Family found dead at Yosemite?
Being a journalism student and a true crime junkie, I always want to know what is happening within my area surrounding murders, unknown deaths, etc. Two days ago, an article on CNN says that a family of three was found dead on a hiking trail in Yosemite. Autopsy reports on the parents and the child reveal nothing and the necropsy on the family dog is currently being done. No obvious signs of trauma and no evidence of rattlesnake bites. There was toxic algae in the water but visitors were urged not to swim or let pets drink from the rivers. The area was known for high levels of carbon monoxide gases but has been treated by first responders. Toxicology reports pending. No suicide note either. What happened? Weather reports show that it has been in the 80′s and 90′s so heat stroke could be a possibility, but how would it get all three of them at the same time? And wouldn't that have shown up on the autopsy reports? The area is also a popular place to hike. If the deaths were from the toxic algae or carbon monoxide, wouldn’t more people be found dead? The toxic algae symptoms don’t even list death in healthy individuals. Any thoughts?
