Review, enrichment, pg. 48, 04/17/2018
The Huawei P20 Pro is one of a growing number of mega-phones. We’re not talking about the speakers that protesters chant into, but very expensive phones that incorporate new tech, for those willing to pay big for it.
Top rivals in this class include the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus and iPhone X. Huawei may be the least powerful brand of the three, but the cost is lower too.
For the Huawei P20 Pro’s price you could only get a 64GB iPhone 8 Plus, not an iPhone X. There are some quirks to the Huawei design and software to get used to in return.
However, the remarkable work done on the camera makes this the most versatile phone photo-shooter out there, regardless of price.
If you’re interested in the Huawei P20 Pro, there’s a good chance it’s because of the camera array. There are three cameras on the back, one 40MP main sensor, a 20MP black and white one and a 3x zoom 8MP camera.
You can shoot at 3x without digital zoom, and even get good results at 5x. The real star here is low light performance, though. Standard night shooting just about matches the best, but a dedicated night mode lets you take low light shots with dynamic range to rival an APS-C DSLR.
The Huawei P20 Pro also has a very high-resolution 24MP front camera for detailed selfies and reliable face unlocking.
Other parts of the phone are a little more conventional. We get the Kirin 970 CPU used in the Huawei Mate 10, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Like other recent higher-end Huawei phones, the P20 Pro makes quite an impact with its highly reflective glass finish. And it has a much larger battery than most, 4,000mAh, without any obvious added bulk to the shell.
Huawei has clearly tried very hard with this phone. The result is a mobile more interesting than the Samsung Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus, particularly if you’ll make full use of the camera’s high-end features.
‘Shiny’ is the word that sums up the Huawei P20 Pro's design best. Yes, it’s big. Yes, it has a notch. But sheer reflective spangliness makes this phone stand out.
It’s two big plates of rounded-off Gorilla Glass with a filling of metal finishing off its sides. This metal is aluminium, but it has a polished rather than anodized finish, and looks more like steel.
For the most part you’ll probably see the black and blue versions of the Huawei P20 Pro sold in the UK, but there's also the more eye-catching gradient version. Purple at the top turns smoothly to a greenish-turquoise at the bottom, the sort of finish you see more often on a supercar than a phone.
This will be a bit of an audience-divider. If you find it a bit much, the other finishes are lower key. All are highly reflective, though. The Huawei P20 Pro is also a little prone to fingerprint smudges and the slightly raised camera housing picks up dust fairly quickly.
Recommendation:
I would like to recommend this Huawei P20 Pro because it matches my preferences about smartphones. It has triple rear camera which will help (if buy it) my passion about taking pictures like professional.

Free writing, exercise application, pg. 40-41, 04/14/18
Chosen general subject:
The reasons why it is more fun in the Philippines (foreign tourists, local tourists, tourism officials)
Audience:
Everyone
Purpose:
To inform everyone what Philippines really have.
Tone:
Enthusiastic, informative, playful, and persuasive tone.
Point of View:
It is not just about the places, fiestas, culture and more, but the people who live in the Philippines. Filipinos are the reason why it is more fun in the Philippines. Their big smiles, kindhearted, warm welcome, makes the Philippines, Philippines.
Second pre-writing strategy (free writing):
It is really worth touring around in the Philippines because of beautiful places, sceneries, and happenings that really proves the slogan that go viral “It’s more fun in the Philippines.” Beautiful and attractive places like Boracay, Palawan, Bohol, that all of us can really enjoy and relax with the scenery.
I remember someone asked me what country I would like to visit and replied “Before visiting that country, I will tour our country’s beautiful places first, then after, that’ll be the time that I will go and visit that country. And also, before having a tour around our country, I should work and make some money. Dude, I don’t have that enough of money now lol.”
Filipinos are known as joyful, energetic and warm. The attitude of Filipinos being friendly, hardworking, kindhearted are making them more unique. Philippines without us (Filipinos) won’t make those beautiful places, sceneries, and happenings stand itself as beautiful.

