Class of '83 Movie Review: A one time watch thriller

Class of '83 Story:

Vijay Singh (Bobby Deol) is an accomplished and sincere police officer. But due to some circumstances, he gets sent to a Police Academy as a dead. This transfer doesn't stop Vijay Singh from achieving his mission. He trains five cadets and sends them to a mission that he couldn't finish. But things are not so easy as he thinks them to be. The obstacles faced by Vijay Singh and his cadets and how they dealt with them form the main crux of the story.

Class of '83 Performances:

Bobby Deol came up with a scintillating performance in the movie. It is good to see him back in such a powerful role and he does it with utmost dedication. He gives an impressive act as an old and sincere cop. Debutants Sameer Paranjpe, Bhupendra Jadawat, and Hitesh Bhojraj impress with their performances. Vishwajeet Pradhan and Joy Sengupta have done justice to their roles. Read more..

Bhanwar Web Series Review - A sloppy editing and too predictable plot

Bhanwar Story:

The story of Bhanwar is about a couple Ranvir Makhija and Kanika Makhija, played by Karanvir Bohra and Priya Banerjee respectively, who acquire a lavish apartment at an undear price only to discover later that it is haunted. Now the crux of the story, without a spoiler, is that the place is possessed by the ghost of none other than the couplet itself.

It appeared that they have time-traveled through a magical windmill to unmask the murderer and prevent themselves from getting killed. The entire 8 episodes of Bhanwar is framed around the time-travel journey followed by the discovery of unforeseen events. Read more..

Lock Up Movie Review: An Engaging Thriller

Lock Up Movie Story:

The movie starts off with the murder of a police officer and the suicide of a woman. A lady cop Ilavarasi (Easwari Rao) takes up the case. In the process of investigation, we come across two other police officers, Vasanth (Vaibhav ) and Murthy (Venkat Prabhu). How the lives of these cops got affected by this case forms the main crux of the story.

Lock Up Movie Performances:

Lock Up is an interesting whodunit thriller accompanied by fine performances. Vaibhav gave a sincere performance as the young police officer. Popular filmmaker Venkat Prabhu played the role of a police officer with hidden secrets under his hat. He stole the show with his expressions. Any regular actor would haven't brought the freshness to the character. Until now, we have seen Eeshwari Rao in some housewife roles. It is good to see her as a cop who investigates the case. Poorna is good in her brief role. Vaani Bhojan didn't have anything to offer in the movie. Read more..

Khuda Haafiz Movie Review: This Vidyut Jamwal starrer will entertain you in parts

Khuda Haafiz Movie Story:

Sameer Chaudhary (Vidyut Jamwal) marries Nargis (Shivaleeka Oberoi) at a grand wedding and since then, the couple looks forward to spending their entire life together happily. After losing their jobs due to recess, the couple starts looking for jobs and that’s when Nargis applies for a job in a Middle East Country Noman. Sameer also manages to get a job there but their agent tells him that Nargis has to go first because there is a delay in the paperwork for Sameer’s job. After a day, he receives a call from Nargis who sounds terrified. She tells Sameer that she wants to come back home. After that, she never gets to call him, and to find her, Sameer flies to Noman. What are the challenges he faces and how he finds his path to Nargis with the help of taxi driver Usman (Annu Kapoor) forms the crux of the story?

Khuda Haafiz Movie Performances:

Vidyut Jamwal is the lone soldier of the film who takes the entire film onto his shoulder and runs at a brisk pace by making sure the film doesn’t fall off his shoulders. His performance, stunts, and action is something that keeps you entertained and keep the flow. Annu Kapoor as Usman, who has most of the screen space after Vidyut. He, being a senior actor, has given all the support the film needs and lives up to the expectations. Ram's Red finally opts for an OTT release; will premiere soon on Amazon Prime Video

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many film releases got put on hold. The theaters are under the lockdown for the last five months. Holding releases for a longer time will increase the financial burden of the producers. Thus, some of the makers are releasing their movies directly on OTT platforms. Until now, we have seen many Indian films opting for a direct digital release.             Now, we hear that some of the big Telugu releases are going to join that list. Ram's Red is one of them. It is being heard that Red will have a direct release on Amazon Prime Video. The release date will get announced soon. Red features Malvika Sharma and Amritha Aiyer as the female leads. It was back then during the Kargil war in 1999 when the need of the hour was an Air Force pilot who is strong, courageous, and smart. Then comes Gunjan Saxena (Janhvi Kapoor), a 24-year-old young lady whose dream is to become an Air Force Pilot. The profession she chose and the path it has, is not so easy to reach or travel because it rages war against the patriarchal mindset and discrimination which are indeed a big threat to the progress. So will Gunjan overcome all the odds and proves her mettle?   It is 2020 and we all are still busy stereotyping women. So imagine how it would have been in 1999! Women were told what they can and what they shouldn’t. No matter how accomplished, women face sexism everywhere. This film gives a message that the success of a woman starts from her home only. It is her father (Pankaj Tripathi) who will always stand with her to see her fly high.

Pankaj Tripathi, once again, has taken the film on his shoulders and carried it with all the pride. His performance is marvelous like ever. We know he doesn’t need praises because we fall short of words. Vineet Kumar, as someone to who Gunjan reports daily, is just amazing. Though he is a bit rude and harsh on-screen, just like how an officer could be, he is up to the mark. Also feels like no one else could have done this role this better.
