Because nrs hates having nuanced characters. As a mk character, you either stick to the very limited vision of how they perceive morality or you are completely evil, gross and irredeemable.

Most of the time, these guys don't even act human. Like they can't comprehend complex emotions and actions. They see someone make something morally questionable, so the whole universe must be against them. But, of course, if you had done horrendous things and say you're sorry, we'll forgive you. Unless you are Cyrax, of course. Then it's your fault you listened to the person you were taught you should listen to all your life, when you were given no reason to doubt them other than a passing gut feeling.

Bi-han is especially butchered as a character. Because we are paying a lot of attention to him, yet all they do is try to convince us he's an egostical, narcissistic asshole and a control freak.

Nrs, a person can not either be absolutely righteous, or completely vile. They are not low level Sims characters, give them more personality traits.

How is it that Former Yakuza members Takeda and Kenshi are giving honour lessons to Sub Zero, from what we know of the story mode he still has more honour than what we believed, from what I can see they all have like the same amount of honour currently.

Ok he scarred his brother, does that equate him to anything the Yakuza has done? He stopped wanting to live under Liu Kang's orders? is that worse than the literal mob's actions?

I don't doubt Kenshi and Takeda's willingness to change and how they're trying to fix their errors but they should maybe have a little more compassion and I don't know understanding of Bi-Han and his actions. They're not in any way obligated to help him but would it be such a bad thing if they try to be the voice of reason to him seeing him continue down that path.

I don't understand this stupid angle the NRS is trying to spin about Sub Zero and the Lin Kuei, but the fact that after 3 decades you're literally trashing the story of not only one the most beloved characters and but also 1/2 of the factions people ACTUALLY care about.

Just gonna remind everyone, that the Lin Kuei is not evil to the Shirai Ryu good, they are two sides of the same coin.

I think Omi would relate to Ping pong's need for validation. The xc Omi-ping pong dynamic would hit close to home for xs Omi, as he went through a similar thing.

In xc Ping pong looks up to omi and tries to make omi proud of him, similar to how xs Omi was with Master Fung. While xc omi goes along with it because ping pong's admiration makes him feel good about himself, he also rejects people a lot because of his jealousy. Xs Omi also gets rejected by master Fung. Not in the direct way like xc omi does to ping pong, fung just....ignores him and is emotionally unavailable.

Therefore, knowing what it is like to have your affection rejected by a person you care about, i think a bond would form betwen xs Omi and ping pong, with omi taking xc omi's place as ping pong's older brother figure, like Chase did to him.

I had this idea about quite a while and I would like to share it with you. ^^

What if XS Omi who after years of the final episode of Xiaolin Showdown, grew up to be much humble, mature young man somehow got into another universe due to a mishap either from magic or Jack's machine? He woke up to find himself in Chronicles' universe, meeting the monks especially the universe's version of himself.

After helping the young monks in a Showdown, introducing himself and finding out Master Fung had left them to pursue some journey, he decided to stay with the monks for the time being, helping, training, guiding and offering wisdom to them while searching for a way to return back to his universe.

During his stay with the monks, XS Omi would be more than just very disappointed with XC Omi treating his own teammates terribly, being self centred, rude, selfish, arrogant, sexist and prideful. He remembered being in that similar stage when he was his age and tried to instill humility and respect while disciplining the other him. He is like a good big brother to the monks who does his best to nurture them and their elemental skills while at times, reprimanding them for being jerks to one another and others, particularly towards Dojo and Jack Spicer. He would be very gentle to Ping Pong and help him train and use his Wood element. The XC monks would call him Wudai Omi/Master Wudai/Brother Wudai.

When XS Omi and XC Chase meet and fight for the first time during a fight:

XS Omi: You are different from the Chase I know. Even though we were enemies, we respected each other, he kept his word honorably like I do, we taught each other different moves and... I love him.

The other monks + XC Omi: WHAT?!

XC Chase: (Speechless on the spot)

Shadow: (No idea what to think about this.)

XC Chase would find this version of Omi powerful, tolerable, fascinating and somewhat good -looking than the egoistical tyke he shares this universe with.

XS Omi is wary of XC Chase looking rather obsessive at him after their fight. The XC monks don't like that and become protective of their mentor/older brother figure/alternate version of Omi.

XS Chase ain't having none of what his alternate self is doing to his Omi, one thing's for certain.

I have the mental image of XC Chase cornering XS Omi like a stereotypical persistent stalker creep, XS Omi trying to repel him and XS Chase appearing from magic/XS Jack's invention kicking XC Chase away from his Omi.

An interaction betwen those versions would endeed be interesting. I feel like xs Omi would relate to ping pong the most, as they are pretty alike.

I can really see Chase acting like that towards his xc self, especially since we can already see in showdown that one of Chase's ways to show affection is through protection/ defeating Omi's enemies(even tho that doesn't actually happen very often since Omi doesn't want anyone, not even his enemies, to be hurt). Lizard man really wants to be able to brutalize people for Omi lmao

Poor XS Omi is none too happy being fought for like some sort of prize. At least he's glad to see his own Chase again.

The other monks from XS and XC should take this opportunity to rescue XS Omi from this fight.

I can see why xs Omi wouldn't feel good in this situation.

The first thing that came to mind was phonk. I also think that he would be into heavy or maybe industrial metal(he wouldn't admit it even if he was at gunpoint), I headcanon him as a Rammstein fan.

Master Fung isn't my favorite character from Showdown because I think he's emotionally distant too often, especially with Omi, but Xiaolin Chronicles having him just abandoning all the monks was just a whole other level. Xiaolin Showdown Fung feels like he's trying and is just not good at this, but Chronicles Fung peaced out and left them to their own devices for no reason. And I agree that Dojo being upset about it got annoying in Chronicles, which sucks, I enjoyed Dojo and Fung's friendship before.

XS Master Fung I believe was meant to be the responsible parental figure that is a great influence on the child, but are severily emotionally unavailable. Which in this context was fine because that's what drove Omi towards Chase.

In chronicles it feels like they just didn't have anything planned out for Master Fung, but had to include him anyway because he was in showdown.
