Edit: Rosie lived and died around the 1890s. She engaged herself with Women Suffrage and was probably a very popular within her social group. She was married to a man, until she had enough of him and killed him. She turned him into stew, or at least tried to before she was caught. She was sentenced to death by hanging. Her last words was probably something about how bad her husband tasted.

an anti once told me that them demanding people stop shipping “illegal ships” because they have trauma around unhealthy relationships is like someone with a peanut allergy asking people to not eat peanuts around them because it causes an allergic reaction.

and I, believe it or not, think that’s an excellent analogy. Just not in the way they do.

there are two lunchrooms. They’re exactly the same, except one is specifically for people who are eating peanuts. The peanut room has several signs around it warning people that this is the room where there are peanuts, so you shouldn’t go in there if you have an allergy to them. Now, the anti, in this equation, is someone with a peanut allergy. They chose to ignore the signs, they walk into the room with the peanuts, and they have an allergic reaction. They then demand that, instead of them going back to the room that doesn’t have peanuts in it so they won’t get hurt, everyone in this room stop eating peanuts altogether. When the people who are just trying to eat their lunch in peace say ‘no, that’s stupid, this is the space specifically for eating peanuts, you have your own,’ the anti decides to stick around harassing people who eat peanuts and causing themself to have more allergic reactions.

Earlier this year when Pride was happening, a huge number of transphobes (conservatives, republicans, hate groups) threatened to commit hate crimes against any store that would sell lgbt merchandise.

now I see people making the same threats against Hot Topic because the shirt of a gay trans man’s comic is being sold there. And these people are lgbt, yet I cannot see the difference between someone wanting to commit hate crimes over a rainbow shirt and people hating a cute, saccharine poly comic

obviously a trans gay man living in a country where being lgbt is illegal and imagining an ideal world and relationships in form of a comic deserves to be told that he and people who support him should be hate crimed /sarcasm
