Hi, hello, I saw Mary Poppins Returns today, and here are just a few little things involving Emily Blunt that reinforced how queer I am:

-The way she walks when she first touches down on the ground at the beginning

-That blue coat with the red hat and shoes.

-“Off we go!”

-The bathing suit in Can You Imagine That

-THAT note in Royal Doulton Music Hall

-Her accent change in A Cover Is Not the Book

-The little tender looks on her face during The Place Where the Lost Things Go

-Her dance sequence in Trip A Little Light Fantastic

-Especially when she spins around on the bike

-The way she sits on the ladder on Jack’s bike

-When they get on the ladder and Jane asks if Mary’s sure it’s safe; “Absolutely not!”

-“Oh honestly, you’d think they’d never done this before.”

-The look in her eyes as the cherry blossoms blow around her at the end

I know there are more, but that’s all I can think of right now. Also, feel free to add if you feel so inclined.

So…

In Mary Poppins Returns, we know every second Wednesday Topsy’s house flips from 9-12. We ALSO know that when Mary is listing the conditions of her employment, she requests every second Tuesday off.

Does that mean something also happens to Mary on second Tuesdays? We see her working that day (if they visit Topsy on the second Wednesday then that means the night before with the Royal Doulton bowl is on that Tuesday), so does that mean it’s not an all-day affliction and that it only happens in a certain time period like Topsy’s house?

The air changes in the room when she starts doing what she does. It’s so honest and so pure and so powerful. It’s like a superpower that she can just unlock and do so specifically with not many attempts. For me, I love acting, and I’m so lucky to be doing it. But she’s on another plane.
