My wellness segment on today’s episode of The Friend Zone Podcast covered the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator #MBTI. Have any of you taken it?
It’s a really awesome personality test, often used by employers to get an assessment of your strengths and weaknesses, that is also really valuable as a tool for self-discovery. It breaks down your work place habits, possible career paths (that you will actually thrive in), your parenting skills, romantic cravings and needs within your friendships.
This personality indicator was created in the 40s by a young woman named Isabel Briggs. She was fascinated with analytical psychology, created by Carl Jung, and the study of values, conscious & unconscious human emotions and traits. Through 60+ years of test groups, she came to the conclusion that there are 16 personality types. And by answering a series of questions, that will take approximately 15 minutes, you’ll gain a better understanding of who you are and how you think.
A personality test will never tell you exactly who you are, obviously, but if you feel you need some clarity, guidance and a better understanding of your inner workings, I think this test is a super cool place to start. I thought it would be a valuable discussion to have with yourself, with your family, lovers and friends. So you can all gain a better understanding of each other, more compassion and work towards a life of harmony. I hope you find it as helpful as I have in my life heart emoticon

I’m an INFJ which is the “advocate” type within the community. The ones who have made it their life purpose to help others find their purpose. Well known INFJs include: MLK, Nelson Mandela and Mother Teresa. What an inspiring tribe to look up to!
What 4-letter code did you get? And how eerily accurate is it?

I wish I can speak to you Ask you about your day Let you know how much work I accomplished today Share your thoughts See your face Feeling the warmth of your voice As you talk about the future I can't help but .. Feel like I will be there But for now, the only place I'll be are in your memories

A year ago today, I moved to Memphis, and this is the reason why! I get to inspire, motivate, and see kids of all ages lead a healthier life. I am so happy and grateful for the opportunities I have here. #happyanniversay #thanks901 (at John P. Freeman Optional School)

I L O V E my body.
The Accepting and believing in these words is the hardest thing I’ve had to overcome as a young woman. A little girl, I hated my body. As a preteen, I hated my body. As a teenager, I hated my body. With every stage that I’ve been through, I was chipping away from my spirit, from my soul, from my being because my physical body wasn’t what I wanted it to be. Then, I woke up. I realized this is the vessel that the universe has granted me with to enjoy my human experience. I realized that all my self judgments and hated were not coming from my true self but what society has led me to believe. I realized that my thoughts are affecting my physical health and enough is enough. I realized that loving myself completely is freedom. Therefore, I accept the following: I am muscular and thick at the same damn time. I have thighs that do not know (or accept) gaps. I have arms that jiggle. I have a booty that doesn’t like anything that has less than 2% spandex. I am athletic. I am strong. I am beautiful. I am not a body. I am a soul having a human experience. I am a multifaceted spiritual woman. I am ME.
Namaste. ✨