STARTER (03.17.18)
“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2”
Strengths:
- Deathly Hallows part 2 struck all the right notes of action, adventure, friendship, courage and love.
- The danger is seething as both sides battle between extravagant set pieces and eye-catching special effects.
- It's a bittersweet end as the final adaptation of the beloved books hits the big screen. Expect tears, both from nostalgia and some truly amazing storytelling.
- Joy, grief, shock; the emotions pour thick and fast for the whole event and leave you an exhausted whimpering wreck.
- As to the three principals, they've grown up with the Potter saga and have done so reasonably gracefully.
Weaknesses:
- It certainly went out making its presence felt, but in my opinion, though there were explosions aplenty, a few deaths, and everyone inevitably ended up with who they should, I felt it ended with more of a fizz than a bang.
- Lopsided and rushed.
- I must confess to being completely unmoved by the Harry Potter phenomenon. The books strike me as derivative and bland, and the film versions are, if anything, even worse.
- As far as spectacle goes, this final chapter of the Harry Potter franchise has plenty of it with showy special effects and a rich and alluring density that once again overshadows the narrative
- Now that the Harry Potter series is over, maybe the truth can be realized: This has been the dullest franchise in the history of movie franchises.

Yes, only if they will watch the first six films of it. Recommending them to start with the first movie: “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.” Cause if they don’t, they would probably get being spoiled. However, interfering with the meaning of the question, yes, Harry Potter film series is a great collection of movies. It is like going to the magical world of Harry Potter that there is so much more to analyze, take in, and explore. It is a great and fabulous movie, enjoyable epilogue, great effects, and excellent acting. You can really see the emotions of the characters in film. I bet, it is really worth watching.

COMPARISON AND CONTRAST (02.25.18)
Divergent is a 2014 American dystopian science fiction action film directed by Neil Burger, based on the novel of the same name by Veronica Roth. The movie is about a society where people are divided into factions based on their beliefs and human virtues. Five factions are: Abnegation (selfless), Amity (the peaceful), Candor (the honest), Dauntless (the brave) and Erudite (the intelligent). The remaining population are the Factionless. (Wikipedia)
On the other side, The Maze Runner is a 2014 American dystopian science fiction action thriller film directed by Wes Ball, I his directorial debut, based on James Dashner’s 2009 novel of the same name. the story follows sisteen-year-old Thomas, who awakens in a rusty elevator with no memory of who he is, only to learn he’s been delivered to the middle of an intricate maze, along with a large number of other boys, who have been trying to find their way out of the ever-changing labyrinth – all while establishing a functioning society in what they call the Glade. (Wikipedia)
The two films are both have divided groups. Divergent has divided into their own factions (Abnegation, Amity, Candor, Dauntless and Erudite), The Maze Runner has divided into their own groups based on the jobs that they have been assigned to.
The Maze Runner film has Doctor Paige who put them into the maze. She thinks that what she is doing is right. Also with the Divergent film, Jeanine thinks that dividing everyone is right.
Both films are based on their own novel.
As we see, both Divergent and The Maze Runner are dystopian science fiction action film but, The Maze Runner has thriller genre added. They are closely similar but there are differences, Divergent has no thriller genre.
In addition to contrary, from the film The Maze Runner, Thomas has no idea why must he go through. He had no idea if there’s a world out there waiting for him, he doesn’t know if that will be the end or not. While on the film Divergent, Tris is on the process of training which she is learning from everything and every mentor like Tobias also known as Four.

