can i be real i dont think that the guys at magic academy saying that the dark arts are misunderstood are the guys you actually gotta watch out for i think those guys usually end up in holistic magic theory or burn out fast. it's the dudes who rail against necromancy in every class discussion whether anyone brought it up or not that you hear about five years later marching at the head of a great and terrible shambling host

If you smoke, don't leave your butts on the ground. Dispose of them properly. The same applies if you use nicotine pouches, don't spit them out on the ground and leave them there, dispose of them properly.
While littering in general is usually a bad idea because the littered trash can be hazardous to wildlife or even people (and let's face it, just makes a place look uglier) littering nicotine products is especially harmful to wildlife and humans alike. In urban areas tap water often has nicotine in it due to all the littered nicotine products such as cigarette butts and nictotine pouches, due to rain runoff carrying nicotine into water sources used by both humans and wildlife. You're free to take up whatever habits you like so long as they do not infringe on others, but littering your nicotine products taints water supplies which unfairly forces nicotine on others who don't get a say in the matter.

Katarina Claes has brain damage
(and it makes the show/book/manga better)
She hits her head several times, and it causes unconsciousness at least one of those times? Concussion baybee
(and lets remember that more than one concussion before the last one heals? is multiplicative or exponential in terms of damage, especially permanent damage)
Side note: Katarina having brain damage isn't bad? It's really nice that she's loved, lovable, and cared for. Do I have issues with how some of the individuals in the...whatever we're calling it these days?...do that? sure, but the message is the same.
tl;dr: none of these are treated as a big deal, and neither are the ways her friends and family accomodate her! you probably didn't notice any of them!
Katarina can't think and listen at the same time. This is a regular problem for her and. Wow. Yeah. I felt that on a spiritual level. So did the friend of mine with brain damage who was watching it. I can only do one brain task at a time!!!!
Because of that, she also can't think and talk-- we have several moments where she takes way longer than is socially/conversationally appropriate to say something. This is either because she's thinking of something to say, or because she got distracted by an entirely unrelated thought. Even more relatably, when the person she's talking to says something cuz they think she's not listening, they completely interrupt her thinking and make it take longer. I don't think I've seen this anywhere else? Thank you to whomever put this in there T_T
Katarina is impulsive, even in the face of negative consequences she understands and doesn't actually want (eating enough food she's ill, doing/saying things that reflect poorly on her socially, climbing trees in skirts when people other than her people are around, so many y'all)
Katarina is especially verbally impulsive and lacks a filter. This is just impulsivity, but i haven't met a single person with brain damage who doesn't have this problem, although i'm sure they exist (and i love you). she says her feelings just come 'out her mouth' when she's talking with the third prince, and wow, yeah, same!
Katarina's risk assessment skills deserve their own bulletpoint, even though they're technically in the impulsivity category probably, but wow! Yeah, she can't assess risk for herself or others well. We see this a lot, but it's even in the small things. She doesn't know what the risk of her mother catching her in farming clothes is, or what the risk her bladder is going to be too full is, or what the risk something horrible is going to happen to her while she's kidnapped is.
I don't know whether her 'obliviousness' goes here or in the risk assessment bullet point, but she doesn't notice other people's intentions, particularly if they don't line up with her mood/goals at the moment. For example, if someone is particularly attracted to her and she's focused on the desserts table, she'll think they just want to chat, tripped, or are bored.
Focus and concentration issues! I almost forgot them, but she has trouble paying attention to things, particularly things she's not interested in. But she'll often be caught off guard in the middle of a short introduction, stop in the middle of farming with a strange phrase and yell, and have trouble paying attention in class. This is less noticeable because her perspective is our perspective, but! It's there
Poor memory! I...wish I could joke that I had forgotten this one, but it isn't a joke. This comes up more in the second season of the anime, but it comes up twice. First when Geordo kisses her, she forgets, and has to be regularly reminded. And then, again, when Keith kisses her. (hypothesis: those things don't align with her worldview, so they're easier to forget, see point six).
Also: The way the polycule (they're a polycule now y'all) functions as a way to accommodate her (and the other disabilities in the group) is real interesting? I guess we can go by number?
She can't think and listen at the same time - they pay careful attention and notice when she's not listening. This is especially true of Keith and Geordo (i really hope that's his name). Alan is also very likely to have an aside about it
She can't think and talk at the same time - this tends not to be as much of an issue in the group setting? Because someone else is starting the conversation and it becomes a listening problem
Katarina is impulsive even in the face of negative consequences - this is both her family and the polycule involved. Katerina's parents haven't allowed her to go off without Keith since she was 9 or 10, let alone without Anne or one of the other servants. Keith not only keeps an eye out for her concentration and focus issues (shit i forgot those!! i need to add them) and her potential conduct issues, but he keeps an eye out for issues like eating too much at once and making herself physically ill (something she does almost immediately at her first tea party).
Katarina is especially verbally impulsive - Nobody in the crew cares, and/or they think it's endearing. It helps that most of Katarina's verbal impulses are kind or just bizarre. It also helps that the vast majority of the polycule is very high ranking.
She can't assess risk for herself or others - You'll notice she's almost never alone. This is clearly on purpose. Keith and Geordo both insist, and when it's not them, they both check to see who is accompanying her, and, if no one is, ensure it's a relatively safe environment for her to be unaccompanied (like the school fair, and even then, they all expected her to be distracted and late)
She doesn't notice other people's intentions, particularly if they don't line up with her mood/goals at the moment - they are all suspicious of others' intentions if someone's alone with her, and listen carefully to make sure no one's been taking advantage of her. Mary, Geordo, and Keith are all especially good at this. Mary is sitting down with Keith and Katarina, and notices Katarina handfeeding Keith. She gets upset with him, and says 'didn't i ask you not to take advantage of your familial relationship to her?', which implies they'd had an earlier conversation about appropriate behavior. Keith is regularly worried by Katarina's 'obliviousness' with regards to Geordo's advances on her in the first season, and intervenes.
Focus and concentration issues! - They aren't bothered by it (just like with all the rest of them), and then they address each situation as it arises. first, does Katarina need to pay attention? if no, great! if she missed lessons, that's more time maria gets to spend tutoring her! if Keith needs to prompt her to introduce herself, he'll do that! it's not treated as a big deal
(please add things and tell me where im wrong? my brain is soup and thinks i'm sitting sideways at a 45 degree angle when i'm not so. I think that means it's time to go lay down. @impulsivelycontentious)

