Hawaiian Flowers
Hi lovelies!
I thought I'd spam you with intense beauty today, as the world has been showing us so much ugliness off late. I ordered these two amazing holos from Celestial Cosmetics, through the Hella Holo Customs Group: Hokulani and Poipu Sunset. They're inspired by Hawai'i. Let's have a look!
This coral peachy pink pretty with intense linear holo is "Poipu Sunset". It is opaque in two thin coats and flames with the fire of a thousand phoenixes!
Poipu is a little town on the coast of Hawai'i, featuring many resorts and incredible sunsets, as evidenced by this picture that I threw together:
And suddenly we completely understand why this beauty is called "Poipu Sunset"!
Then there's "Hokulani", which means "heavenly star"...
Yes, you've seen me wear it before, with this easy Halloween nail art, but I wanted to show proper swatch photos! Hokulani is a bright purple linear holo blazing even more brightly than Poipu Sunset!
However, the reason I needed to have these babies, was because of how they look together...
I know, right?! So to complete the manicure, I added some Hawaiian flowers to the mix with BP-083:
That's it for today! Let me know what you think of all this :)

Incidental Twin “Dragons Must Fly”
Hi lovelies!
A little more indie love today with Incidental Twin's "Dragons Must Fly"! This polish is inspired by a book series I have never read: "Dragonriders of Pern". This polish has inspired me to go read it ;)
This beautiful green jelly is something I could happily drown in. It is on the sheer side though. The maker describes it as follows: "A mostly sheer green-blue like the Pern sky, more of a tiny than a color, with glitter for all the dragons--gold, bronze, brown, green and blue." Shown here are four coats with top coat. Four, you say? Worth it, I say. Alternatively you could always put it over a green base.
Now what's it like matte? Let's see it with some HEMA matte top coat:
It's pretty, but I prefer the glossy version, what with all the drowning I can do in that ;)
But let's spice it up a notch (not that this polish needs that, it is beautiful and foresty and magic, but still):
Vinyl action! This was done using Vinyl Quickies and Essence "Gold Fever" and "My Fortune Cookie". (Ah yeah when I started this mani, the sun was shining. When I photographed the swatches, the sun had disappeared behind a cloud. By the time I was done with the vinyls, rain was pouring and I did no longer have sufficient light for pics. I could squeeze out this macro but the rest was photographed in my lightbox.)
So what do you think of this polish? I lurve it ;) You can find it here and currently you can use discount coupon code "INSTASAVE" for a 20% discount! If you are curious to see more polishes of Incidental Twin, look here. And for more social media info:

Roses are white, nails are blue...
Hello lovelies!
More floral stamping today.. I know, I'm boring, but I just really enjoy florals and stamping!
This is BP-L015 over Essence "Electriiiiic". I stamped it with Laushine white stamping polish, which has gotten quite old, hence doesn't stamp well anymore. I'm eagerly awaiting new the stamping polish that I ordered!
Then I mattified it with HEMA matte top coat. Personally, I prefer this mani glossy, though.
Which one do you prefer, matte or glossy?

Regal stamping
Hi lovelies!
Yeah, I know, the title is very unimaginative, but after a lot of thought, this was the best I could do. The mani is actually better than the title:
I started with a base of LynBDesigns "Gilding The Lily", only two dabbed on coats, it's a true glitter bomb! Then I top coated it with SV and waited for it to dry. Afterwards I stamped with BPS wine red stamping polish and BP-L024. Another coat of SV and done! I was impressed with how this polish performed with positive/negative images like these!
So what do you think?

Frozen
Hi lovelies!
Happy ManiMonday! I have some holo action for you today, with pics I shot ages ago, but never got around to post. We've been having quite some rain here the past few days, so this bit of sparkly goodness does me good! Let's start with the base, El Corazon 423/34:
Isn't it beautiful? This silver blue linear holo is opaque in just two thin coats. It applies like a dream.
In this slightly off-focus pic you can really see the rainbow sparkle!
This colour reminded me of all things Frozen, as did Rimmel "Glitter Fingers", a glitter topper I had recently bought, so I thought why not combine them? This is the result:
I'm interested in your opinion on the glitter gradient here, it didn't quite turn out the way I wanted. I think I sponged on a little too much glitter...

Hello lovelies!
It's been a while since I've posted my friend's manicure, so let me show you two of which the photos don't totally suck ;)
Yes, both stamped, both holo, but still very different! Let's start with the leafy earth-toned autumnal one. It's inspired by a tea bag ;)
It has actually been double stamped, but that did not show up on camera. The base is Paws by Eddie "Autumn Loves Fall" and I stamped with a Nicole by OPI shimmer of which I don't know the name and then with BPS wine red stamping polish. The plate I used is BP-29 :) The pics were made by my friend, with here phone, because my own pics didn't show much of anything!
For my other friend, I used Mod Lacquer's final polish "Goodnight, Mod" and two different stamping plates, but I don't remember which ones... They're from BPS for sure, though! I used black stamping polish from BPS and the base on the ring fingers is Celestial Cosmetics "Opie":
Let me know what you think and which one is your favourite!

