What's up with the archelon works website?

Hosting got borked and everything got taken down.

I've since gotten a new host (with lifetime service, even), but I still have to remake the entire site from scratch and that's going to take a while.

Did you ever post the writeup for how Andreas works as a BB character anywhere?

No, so I guess I'll do it right now.

Andreas's primary spell Ephemeris Edge is basically used like a Drive would be in the blaybloo. Every usage of it boosts his normal attacks and is expended at the end of a combo, at which time a block of meter is gained.

The effect of the lingering stardust from spent castings of Ephemeris Edge was meant to be pretty much the same thing as the segmented-type super meters that someone like Hakumen or Tsubaki has. It builds up through regular uses of his Drive, and is spent when using pretty much every special attack he has save two.

Guardian Sign would be one such super that uses this meter, and gamewise would serve as a superblock that chains into an autocounter.

His strongest super is one that never appeared in the story, Starclad Soldier. In-story it requires a massive amount of Ephemeris particles to use, and gamewise it'd require his meter to be completely maxed out. Think of it as a Bang Install thing where his speed and damage receive massive boosts for its duration.

for visuals, think Saint Seiya.

Ring on the Horizon and Meteo Wing, his only two primary spells in-story that don't involve Ephemeris Edge, would have the same role in terms of game mechanics. Ring would be a powerful slash with short/mid/long range depending on the button pressed, and Meteo Wing is an 8-way dash. Neither of these are boosted by Ephemeris Edge, nor would they build up meter.

Star Line Orrery would serve as his Astral Drive, given the effects it had in-story.

And if his Astral Drive was somehow activated while in Starclad Soldier mode, it'd instead trigger his ultimate attack that earned him his title as Marconetti's strongest Knight- Stellar Theater.

Still trucking along.

Most of the character sprites are done, while the event CGs are waaaay behind thanks to the fact that it took forever to find an artist who I both like and won't disappear on me.

And the latter is still kind of an ongoing threat.

The oldest of them can get around mansion-sized.

I know the Sealed King curse prevents you from killing the current owner to get it for yourself or somebody you know or w/e, but if you don't know that somebody has a Sealed King and you just merc them are you eligible to contract with them?

Nope.

Directly killing the holder of a Sealed King is a hard disqualifier, regardless of the circumstances.

Which Sealed King would Reinhold get along with best?

Probably the same one that Volker was aiming for- the Endless Shadow.

They'd be able to bond over their shared experiences in brutally murdering anyone foolish enough to dare to bring harm to their respective big sisters.

Along that note, how does Mitsuru get along with Reinhold? And do she and Inaba ever teach Elena not-moonspeak?

They get on well enough, though they're not particularly close.

As someone who shed blood in glorious battle aside her father, Reinhold has her utmost respect and admiration... though she is a bit disappointed that he doesn't quite match with the mental image that she'd formed of him while listening to her father's accounts of his adventures.

As for teaching Elena their language, that had honestly not even crossed my mind before reading your question. But since it makes perfect sense for various reasons, I hereby declare it canon.

She's basically taken that role for Inaba outright, doing her hair and painting her nails and dressing her up and all that stuff so she'd be genuinely hurt if Inaba didn't call her Oneechan.

Elena just calls her "Mitsuru," though.