Corrupt generation before Qing choosing absolute trashfires for their head disciples/heirs with the plan being that they always get killed off or reprimanded with removal of rank and oops once again not all twelve peak lords are ready to ascend guess they have to stay another few decades. whoops.
Only the Qing generation are proving to be an immoveable trashfire that keeps escaping their cunning plans.

anyway i bring that up because i think jason's singular hobby is that he's a line cook. which you would argue isn't a hobby at all and i would agree with you but Jason doesn't know how to have fun outside of the context of work and restaurants take all kinds of nutjobs. he interviews and shit and gets the job because he doesn't care about things like "being paid" a "livable wage" and seemed like he was on the least amount of drugs at the time of the interview. upon showing up the first day he's getting settled on the line and the servers come in to be like hey whats up man welcome and like the 5th server is none other than dick grayson. they look at each other in silent horror for 5 seconds before dick visibly comes to some sort of decision and is like. Hi Man I'm Rich Nice To Meet You. and jason is like. im jason. and then they have to pretend not to know each other from there on out until dick gets fired for exhibiting freak behaviors

"wealth" means different things to different people. for me it means being able to live quietly and comfortably, adopt a pet, donate to charities I care about, be able to take care of myself in my old age, and eventually leave an inheritance to my loved ones, who will then be forced by the stipulations of my will to be locked at midnight in a Mystery Mansion and solve an elaborate series of puzzles while being mysteriously killed off one by one. and i don't think that's so much to ask
