I am Mahmoud Al Sharif, married and have 3 children. My wife gave birth to a newborn baby on August ,12 ,2024.

‎‏We are from the Gaza Strip, which suffers from wars. I lived through 5 of these wars, and I lost my eyes and fingers hand , and my other eye was damaged. These were the previous wars until this 2023 war came and destroyed everything from my home and my workplace.

NO TIME LEFT FOR A PREGNANT WOMAN AND CANCER PATIENT IN GAZA

This is Ashley, my old blog was palentonga. My blog was terminated a few weeks ago, almost certainly due to the rash of falsely reporting Palestinians and their supporters as being scammers. I asked my friend Lauren (me) to post this while I'm off tumblr. I'm making this post on behalf of @lailashaqoura and her family, whose campaigns I had been trying to support before my blog was terminated. Laila's fundraiser is listed as number 152 on the vetted fundraiser list, under the name Bassam Shaqoura. Laila is an eighteen year-old girl who is attempting to survive the ongoing genocide with her siblings and her pregnant mother. Her cousin, Tala, whose blog has been terminated, is also struggling with her siblings and her cancer-stricken mother. Their campaigns have been lagging severely lately, and need all the help they can get to continue. Border crossings are rare, but things still cost money in Gaza, and they need to be able to support themselves + have some money saved up in case they get the opportunity to escape. Conditions in Gaze have been getting worse and worse, and I fear every day for Laila and her mother.

I and several other artists, including @mimibayra , @theflowerpaw, @worthyofmygrace, @soapfriendotake2, and @rebecca-levin-art, are offering commissions in exchange for donations to Laila and Tala's campaigns, examples linked HERE. I've seen engagement in these campaigns and others drop severely these past few months, but even if the Palestinian genocide has grown old to you, fresh blood is being shed every day, and the survivors are entitled to any possible assistance we can give them.

And speaking of Israeli land theft and settler attacks, don't for a second forget that Palestinians are fighting against this violence day and night. There are demonstrations held on a weekly basis every Friday by the residents of villages like Nabi Saleh or Beita, where a US activist was shot in the head by Israeli forces earlier today. Some of these demonstrations have been ongoing for years even, like in the village of Bil'in, a struggle captured so poignantly in the documentary Five Broken Cameras (available with subtitles on youtube and highly recommended). So, as long as Israeli violence continues, resistance against it will persist.

It's with a heavy but hopeful heart that I watch Palestinian families fundraise on here, slowly accumulating the precious little money to go around that they need to survive. However, not everyone is so lucky. A lot of Palestinians that have not had that kind of luck, that did not get early verification, that did not get massive platforms behind them from large bloggers, have approached me in my inbox, asking me kindly to do what I can for them. It kills me that I have so little to give myself, but I've seen this platform collectively raise enough to change someone's life. I've made a list of Palestinian fundraisers that are extremely low on funds, in the hope that drawing attention to people who have not been lucky at all can help turn that luck around. I know most of us can't possibly give enough to get all of these families safe in one go. But please, reblog this list. Pick one or two fundraisers, give what you can, and then keep track of it. I am coming to you with a very urgent and time-sensitive appeal. We face a constant and imminent threat of death, injury and disease, even during the so-called “truce”. My home has been bombed and destroyed beyond repair. My family’s home. We have been under occupation all our lives, and none of us have experienced anything like what is happening now. There is now an opportunity to get the entire family out of Gaza to Egypt via the Rafah crossing. We do not know how long this opportunity will last, which makes it imperative that we raise the necessary funds as soon as possible. The longer it takes, the more vulnerable they will be. I was born in Gaza and live there. I worked in the field of sanitary supplies. With a lot of sadness, pain and sorrow, today on behalf of my grieving family My family consists of my father, Raed, who is 47 years old, my mother, Amani, who is 39 years old, and me along with my five siblings: my sister Rasha, who is 22 years old and married; my sister Rana, who is 21 years old and married; myself, Monir; my brother Mohamed, who is 16 years old; and my little sister Sham, who is 4 years old. Now, my entire family has become displaced after our house was destroyed, fleeing from bombings and death. Every day, we suffer more.

We are living in a school that has been turned into a shelter, housing many displaced people. Our lives have been upended multiple times due to the enemy's relentless bombings and destruction, forcing us to flee from death. My married sisters and their young children are with us in this dire situation, enduring severe shortages of food, water, and medicine, and we have received no assistance.

My mother, She's suffers from severe asthma and has undergone multiple surgeries with no improvement, depends on medication, inhalers, and oxygen for her chronic conditions. The ongoing conflict in Gaza has depleted the supply of these critical medications, causing her condition to worsen. As if that weren’t enough, diseases are spreading among us due to the accumulated garbage, as there are no waste disposal systems and trash is piling up in the streets where we live.

Our situation is heart-wrenching and desperate.

We are engulfed in suffering and despair.