CLASSIFICATION (02.24.18)
Digital SLR cameras are among the best of the best: they have the largest sensors, the most megapixels, and the highest quality selection of lenses. Below we break down the leading DSLRs on the market in 2018 using three categories: full frame (professional), enthusiast (semi-pro), and entry level. Full-frame DSLRs offer the best image quality but also are the bulkiest and most expensive. Enthusiast and entry-level DSLRs (called DX for Nikon and APS-C for Canon) have smaller image sensors but still can create outstanding images and cost considerably less. No matter your price range, there are great options and overall quality and available features continue to improve each year. For more background information, see our DSLR comparison table and buying advice below the picks.
1. Nikon D850 ($3,297)
For a few years, Canon led the pro DSLR innovation front while Nikon laid in wait. Well, it’s clear that the wait was worth it. The new D850, released earlier this fall, is an absolute powerhouse DSLR and one of the top cameras on the market of any type. Compared to the Canon 5D Mark IV below, the D850 wins out in most categories that matter: it has 45.7 megapixels of resolution vs. 30.4 on the 5D Mark IV, superior autofocus, faster buffering speeds, a higher resolution LCD screen, and significantly longer battery life. The 5D Mark IV weighs a little less and has built-in GPS, but given that both cameras are similar in price (the 5D Mark IV is about $100 less at the time of publication), we favor the D850 in a big way.
2. Canon EOS 5D Mark IV ($3,199)
Canon’s 5D Mark IV was at the top of this list for much of last year, until the release of the Nikon D850 that is. When you put the two head to head, it’s flat out hard to argue that the Canon is better. It has lower resolution, inferior autofocus (although it does have dual pixel), and doesn’t offer much in the way of additional features or functionality. Having said that, the 5D Mark IV is a quality camera and all that most Canon professionals and enthusiasts will need. If you already own a bunch of L series glass, sticking with Canon is a fine choice. And as we’ve come to expect, this is an arms race and Canon likely will respond in kind.
3. Canon EOS 6D Mark II ($1,699)
Here’s a fun one: if Canon’s 5D series above is too rich for your blood, the 6D series offers a reasonable entry point into the full-frame camera market. Released in 2017, the 6D Mark II offers notable improvements over its predecessor while still staying well below the $2,000 price threshold. Compared to the older model, you get a bump in resolution to 26.2 megapixels, a more advanced autofocus system, faster shooting, and touchscreen functionality on the rear LCD. All are solid improvements and the 6D Mark II is a really nice value, particularly for still photography (the 5D series is much better for video).
4. Nikon D750 ($1,497)
Nikon didn’t exactly get off to a strong start with the sensor issues of the old D610 and D600, but they got it right with the D750. In many ways, the D750 mirrors the image quality and functionality of the D810 only with fewer megapixels. You get the same EXPEED 4 image processor, image sensor dimensions, and 1080p video speeds. The D750 has an optical low pass filter (the D810 does not), but it also boasts a faster frame rate at 6 fps. Of course, the resolution is lower at 24.3 megapixels, but this is more than enough for many photographers and uses.
5. Canon EOS 5DS R ($3,699)
Our third favorite DSLR from Canon is the specialized 5DS R. This extremely impressive camera is built for the most discerning of photographers—it has serious landscape photographers salivating. Most notably, you get a massive 50.6 megapixels of resolution, which surpasses the high-end Canon 5D Mark IV by 20.2 megapixels and tops the Nikon D850 by 4.9 megapixels. For those who prioritize image quality above all else, this is the premier DSLR on the market.
Buying an expensive item will make us happier because that is what we want but, make sure you pick the durable and what you like the most. You should choose right promotional products since these are expensive. It is easier if you ask some questions from professionals or some of your friends; it will help you make the right choice.

CAUSE AND EFFECT (02.24.18)
Typhoon Yolanda is unnaturally powerful causing unimaginable damage and destruction to lands, properties and lives. It definitely portrayed the ugliest reality of a warmed world we live in today. The global warming has induced sea level rise which contributed to the 20 feet storm surge that definitely caught the victims off guard.
Typhoon Yolanda was one of the strongest tropical cyclones ever recorded in the Philippines. Due to its winds of 315 km/h 195 (mph) and gusts up to 380 km/h (235 mph), the storm displayed some characteristics of an annular tropical cyclone. Many areas across the Philippines were destroyed. Some of the causes were: lack of tress, mountains of garbage, and the Government lacking in preparation. Trees are very helpful when it comes to this type of problem, they help absorb the water to lessen floods. The garbage blocks the flowing water right in drainages.
As a consequence, many areas of the Philippines were flooded, killing at least 6,300 people.

DEFINITION PARAGRAPH (02.17.18)
Family is a group consisting of parents and children living together in a household.
For me the word ‘family’ is not just a family with a mother, father and their child/children, but a family as a relationship. For me, family is full of love, and that love composes everything; care, trust, and more. But then nowadays, we treat our family just below to our friends. And sometimes we love our friends more than our family. That’s so wrong.
As a student, it is great to see a supportive family that waves you every day when you’re about to go to school. It is great to see that there’s a family that loves you very much.
“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.”

DESCRIPTIVE PARAGRAPH (02.17.18)
Tumblr media
Golden Castle Resort is one of the great places for having fun. One of my best memory I had with my relatives happened there in summer. I can still remember the dry and hot atmosphere and cold wind hitting my pale skin. I can also hear the soft wind that tickles my bare face. We were just about to enter the resort and yet I can see the luxurious castle that is freshly coated with white and gold paint. I feel like I became a princess after seeing that one. My sister and I quickly bring out our phones to take some pictures. This place was so big like the hacienda of our ex-vice mayor’s. I am three meters far away and yet I can smell the deliciousness on the food we brought. Many dishes were placed on the made-of-wood table painted with light orange. This reminds me of the foods in our previous celebrations. Refreshing big swimming pools with blue water was tempting me to swim immediately. There was a live band that bring us more excitement. We had so much fun that day that it looked like our fiesta in town.

