If you run a business in Manchester the following social media tips for your business help you on twitter and Facebook

Create a Plan for social media
If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. So many businesses make the mistake of blindly jumping into social media marketing without a strategy or plan.
If you can’t answer questions like “why are you on social media?” or “what social media platform features your target audience?” then it’s time to hit the reset button. Start putting together a plan in writing that you and your team can refer to when you need it.
Your social media plan should consist of mini-plans for Twitter, Facebook and so forth.
If you’re just getting started, keep your number of active social networking sites to three or less. For most businesses, particularly small businesses, trying to tackle five different social media accounts often results in doing a mediocre job with little to no results.
Post Consistently on social media
Sending out one Tweet per day just isn’t going to cut it. Certain platforms like Instagram and Snapchat don’t necessarily move as fast as Twitter or Facebook. This means you don’t have to publish as often.
This ties back in with your social media marketing plan. You should outline:
How often you plan to publish on each social media channel
What type of content you plan to publish
Social media outreach publishing schedule (reaching out to influencers via social media)
Pick What You Share
When it comes to figuring out what to share on social media, quality beats quantity. You want to publish content consistently, but it also has to be valuable. Quality content is:
Relevant to your audience
Helpful
Entertaining
One trend becoming popular that you should be cautious of is relying on tools that “suggest” content to share to your audience.
Post Images
The results are in and photos have shown to be the of social media content for engagement. They get the most shares on Facebook use images.
Measure & Analyze
To go along with the previous social media marketing tip, you need to measure your efforts and analyze the results. If you don’t want to fall under that umbrella, start tracking your social media activity right now.
Some of the to look for include:
Reach and engagement for Facebook
Impressions, visits and mentions on Twitter
Views and actions on Google+
Impressions, clicks and interactions on LinkedIn
Impressions and engagement on Pinterest
Likes, comments and mentions on Instagram
You should track these metrics on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis so you know when and if you need to make changes to your social media strategy.

Web Design Manchester Choosing a Web Designer

Finding a good Web designer in Manchester can be hard when you don’t know what your look for or even the questions you need to ask the about the Web design Manchester.
This guide will help you choose a highly skilled web designer in Manchester to create an amazing Joomla or wordpress website
The Manchester designer listens to your ideas
You're an expert in your industry. As such, you know what you're selling, and you have some idea of how you need to present it to your potential customers. No one knows your business better than you do. If a web design company won't listen to your ideas, then you probably don't want to work with them. Your designer needs to be able to put your ideas into action, not create their own pet project.
They share there own ideas with you
While it's important for your web designer to listen to you, you don't want a yes-man. You may know your business, but your website needs to be designed by someone who knows design. If a web design agency does nothing but nod their heads and produce an exact replica of what you say, then you aren't getting your money's worth. Your designer must be able to bring exciting ideas to the table.
They understand Joomla and WordPress
You need a content management system for your website. Without it, you'll be calling a developer every other day with another request to update your site. Any web design agency worth anything at all is familiar with the best content management systems (WordPress, Drupal, Magento). If your designer recommends a static HTML website, then you need to find a time machine so you can get back to this decade.
They will create a responsive web design
Responsive design is not a fad. It's simply the best way to design a website these days. Even Google thinks so. If a web design agency isn't well-versed in responsive design or suggests a separate mobile website is always better, then they're probably not right for you. While there are some cases where a separate mobile site might have some advantages, responsive design is generally the preferred solution. As mobile and tablet usage continue to grow, you need to be sure your business is optimized for every device. The right designer will get you there.
They have a web design portfolio
What's the best way to see if a web design company knows their stuff? Look at the work they've done. But don't trust screenshots of home pages. You want to see the websites they've made in action. Take the time to look through their portfolio and actually visit the sites they've designed. If you don't see anything you like, then they're not going to be a good fit.
They know modern web design trends.
The last thing you want from a new website is a design that looks like it would've been popular last decade. A web designer needs to keep up with the latest technology and modern design trends. Customers are much more likely to trust a business if their website looks modern. Good design companies incorporate what's hot in their websites. A web designer needs to be familiar with parallax scrolling, flat design, responsive, and dozens of other styles and elements. Of course, that doesn't mean they should just push all the newest fads. There needs to be a balance between what's modern and what's proven. A website has to do more than just look fresh.

