The dress was done in Marvelous Designer, and while i know how to make more complex stuff i thought i’d keep it simple for this model, though i ran into some minor clippng issues, it ended up wrapping just fine

Next I modelled what came to be known as “Julie”...long story.. but nontheless really fun to model, after all that effort ont he bad guy, this was a piece of cake, really relaxing, the only thing i had some trouble with was working on face without symmetry, this is because of some techinicalities i was working with in zbrush, that allowed me to have symmetry everywhere but the face...the symmetry turned out to be completly useless later on dude to how far and muscles deforms in different positions and angles...

This is my final take on “the bad guy” robot, it was quite challenging ina  lot of ways, he is modelled in such ways that parts would move with the rig we had in mind, the feathers are alphas i made, the baking gave some trouble but i understood how to sort out my problems, keep in mind it was a really heavy bake so i had to come with some creative solutons.
I made the split parts in maya, added wearing detail in zbrush, and bump detail in substance, this combination allowed me to exploit the strengths of each program in a linearly manner which allowed me to save time and move onto other things.

Next I started UVing the model for tecturing, i knew this would be a pain, but I made sure to build the robt in such way that it would be easy to UV, just time consuming. I say started because I did half of the UVs then proceded to help my teammate Daniel with his environment as he needed some work done in Zbrush, so he was the one to finalise the other half of the UVs. He also gave them 5 different materials for substance to separate into layers, making it much easier to keep track while texturing.

Because I ScreenRecorded the process I did not take any screenshots, but I did take some of the high poly model from Zbrush, it was a really heavy model as i use some techincal secret wizzardry to make a 2 Billion poly model in zbrush. In retrospect, I know many ways of getting the same result with less polys but this is what i feel like fit best.

So while we started modelling danny sorted out the animatic for it using picures of the storyboard we made. This animatic doesn’t have a specific length for eah shot as for us that came later with the making for a script and action list that Daniel made (https://danmdx.tumblr.com/)
