Ugh finished season 2. It's where everything went downhill. I blame Klaus. The moment he rolled in, everything was up in smoke. Damon's character.... Jeremy and Bonnie.... Stefan and Elena... Mainly Stefan. Poor dude is practically the Derek Hale of this show.

"Is that a no?" He murmured over his shoulder, hearing her in tow. Clearly he wasn't getting off without her following. "You know, if you plan on walking me... it requires a leash."

"There’s no use in denying it because you don’t listen to me otherwise," she followed behind him.

"I'd say chupacabra but..." the male gestured to himself and shrugged with his classic smirk. Well short of the drinking goat blood the mythology wasn't far off. Looking down at the hand she held, Damon's expression softened, looking from her back down to their hands before he shook his head. "We've gone centuries on our own, Elena. We don't need protecting and I'd rather make sure you're safe. You don't need to be a vampire to do that." he assured her. Furrowing his brow his eyes landed on her once more, head cocked to the side. "Elena don't. It's fine. If it's about me then.. I don't want to know."

Elena grinned at the show of affection from Damon. “The lochness monster? Is there any fairy tale that isn’t real in Mystic Falls?” Elena laughed lightly. “Well, at least we have two antiques in town. You and Stefan.” Elena took Damon’s hand in her own examining his daylight ring. “I like that everyone tries to protect me Damon, but I can’t do anything to protect any of you. In a way that makes me feel useless. It makes me wonder if I became a vampire, then maybe I could protect you for a change.” Elena looked up at Damon. “I have something I need to tell you Damon, because I don’t know what’s going to happen next. Can I tell you?”

Damon's brow furrowed in more than just mild disdain as he processed what she said. "No offense but it's not your color." He scoffed, ending it in an unwanted cough. The vampire swallowed hard and hung his head. "It's not your size anyway. What do you want with it?" He managed and looked back up at the brunette. As if he'd actually give away the only thing that allowed him to walk in the daylight willingly.

Her face changed into one of mock amusement, “Very funny,” She said, stepping forward, “Your ring. I need it. It contains something very… important to you. Of course, I would have just captured you and taken it but it wouldn’t come off for me. That’s why I need you to willingly take it off and give to me. Like… now,”

Finished season one and I have no desire to continue lol. Damon changes and Mell no me gusta. Now he admits his feelings and Katherine is about the only upside and meh. Fuck feelings, Season 1 Damon is and will forever be the shit.
