After walking for a long time, I found that I had arrived at our familiar street. It was as if I could not have ended up anywhere else. As if wherever I directed my locomotion, my feet should, inevitably, lead me back here.

Dear diary,

Yesterday, Jeeves let me cradle his face in these hands of mine. This might not seem like much but allow me to paint the full picture here. Quite frankly, I've had a few opportunities to hold this brilliant lemon before, whenever the poor thing was burning up with fever and whatnot. But, until now, I had never quite noticed how... soft Jeeves is. In that moment, with both hands on his map drowsy with sleep, I felt like I was being trusted with the most precious loaf of bread in all of England. No wonder; he's Jeeves after all. I mean to say, even in the wildest thunderstorm, you wouldn't catch less than fresh-faced and rosy-cheeked! It's a mystery how he does it, really.

But what I'm getting at is that I am only telling you this now because, for one simple reason, I couldn't tell you right away, or else I would have—Jeeves knows how no force is too great to try and stop me from jotting down a few notes on paper for later use in my books. No, you see, I couldn't because we were both getting ready for our respective beauty sleep, which meant only one thing: if I wanted to be the little spoon this time, I had to avoid any hesitation and nosedive in the sheets before Jeeves did, and lounge invitingly—as much as the willowy Wooster frame could—as to leave no room for arguments. One can enjoy doing the fulfilling act of embracing but one can also desire one's corpus to be enveloped by warmth itself, what. I didn't get to say as much right then though because, to my surprise, Jeeves had already followed me without a word and wrapped his arms round me. Directly, I felt like the happiest pillow on earth, as any pillow would be while being so firmly held and loved. But, again, I did not voice the thought; I simply let myself melt into the arms of Jeeves.

So, you see, there could possibly have been no time to grab a pen and fill you, dear diary, in on the whole binge.

I am so….. enamored by your j&w comics…… you have such an eye for paneling, every one is such a visual treat! and you do such a good job of emulating that wodehouse style of writing…. overall such delightful work you should be so proud!!! single-handedly getting me obsessed with j&w again!!

Funnily enough, paneling is the part that I love with a burning passion because of the addicting thrill of figuring out how to concretize my ideas onto the page (hence my growing pile of wips...) BUT it's also at that stage that i endlessly agonize over the thought of "there could be an even better way to show this"!!! lmao Though, when things work out, the satisfaction is undeniable.

also very honored you think I do justice to Wodehouse's writing! ٩(ˊᗜˋ )و Emulating his style isn't a walk in the park but it's fun to try! For the majority of my j&w comics so far, I have been simply taking parts from the books that I enjoy and illustrating them the way I visualize them (word for word, sometimes with some minor adjustments for pacing). I've noticed it's a great way to commit words and turns of phrase to memory. So when I do write my own little scenarios, it has been helping me quite a bit :D

On another note though!! I just wanna say that I coincidentally came across your blog a few weeks ago and instantly loved your comics! Big fan of your art style and the way you play around with shapes and space, it's just *chefs kiss*

The horse's tack is inspired by a very cool post by Dozymare on deviantart.

Also the eagle is a Bonelli's eagle, cause I wanted to symbolise the link between Altair and Ezio since it was named after an Italian ornithologist!

ALSO ALSO cool little thing I want to say abt the drawing: the horse has 3 stockings cause there is an Italian nursery rhyme that goes like "balzano da uno cavallo di nessuno, balzano di due cavallo bue, balzano da tre cavallo da re, balzana da quattro cavallo matto" that's roughly translated with "a horse with one stocking is nobody's, a horse with two is as strong as an ox, a horse with three is fit for a king and a horse with four is a crazy one".

So like since Altair is THE assassin's I thought his horse would be THE horse too...

I'd like to rant more abt my thoughts on AC and horses but I'll leave it for another time.