Web Hosting Service in Manchester

Choosing a Manchester web hosting service can be difficult. The this guide will help you make a decision before you choose a hosting package for your business.
https://www.manchesterdigital.online/web-hosting-manchester/
What are Your Hosting Requirements?
You can never get the right web host in Manchester without knowing what you need.
What kind of website are you building?
Do you want something common (a WordPress blog, for example)?
Do you need Windows applications?
Do you need a special version of software (ie. PHP)?
Does your website need special software?
How big (or small) can the web traffic volume go?
What to look for in a web host from Manchester
Server Reliability
Nothing is more important than having a 24×7 operating web host. You need a web host is operating on a powerful server and stable network connections. 99.5% and above is the recommended
Multiple Addon Domains Included ?
Domain names are cheap – so cheap that it is hard to resist not owning more than one. Personally I own more than 50 domain names in my GoDaddy and NameCheap accounts. And I’m not alone.
To accommodate these extra domains, we need extra hosting space. And this is why it is important to have a web hosting account that allows adding multiple domains.
Generally speaking, most budget shared hosting companies allow at least 25 addon domains* in one account nowadays but you can never be sure. Some years ago I was careless and signed up on a web host that allows only one domain. And, I was holding more than 10 parked domains at that time. Do not repeat my mistake – be sure to check the domain capacity before you make a purchase.
Hosting Cost and Renewal Cost
Hosting deals, shared hosting especially, are normally selling very cheap on signup prices but charge much higher on renewals.
It is an industry norm.
Unless you are willing to hoop between two or three web hosts every two years, there is no way to avoid the pricey renewal costs.
In general, any shared hosting priced below $10/mo is acceptable but you might have a lower tolerance.
Company Refund Policy
Should you choose to cancel your host within the trial period, does the company provide full money return?
What is the hosting company’s refund policy after the trial session?
Is there any cancellation charges?
These are some basic questions to ask before signing up.
It’s important to know your hosting provider handle customer refunds so that you don’t have to lose too much money when things go wrong.
e-Commerce Features
Are you running an e-commerce website?
Are you using any specific shopping cart software?
Do you need to process business transactions on your website?
Do you need special technical support (ie. PrestaShop guide, or so on)?
If yes, then it is important for you to pick a web host with sufficient e-commerce features support. SSL certification, dedicated IP, and one-click shopping cart software installation are some of the essential features/supports you will need.
Hosting Control Panel
A user-friendly and functional hosting control panel is very, very important.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a cPanel or a Plesk or a third party control panels (like what we have at GoDaddy) – we are okay as long as it is user-friendly and come with all the necessary functions. Without an adequate control panel, you will be left at the mercy of the hosting tech support staff – even if all you need is some basic server changes.

Manchester Web Design Trends of 2017
As the year comes to an end, it’s time to take a look at some of the most significant Manchester web design trends of 2017. In this article, you’ll find a list of the most significant website design trends of 2017 that will define how websites will be designed in 2018.
1. Dramatic Typography
Today typography is used for more than just content readability – it is often used to add a sense of drama.
Dramatic typography is a natural part of many popular website designs. This technique is particularly useful for drawing user’s attention, convey meaning or create visual interest.
2. Vibrant Colours
We all know that color can draw attention, set a mood, or even influence our decisions. By using striking colours, designers can focus visitors attention on specific user interface elements and create more memorable UX.
Animations and Microinteractions
Animation plays a crucial role in digital interfaces since the very beginning. But only recently designers started to consider animated effects as a natural part of prototyping process. Today animation is used both for functional purposes (to reinforce interactions, set expectations, etc.) and delight (to make browsing more enjoyable).
Minimalism
Minimalism is one of the long-standing trends in web design. The main reason why it so popular among many creatives is simple – minimalism helps emphasize essential elements. No wonder that in 2017 we saw a lot more content-focussed experiences.
Asymmetrical Layouts
Asymmetry is the lack of equality between two sides of the layout. Many people confuse asymmetry with imbalance, but in fact, the goal of using asymmetry is to create a balance when it’s impossible to use equal weight for both areas. Asymmetrical balance is a long-time favourite technique for art, which recently became popular among visual designers. This method allows better scanning behavior by focussing user’s attention on individual objects (focal points).
Authentic Photos
Authentic photos are one of the few trends in web design focussed on building trust. That’s why in 2017 we saw fewer stock photos on sites. Authentic shots are a critical part of getting users to interact with your product.
Personalisation
The reason why personalisation is on this list of modern web design trends is simple – users want individual experiences when interacting with online services. Personalisation means that a site tries to deliver to users the content, experience, or functionality that matches their needs. One great example of personalization is Amazon. Amazon knows a lot about their customers from their purchase history, and it uses this information to offer specific products. This kind of personalisation not only brings value to customers but also increases loyalty.
Bespoke Illustration
Custom-made illustrations became a popular alternative to photos for many sites this year. Designers understand that by using illustrations in digital products, it’s possible to distinguish a brand from the crowd. But illustrations not only enhance brand recall, but they also help create a very personal connection with users. Illustration created by Fireart Studio demonstrates how good drawing skills paired with creative thinking allows designers to create memorable works.
Long Scrolling and Parallax
The popularity of mobile devices has forced developers to reconsider traditional ways for navigation – moving from many pages full of different information to single long scrolling pages. Both content-heavy blogs and eCommerce sites are moving toward long scrolling. Paired with parallax, long scrolling technique can create a genuinely immersive experience.

