Assignment 13
The most useful information that I took away from the class, were the topics that covered internet security and safety. With all of the leaks and hacks that are happening in today’s big tech companies, it’s more important than ever to make sure that everything you do on your computer is safe and secure at all times. I also feel like I can surf the internet safer becuase of the the software i’ve downloaded, but also becuase of using safer internet practices as well. Specifically I found that finding phishing scams are easier as well as being cognoscente of what I click on. I have found a new interest in cyber security and I can’t wait to learn more!

Assignment 12: Cross Compatibility Issues
Between using the various types of spreadsheets and presentations I had the most problems with cross compatibility with Open Office. Specifically, I had consistent problems moving documents from MS or GD to OO; but also moving OO to the other platforms as well. Most of the problems moving from GD to MS were with small formatting errors, however those are easily fixed by using a careful eye.

Assignment 8: Thoughts on Minecraft
Just with any game, there was a small learning curve for Minecraft. After remembering the buttons and not having to look at a guide to remember them, I found it very easy to play. I think the reason why a lot of people like Minecraft is for the reason that it’s easy, there are deep levels to this game, and the fact that it’s so easy for everyone to sign up. I think it’s also the same reason why the game Fortnight is also super successful. This game is exactly what I thought it was, but I didn’t expect to like it as much as I do.

Here is my Excel spreadsheet. The highlighted cell has the formula in it for adding up the expenses and incomes. There were a lot of black letters on this template so I had to change the colors individually.

Assignment 3
I Created a PDF document using Microsoft Word. I used PDF’s for work most of the time. For example I use them when I am downloading research that could possibly be using for my job. These peer reviewed journal articles are always downloaded as PDF files, it makes it super simple to not only print them, but to make notes and other things to the file that you’ve downloaded.
