Steven Universe Tiny Gem au Part 1

As you know gems are shattered either from not doing there job,making mistakes constantly,or just not fitting the right expectations.The common reason they were mostly shattered was from war.

In this au gems(some not all)that were shattered had a second chance at life,but there was a catch.Once a gem is shattered all pieces of the gem has to be within a certain range to reform as a smaller gem.(You may be confused let me explain.With all the fighting and running about a gem's shards can easily be kicked,smashed into more pieces,or carelessly smooshed to the point where they aren't in range or are not formable.)

One of the gem's shard would morph into a smaller version of that gem unless something else happens.

Once they reform as there smaller version they either have there previous memory or they don't.It is rare that they do.

It doesn't matter of your past size when it comes to keeping your memory.It's about if your memory is strong enough and important.That is why it is rare for them to keep there memory,because most gems lives consisted of taking orders,nothing more.

Tiger Jasper had many events through her life,she may had taken orders but she also made friends,fell in love,and went through trials until she was shattered.

Male Peridot,Aka Gus, was shattered a day or two after he was made for being more masculine,in short being a male.

Gems who reformed smaller were ordered to be shattered by the diamonds seeing no use in them at there size.Only few escape,some gather shards of one or two gems to see if they will reform as them.

Pink diamond aka Rose was of course fascinated by this.