Manchester Websites That Can Benefit From a CDN
A lot of time and effort goes into creating a killer Manchester based website. But we can take all of those blood, sweat and tears and narrow them down into a few key components.
In general, websites need three things to flourish:
1. A User-Friendly Design
2. Great Content
3. High Performance
Each one of these items is equally important. If you’re missing just one, it can really hold you back. Funny enough, perhaps the easiest of the trio to attain is that lightning-fast performance. While most basic web hosts can’t necessarily deliver top speeds, there is a service that can: a Content Delivery Network (CDN).
If you’re unfamiliar with what a CDN does, it essentially takes your site’s content and distributes it among a network of high-speed servers. When a user visits your website, the CDN serves content from the server nearest to the user’s location.
This results in faster load times and lower latency. It can take a lot of pressure off of your average web hosting account and provide a much better UX. Beyond that, it can also be super cost-effective.
That being said, there are certain types of websites that can benefit from using a CDN more than others. Let’s have a look at a few website categories that are a perfect fit.
Media-Heavy Websites
Websites that contain a lot of photos, videos or audio clips can really put a load on a web server. When it comes to photos, each one that loads on a given page results in a server request. More requests mean more work for the server. Put enough of those requests together and things can slow to a crawl.
Video and audio are more often on-demand services that fully load in once a user has interacted with a media player. But these files can be huge. Consistently loading in files for a popular video or podcast is also a major drain on server resources.
How a CDN Helps: Because your content is distributed on a wide network of strategically placed servers, those multiple requests are geographically closer to the user. This cuts down on the time it takes for a request to be served up in the form of content.
Plus, your web host doesn’t have to grind out those giant media files. The CDN’s powerful setup handles all that dirty work in short order
Sites Prone to Traffic Spikes
One of the great joys of publishing content on the web is when something you’ve created really catches on. But if your server can’t handle the traffic, it also becomes a missed opportunity. If hordes of anxious visitors can’t get to your site, they’re going to move on to the next big thing.
The same thing goes for ecommerce sites. Around the holidays, more people are looking to shop online. If your site is slower than a snail stuck in glue – you’re going to lose crucial sales. That one bad user experience can even have long-term repercussions for your business.
How a CDN Helps: A CDN has the added benefit of scalability. So when you get hit with loads of new traffic, the network can handle it. That’s important for both the expected holiday rush and the unexpected viral sensation.
Third-Party Resource Sites
A resource site is one where that serves up content that is used by other websites. Items like ads, videos, forms and chat services can be used in any number of places. The great thing is that just about every site utilizes resources from a third party somewhere along the line.
For example, if you’ve ever embedded a YouTube video or served up an ad from a network – you’ve used a resource service.
Of course, the more popular your service becomes, the more weight that is put on your server. Simultaneously serving content to other websites is serious business. It’s also a major undertaking – even for a dedicated server.
How a CDN Helps: When you’re serving more than just your own website, uptime and reliability is absolutely critical. Since a CDN is redundant across multiple servers, you’ll be better protected against outages. Even if a single server goes down, the rest of the network can pick up the slack.
A CDN Offers Reliability, Scalability and Affordability
Integrating a CDN into a website solves one of the most vexing problems most site owners face: Building a robust infrastructure on a budget. Not everyone can afford their own datacenter. But thankfully, a CDN offers us an affordable way to take advantage of the type of global, high-speed infrastructure a website needs to be successful.
If you’re interested in learning more about what a CDN can do for your website, check out KeyCDN. They offer a blazing-fast worldwide network that has been built to handle the demands of the modern web. Plus, they offer an affordable pay-as-you-go pricing plan that means you’re only paying for the data you use.
Look to KeyCDN to provide simple, fast and reliable content delivery.
