you but doesn't want solutions but you are a solutions-oriented person, may I suggest Silly Solutions (TM)? For instance, whenever my friend complains about the people at her job being dumb, I remind her that if only one of us had studied engineering, we could create a giant hippo robot with laser eyes to destroy them. It fulfills my need to offer a solution, doesn't violate her boundary of not wanting to problem solve, AND it cheers us both up!

I wanted to post about this because I know many of my mutuals are avid crafters and I don't know how much attention this endeavour is getting outside of end-of-life spaces-

The Loose Ends Project matches crafters with a project that is unfinished because of death or disability. They offer help with a spectrum of textile mediums in over 80 countries. One project I find particularly lovely: “My mom was making this octopus for me. She was 67 years old when she passed away from COPD. She was hospitalized for pulmonary rehab several times and would always take it to work on while she was there and loved to talk about it with people."

Für ein Projekt an der Uni haben wir eine Umfrage erstellt. Wär super, wenn ihr euch ein paar Minuten Zeit nehmen könntet, die auszufüllen.

Es geht um die Genus-Zuweisung (grammatisches Geschlecht) von Anglizismen in deutschen Sätzen, also so etwas wie der, die oder das Link. Im besonderen betrachten wir sehr "neue" Anglizismen, zu denen sich eventuell noch gar kein festes Genus etabliert hat.

Bitte auch rebloggen, damit es viele erreicht :) Wir schauen uns vor allem deutsche Muttersprachler verschiedener Altersgruppen an. Wenn ihr also noch ältere oder jüngere Verwandtschaft habt, die sich auch ein paar Minuten nehmen würden, schickt den Link gerne weiter!
