We’ve been displaced multiple times, our home is damaged, and basic needs like clean water, electricity, and medical care are nearly impossible to find.

I was a medical student, but the war stole my education and dreams. I come from a family of seven, and while two of my brothers study abroad, I remain here, struggling to survive.

If you’re UK based, please consider signing this open letter by the ME Association, calling the UK government to actually give a shit and put funding into researching treatment for ME/CFS, as currently the NHS treatment (ime) is 5 phone calls with an occupational therapist and being told endlessly to practice mindfulness. For a condition that affects so many people and has been known about for such a long time, the lack of support and research into CFS is ridiculous.
