Day 8: Potential...this one took me a few days and I still am not sure...I think partly or maybe even mostly because I've had a difficult time recognizing my own potential and not being afraid of it? Sometimes we just can't see our potential. Sometimes we fail to see the potential in others or a certain situation. But in reality it's all around us. It's within us. It's just removing the veil that hides it from us whatever it may be. That can take years for some of us. For others it flows from one cup to the next. But it's always there waiting for us to pick it up and go with it. (at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan)

Day Seven: Theme was Time. Today's challenge was to use a painting to inspire me. So I decided to use my painting called Van Gogh Nights for this piece. The model is myself discovering today that the trees are changing. There are several references to time here. We go from picking summertime flowers to kicking up the leaves of fall in what feels like the blink of an eye! Van Gogh Nights was a bit of a day dream for me. Time is so fleeting and a day dream seems to slow time if only for a moment. Night verses day is present. And even that nostalgic feeling of days gone by has settled in. I hope you enjoy this piece! Day 5: Broken/Shattered This one was difficult in an emotional way. I know I try hard to put on a good face. I had to learn to hide my emotions. I had to learn to cry alone. Back in May my body had enough of that learned behaviour and broke, and shattered. I came out of it realizing I had held the broken and shattered pieces together for much too long. Day 2: Today's creative challenge was to share emotions without facial expression. This really worked me over in the sense that I had to get around my my head and convey emotion...now normally I have very little difficulty with that! However the technical aspect kept dropping me and then once I checked myself and remembered the feeling the emotions it quickly fell into place. The emotion I was searching for hear was innocence. Today marks DAY 1 of a creativity challenge I'm involved in courtesy of @brookeshaden ! The intent is to grow and learn my mental creative muscle and today certainly did that. I ended up with two versions of this photo. Today's challenge was to use an enclosed space. A bowl of raspberries and small room in my apartment volunteered. The theme was rebirth. I will share my thought process and the story that unfolded as I worked on these. Please feel free to share your thoughts.
