NOOO I just found out it was canceled through your blog 😢 I remember when fox canceled brooklyn nine nine everyone rioted. Then it got picked up by nbc SO fast! Sadly I doubt it will happen for prodigal son bc the fandom isn't as big as B99 but here's to hoping 🤞😣

I WISH I WAS JOKING.  maybe if the riot is big enough we can get it to do the same thing. but who knows tbh. its not a feel good comedy like b99 .  so its unlikely but it  would be nice.

There are other fox shows that have been renewed eventhough this year ratings have gone right down for them cause of covid.

sounds like fishy business if you ask me. if everything suffers then what the hell is the decision making process for one show to renew but the other is cancelled.

Honestly this season shouldn't have counted for ratings, all ratings have dropped this year with pandemic.

I know i haven’t been around here much. i’m honestly not caught up on the show just cause the latter half of last year and into this year just have not been kind to me. and the show is just too stressful tbh for me to watch right now.

i did want to address something since i received a anonymous message about someone in particular reblogging from me that seems to put malcolm in abusive relationships and sexualizes minors. i didn’t want to post the ask because of the url involved but if this was you can you please message me with some proof because i DEFINITELY don’t want anyone reblogging my stuff with that mindset about malcolm. it also seems like they might have stolen from me as well. just because i’m not around doesn’t mean they can just post stuff without my permission.

And telling them personally you want more PSon and even why you do if you have time (the more you write the better, but something is better than nothing at all!) The more people who do this the better chance at them seeing and noticing. It only takes about a minute and I’ve already done it. @ing FoxTV on Twitter will not reach the people who actually make these choices, but do that, too, as long as you also do the feedback form. The goal is to get them to notice their fans want it renewed, to make us unable to be ignored. Honestly, the goal is to annoy them enough they just get pissed and say FINE ALRIGHT HERE, like, that’s how shows get saved lmao, showing we’re dedicated and won’t stand for it being canceled before its time. IF THE FORM ERRORS, it did not go through. If it works you’ll get a “We may not respond personally to everyone, but thank you…” message. Copy your message before submitting to make sure you don’t have to rewrite it for your own sake lol.

The viewership is down an entire million from 3.3 at the S1 finale to 2.3 for both eps 1&2, and it’s likely the competing it with This Is Us (and on 1/19, NCIS). FOX already has 6 new pilots for the fall season, and PSon is their LOWEST RATED SHOW. It’s already being predicted as “most likely to be canceled” by people who do/count up TV Ratings and predict these things.

FOX likely will make their official decision in May (though it’s possible earlier) so the important thing is we start doing this kind of stuff now before it’s too late. That way even if it is canceled still, the show will have a better chance at getting picked up somewhere else knowing how many people like it and fight for it and will watch it.

Please reblog this. Please let people know. If you are or know a Neilson family try to get them to watch live and not delayed (DVR) or Hulu as those count but not seemingly as much. I don’t want this show ending after a cut-short season like it isn’t even worth a proper chance to be better.

It has been done before, even on the FOX channel, but the fanbase is literally entirely on the line for saving it. And I know a lot of people really love this show and the characters, and I have a really good feeling what could happen if everyone gets together to save it.

What do you think of MalcolmxDani. I personally don't like to ship them, I think they are great as friends, I hope they don't put them in a relationship. I feel like too many tv shows force relationships, especially between friends/main characters. I also still need to catch up on season 2, so idk if they ever did anything with their relationship yet.

okay this is a can of worms that i could totally rant about that might upset some people. i do have a malcolm rp account where me and a person that rps dani are like casually working towards a ship. its very slow burn but also her dani is much different than the show ( IN A GOOD WAY ) , 

i personally do not ship them ( show wise ) . they would do great as friends but i also have a very specific way of thinking when it comes to malcolm and relationships. i see him as someone that needs a deep deep connection and that whole thing with eve was very very forced. i don’t hate her or anything but i think they moved it along too fast for malcolm’s character just for the sake of moving along and it was imo bad writing. 

if they would just give him time to connect with someone over a span of time then it could be great. there is a reason why he hasn’t been in a stable relationship for YEARS. he needs someone that can accept all his flaws and his quirks and not treat him like he’s always about on the verge of a mental break ( without ignoring his issues ) . i don’t necessarily think that dani is that person .