Halloween Dry Marble
Hello lovelies!
I tried a little dry marbling today for Halloween...
Yeah as you can see, the weather was horrible. But the pics are just decent enough to post! I started out with this Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polish, a lovely deep purple shimmer, that I got for my birthday from my friends (along with a gift certificate for many many more pretties ;) ). Then, while it was still wet, I added three drops of Mod Lacquer "Stunned" and then "Stimulate" from the Electrified collection. Then I dragged a toothpick through it, kinda randomly. I finished with a coat of Seche Vite.
Now this may not be the most elegant form of dry marbling, but it does the trick for Halloween! What do you think of it?

Hello lovelies!
Let's start this Halloween week with a beautiful spooky indie polish: Incidental Twin "Ooky Redux" form the 2014 Chilly Ghostly Nights line by @samiholloway!
This warm purple jelly is full of different sized orange glitters. It applies easily and is opaque in two to three coats, depending on their thickness. It's not terribly hungry either, so it only needs two thin coats of top coat, no glitter food. Awesome!
Isn't it beautiful?! And even though it is a Halloween special, I could wear this every day of the year.
Let me know what you think about this pretty, and if you want to pick this baby up, go

Hi lovelies!
More fleur-de-lis nail art today, this time with a charm from LadyQueen!
I combined this beautiful nail art charm with black and gold and stamping. I started with a base of NYC "Full Metal Jacket" on all fingers but my ring finger, on which I applied Sinful Colors "Black on Black". In an effort to try to match the gold of the charm a little more closely, I also applied a thin layer of Essence "Gold Fever" (the oldest version). Then I top coated everything with SV and stamped with Konad black stamping polish and BP-L016, also on my accent nail, but that is hardly visible. Last, but not least, I applied the charm with a little nail glue.
The charm fits well on my nail and has a nice curvature, so that it doesn't stick out too much.
I really recommend this charm, it works great with these designs! If you'd like to pick it up, go here and don't forget to use discount coupon code ESAX15 at checkout, for a 15% discount on your order!
What do you think of my design? Do you like and/or own charms like these?

Incidental Twin Wolverine
Hi lovelies!
Happy ManiMonday! Some indie love and simple nail art today with Incidental Twin AKA @samiholloway‘s "The Wolverine"
:
This polish has many faces. I'm showing you the glossy version now, which is beautiful and dark and strong, like Wolvie...
[source]
This beautiful black jelly is filled with adamantium silver glitter and - as the maker puts it - a highlight of red rage. The red rage reflects everything between gold and purple int he sunlight and the adamantium glitters give it an extra kick! It is opaque in two easy coats and isn't very hungry, this is two coats of top coat over it.
[source]
Now I know ya'll wanna see what happens when matte...
As you can see, when matte, it's soft, mysterious and gorgeous, like Wolvie!
[source]
Now let's take a look at what I did with it:
I applied a fleur-de-lis
charm
from BPS on my ring finger. Then I used
quaterfoil vinyls
from Neverland Lacquers and Essence "Be My Shooting Star" on my middle finger and voilà, a skittlette! I couldn't choose between my pics, they all had different lighting, so I'll spam you with all of them.
Now if you're as infatuated with this polish as I am, you're gonna wanna pick it up
here

Hello lovelies!
I meant to post these Friday and Saturday, in time for and on the time of Halloween, but both days I was not feeling well at all, so I couldn't muster up the strength to post these. Therefore I'll show them now and perhaps you can use them as inspiration for next year!
Let's start with a mani that was loosely inspired by Cosmetic Sanctuary. I did not have her awesome vinyls or her awesome nail charm (I ordered one, but it hasn't arrived yet), so I created this:
My base is Celestial Cosmetics "Hokulani", a Hella Holo group custom. It is a beautiful ultra holographic purple pretty, of which I will show swatches later. I freehanded a spiderweb with a white striper from Vogue and then created a spider using two black round rhinestones that I randomly found at my local drugstore. I painted the legs with a striper brush and Sinful Colors "Black on Black" and then added some eyes and a cross on the spider with Laushine red stamping polish and a detail brush.
Despite the cross not being super neat, I do adore the way this little fellow came out!
I wore this mani for a day and NOBODY commented on it, can you believe? I thought it was absolutely adorable! People be strange, yo! ;)
Now let's move on to a super simple mani (photos shot in lightbox):
This was super simple to achieve. I put Girly Bits "Monster Mash" over Essence "Lilac Is My Style". Then on my accent nail, I placed some decals from BPS, you can find them here. I topped it all off with Seche Vite and then with HEMA matte top coat. Super easy 30-minute mani :)
I hope you still enjoyed these manis, despite them being shown to you after Halloween. Which one is your favourite?
