In the early episodes of Secret Life, Martyn kept playing risky moves, walking into dangerous situations and constantly taking damage. He was was the first yellow and the first red. A gimmick like that with no regen was really damaging combined with his playstyle.

So... why wasn't he the first one out? Or at the very least, not out early in episode 6 like the other reds? How did he make it so far to get to the finale?

Having watched his POV, I can pretty much tell you that the answer is simply: he's really just that good at the red tasks.

One of my favorite things about early 3rd life martyn is the way he just. Doesn’t sleep. Doesn’t set his spawn. Followed by flocks of phantoms everywhere he goes and kills them with the ease of someone who’s been doing this a long time. Lives in the woods without a base or a tether.
