Mandukhai Khatun, Was known as Mandukhai the Wise, was a Mongol queen and military leader during the late 15th century. After the death of her husband, Dayan Khan, she took charge of the Mongol forces and played a role in preserving the unity of the Mongol Empire. She successfully fought against the rival Mongol factions, such as the Oirats, and the Great Yuan dynasty’s influence. Mandukhai is celebrated for her strategic military prowess and leadership on the battlefield, leading her troops on horseback. Her reign strengthened the Mongol nation and protected its cultural heritage during a time of great instability.
