Functional Doorbell for The Sims 2

A few days ago I got the idea to make these two AroundTheSims Doorbells as functional ones. Sims can interact with them with a "ring bell" option. Children will gain a little bit of fun while doing it (you know, children likes pranks). However there will be no secondary effect, it is just for fun and decorative purpose :D Low Poly, you will find them in small electronics.

Single Doorbell has two subset so if you want you can recolor them and add your sims name on the target.

Sims 4 Uberhood! Round 1: Lothario

Round 1: Lothario  Don is Pleasantview’s casanova with many women on the go, despite him being engaged to the famous heiress to the Goth fortune, Casandra. Is his love for her genuine or is it just another one of his conquests with more benefits attached? Will he ever be able to sort out his feelings for Nina, and will a stupid mistake he carelessly made be the end of his plans to secure a place in the goth family? 

“Okay, just open your mouth for me, I just need to check the back of your throat to make sure nothing is swollen” Don knew there was some sort of sexual joke he could have made but, he chose to remain professional despite being very attracted to Mrs. Cynthia Kim. He knew that there were a few more patients he’d have to look after before he could get home and get ready for the night he had planned with Kaylyn, he just had to get to 6pm for his shift to end. 

When Kaylynn arrived at his house, Don knew that it wouldn't take much to get her upstairs into his bed or hot tub or both, if he was lucky. He had been taking advantage of his freedom a lot more lately due to the fact that he knew he’d have to be a lot more careful after he’d have to play the role of a doting husband, so he didn’t waste much time before buttering up Kaylynn. Don just hoped she wouldn’t bring up “the talk” again to kill the vibe. 

“Don, you’re one of the most important people in my life, I hope you know that” Kaylynn professed to Don as they were getting cozy in the hot tub. Don never knew how to respond to Kaylynn’s deep thoughts about them, he barely knew how to respond to her questions about what they were let alone tell her how he feels or didn’t feel about her.. 

“Yeah, you’re important to me too, baby girl.” “But, how come-” “Lets just focus on the moment, shall we?” 

And with that, he shut her up for the time being, finally getting what he had been thinking about all day.  

It wasn’t long though before Kaylynn persisted on the topic of “them”... “Don, this has been going on since we were seniors in college, you know how I feel about you, and you still insist on keeping it a secret, you’re starting to remind me of another man I shall not mention…” “First of all Kaylynn, you knew from the start what this was. You know that my priorities are elsewhere and that I’m an engaged man.” 

“Yeah… you never fail to mention that ... .Well, I don’t know how often you’ll see me from now on. This has been nice, but I deserve to be treated like a priority.” 

Don paused for a second, thinking about this… he knew his feelings for Kaylynn were real, but he also knew his feelings for Nina were very real… let alone how he felt about Cas. but, the idea of losing Kaylynn tugged at his heart.. This had been someone who he felt knew him better than anyone, even though he’d been with Nina since they were teenagers.. She understood their situation. Despite Kaylynn knowing their situation and saying she understood, he knew that she always hoped that it would be more, and he took advantage of it even if he never wanted to admit that to himself, or her of course.  “Listen Kaylynn, you know I care about you and what we have is real, but I can’t just break off my engagement to Cas. You can’t expect that of me, I was clear from the start what this was. If you need to walk away and this be our last time, I understand. I will miss you and that fine ass of yours though." "Whatever Don....so be it" With that said, Kaylynn turned around and went to bed, leaving Don sitting on the bed not sure of how he was going to handle losing the one girl he always had in his back pocket.

Don tried to paint this in a positive light, one less relationship he’d have to juggle, one less secret he’d have to worry about Casandra finding out about. Sure he’d miss Kaylynn, but didn’t she already have that Pleasant guy she’d been fooling around with? He knew he should probably get to bed, Cas was going to be coming over to discuss some wedding things in the morning and he knew that he’d have to be on full attention to avoid her nagging him.

Kitchen of Tomorrow Set for The Sims 2

These are 4to2 conversions from SurelySims, low poly. Some of the items were already been converted but I noticed too late, sorry! You can find them here by Kestrelteens and Pforestsims.

This set contains 30 objects, I added a collection file so they can be found easily. The round island (not shown in the picture) can be used with bar stools, it's cloned from this table by MorePopcorn so I also added the required mod for it in the archive.

4T2 Default Replacement Justa Door Set

This is a set of default replacement doors for The Sims 2. They're not exactly a 1:1 conversion from TS4 - I've mixed and matched parts from a few doors to create a set I'm happy with.

Justa Door

This door is the repository for all the others - a replacement of the value door with a mashup of TS4's base game Plain Wooden Door with the handle from the Chroma Door from Get to Work.

The default replacement comes with 4 textures: a plain black or white door with steel or brass hardware. I didn't make the door and hardware into separate subsets because I wanted the linked doors with signs to have access to all wood and hardware options.

Justa Arch

Because the door has options for the same wood with different coloured hardware, the arch has ended up with duplicates, but that's a trade off I was willing to make.

Loo Doors

The push plate for this door is from the Single Push Retail Door from Get to Work. The sign is a separate subset so you can recolour it if you want, but I just made the one default black and white sign.

You'll need the CEP (included) to make the sign recolourable. Put the CEP in your program files, under zCEP-EXTRA. For Ultimate Collection users, this is: Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Double Deluxe\Base\TSData\Res\Catalog\zCEP-EXTRA

Justa Facilities Door

I never use the festive doors. I just don't have the will to sell and re-buy doors after having them for just one season. So I replaced them with facilities doors with useful signs for community lots. The door that used to have a bow now has a handle, while the one that used to have a wreath has a push plate.

Wood Recolours

There is a separate package which includes recolours in 8 wood tones: black, grey, white, ash, birch, oak, teak and walnut. They all have options for brass or steel hardware.

The recolours will not work without the default replacement!

I have also created a recolour template with greyscale plain and wooden door textures, and steel and brass hardware layers. Enjoy!

*Can I just...

I’ve been seeing some conflicting opinions/policies about sharing content in lot downloads and while I appreciate & try to respect creators amazing content (hello look at my game) However, not everyone is into or has the time to go trailing through cc, making folders, organizing, downloading 10000 recolors of the same thing (hello again) etc.

There was a time I was lucky to have a few hours a week to play the sims 2 and a lot of the time the only way for me to enjoy all the amazing cc people are making is through downloading lots that people have made with said cc in them. I try to link when I can and I’m not claiming the custom content as my own but this is a 20 year old game and honestly the whole reason of making cc is for people to enjoy it.

Of course we appreciate and are very thankful for all the hours and work creators put in, but again the end goal is to enjoy and share our games together, some make cc, some make lots, some post pictures, some tell stories and it all makes up this wonderful community. I love this community & I love seeing what everyone is up to! I hope that didn’t come off the wrong way and you understand what I’m getting at. HAPPY SIMMING 🌙🍄
