MAJOR STORYLINE

In “Conqueror Plants” you are a lonely tiny plant that is tired of the quick spread of cities that are killing your kind, so you decided to ask for help from your brothers and sisters plants hidden in this inhospitable world to fight against humans and bring back the glorious days of plants covering the entire world.

Of course, no one will pay attention to a mere plant, but once they’re facing a 30 feet tall plant monster, the humans will fight back, so you’d better show them who’s boss here!

Who knows, your humble cause of destroying every inch of human territory might inspire some to join you and make your task more efficiently.

TYPE OF VIDEOGAME

Third-person action game with a cartoonish mild level of violence in a 3D environment with simple and cute graphics where the player starts collecting plants in order to grow and destroy a city. When reached a certain size needed to achieve their current task, they turn into a plant monster with a higher destruction rate. The player advances in the game by reaching certain level of destruction and/or level of plants aiding you to destroy the city.

The first levels are just destroying a room, then a house, later a warehouse and so on up until the player reaches enough influence to gather plants to create a creature big enough to destroy skyscrapers.

KEY FEATURES

WORLD

The world is a big urban zone with no green areas whatsoever, filled with parking lots, factories, fast food places, polluted air and depressing buildings. The humans have their eyes fixated into their flashy screens, making their buildings bigger or fighting each other. There is no room for nature in this depressing world.

CHARACTER

The player starts as a tiny and lonely sprout growing in the most inhospitable spot in the middle of the city, explore the nearby area in search of valiant comrades to fight alongside your good cause.

Depending on which type of plants the player gathers the most, will determine the type of monster plant you’ll turn into in the last stage of the level:

· Conifer plant (slow but sturdy and destruction efficient)

· Epiphytic plant (frail but a lot of long and fast extremities)

· Cactus plant (average resistance and a lot of projectiles)

By every new type of plant from each of the categories you gather, the player’s monster plant form will gain new abilities.

LEVELS

As a level-completion game, the player needs to fulfill the main task of each level in order to progress in the game. Although, if it takes a lot of time finishing the current level, the humans will start attacking you until the player is dead, so the player needs to be efficient in their destruction.

TECHNICAL ASPECTS

As a Nintendo Switch launch exclusive, this game can be played with the three variations of controllers; Joy-Cons plugged in into the console and separated from it, by a single Joy-Con or with a Pro Controller.

This game score system is based on combo sequences; these combos are taught throughout the game. This sequences are achieved by moving the Left Stick with the A/B/X or Y Buttons, depending the attack the player wants to do. If the player uses a single Joy-Con, the complex version of combos is still available.

As a videogame for all audiences, “Conqueror Plants” includes a Custom Mode, in which the player can select the level of difficulty for the entire game. This is perfect for players that want to finish the game in a leisurely pace or challenge their abilities.

SIDE QUESTS

There are secret missions in every level that will grant the player extra points, these points will transform into currency that the player can exchange for visual particle effects, or color palette variation for the characters.

There are humans that are willing to help the player’s cause, they can help on different tasks:

· by delaying the arrival of the police/army,

· creating fertilizer to make the player stronger/faster/bigger

· convince other humans to join the cause

The way the player get these humans is by obtaining a perfect stylish score, this means, the faster and with more complex combos the player destroys the city, the more they will be inspired to help the player.

With all the plants the player collects, the player can create a greenhouse in which they can see all the different types of plants they can use as abilities and even combine them to create rare species.