NARRATIVE PARAGRAPH (02.17.18)
I remember when Father Paroni came to our parish. A week before he came to our parish, they announced that he will be the assistant parish priest in our church. Everyone felt nervous because he is known as a terror and strict priest. After knowing all of that, we practiced and practiced and practiced before his arrival. But before he arrived in our church, there are some gossips I heard that day. They said he has illness, a stage four cancer. After hearing that, my nervous were slowly decreasing. Then finally he arrived. We welcomed him warmly. Still, we were so nervous when the day he arrived.
But what I remember the most is when he passed away because of his cancer.

ENRICHMENT 6 (02.10.18)
Early life violence tied to mental disorders-study
July 3 (Reuters) - People who remember being pushed, slapped and hit as children are more likely to be diagnosed with depression, anxiety and personality disorders later in life, according to an international study covering thousands of people.
Canadian researchers whose results were published in the journal Pediatrics estimated that between two and seven percent of those mental disorders might be due to punishments inflicted in childhood, not including more severe forms of abuse.
"Peope believe that as long as you don't cross that line into child maltreatment, and the physical punishment is controlled and doesn't cross the line into abuse, it won't have any negative long-term consequences for the child," said study leader Tracie Afifi at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg.
"The way we see it is along a continuum of having no violence to severe violence," Afifi said.
Up to half of all children may be spanked as punishment, but Afifi and her team wanted to look at harsher punishments, such as shoving and hitting.
The study team used data collected by United States Census interviewers in 2004 and 2005 in surveys of close to 35,000 adults across the country.
The interviewers asked participants about how often they were physically punished as kids, other problems their families had - such as parents who had drug problems or went to jail - and about their symptoms of mental disorders, current or past.
Afifi and her colleagues didn't include anyone who reported being physically, sexually or emotionally abused by family members in order to focus on the effect of punishment that didn't go so far as to constitute maltreatment.
They found about six percent of interview subjects had been punished beyond spanking "sometimes," "fairly often" or "very often" - and those people with a history of harsh physical punishment were more likely to have a range of mood and personality disorders or to abuse drugs and alcohol.
For example, 20 percent of people who remembered being physically punished had been depressed and 43 percent had abused alcohol at some point. That compared to 16 percent of people who weren't hit or slapped who had been depressed and 30 percent who drank too much.
Those links held up after the researchers took into account family problems, including which participants' parents had been treated for mental illness themselves - and interviewees' race, income and education level.
Afifi and her team wrote that physical punishment may lead to chronic stress in children, which could then increase their chance of developing depression or anxiety later on.
Michele Knox, a psychiatrist who studies family and youth violence at the University of Toledo College of Medicine, agreed that's a likely explanation.
"Physical punishment is a chronic and sometimes repeated stressor for young people, and we know that chronic and repeated stressors have a negative impact on the brain," said Knox, who wasn't part of the study.
But the findings can't prove the punishments themselves caused the children to develop mood and personality disorders, with Knox pointing out that interviewees may not have known if their parents were treated for mental illness. Depression and anxiety are known to be at least partly genetic.

3. Animation is a motion where you illustrate several pictures to make it into a move film, or a comic magazine.

1. Terminating or punishing someone who has mistaken in work is not right. A person can learn through his/her mistakes by making it as a motivation and not making it happen again. There are persons who are almost perfect but there is no perfect here in this world, only God does. So why people often disapprove friends, teachers or even parents who works for their families?
2. People usually buy something that will cause them excited, happy and interested especially with a new game that was produced. Even though a game software have a lot of limited market, it is still exciting and appealing with customers.
3. The ability to identify objectives is the implementation of the major goals and initiatives also known as strategic management. It used to indicate objectives, achieve the goal, and reach the proposal for some events in business. 4. The old generation is very different compared to our new generation. They had beeper and we have mobile phones. They had different transportation vehicles, we have cars. Their technology was limited unlike now. Flyers, posters, and street signs are new ways of advertising. Their televisions’ saturation were black and white unlike to our televisions that have bright colors and so was curved flat screen tv.
