i can definitely see what i liked about fe3h's story. the gameplay is still rly bad bc the degree of theater of the mind the lack of jraphics for anything demands would be a hell of an ask for a good story. all any character ever does in a cutscene is wave their arms around. and that does make the story pretty hard to take seriously. but yea a lot of the supports between secondary characters are really solid it's just the main story and house leaders which are unsalvageably boring, and the fact that "tell dont show" is mandatory bc characters cant show Anything means that dialogue is literally the only way characters can endear themselves to you. also i get the irony of complaining abt cutscenes requiring theater of the mind as an ot1 fan, but 1) the characters do at least have expressions/the camera not being zoomed in to show only their torsos means the environment can animate so you actually. see a monster. if a monster is attacking. and 2) shut up

it turns out that trying to do fe3h on maddening difficulty after not playing it since 2019 was "not fun" and "a bad idea". playing it on normal isnt any more fun but it sure does pass the time. on a black eagles route to give edelgard a fair shake. and so far i know in the past ive said edelgard is imperialist scum and her revolutionary sentiment is little more than faction squabbling because although she conveniently lives in a world where the only problem with imperialism is that the wrong guys are in charge in the form of an elite cabal that luckily is not a loaded concept to invoke, she still refuses to even consider giving up the imperial throne in order to make her "revolutionary" sentiments of making commoners and nobles equal actually extend to her. and to all of her fans i would like to say, im right. also this games graphics suck shit and the combat is boring and edelgard doesnt get to attack in 90% of battles because every stage having 2334095543 tiles of empty space between us and the enemies means that her forgetting her running shoes means that she only gets to the battle when my ranged and flying units have already finished off all the enemies. bad video game

I used to with with this guy T, but now I'm a zombie. I came with a bunch of other zombies to eat his brains, but he shut himself in his house and later a mall and won't let us in. I don't think we're being unreasonable, I mean no one's gonna eat his eyes!

I tried to explain to him that one day he'll run out of food and guns, but he refuses to see the bigger picture here! All we want to do is eat his brains! I think we can come to a compromise here.
