hey enjoyer of media who participates primarily in fandom of said media. whats your opinion on this female character and DO NOT use the word "girlboss", "mother/sister", or allude to her being the groups guardian. you have five seconds or else the saw trap goes off btw

i do not think kyp is suave. i don't even think he has remotely the experience with women he projects that he does. i think the general populace are scared or disgusted with him when they find out who he is (read his short story in tales from the new republic). i don't think he has his first committed relationship until his 40s. i think the flirty lothario act he put on for jaina was to manipulate her into destroying the vong world ship for him and once he does develop real feelings for her in dark journey the shift in how he treats her is drastically more reserved. i think he's scared of women

Yes, we talk about how Luke can see past Mara's prickly exterior to her vulnerable interior, but I do love thinking that he ALSO finds that prickly exterior very, very attractive.

ābut jacenās treachery was the deepest cut, and his actions had put a premature end to her childhood. gone was the button-nosed toddler who had once pronounced jedi yedi and who had named a stuffed tauntaun for the kind man who would later be revealed as her father.
leia knew that allanaās silence about jacen didnāt mean that she had put him entirely from her mind, only that she had buried her dark memories of him where no one could find them. what worried leia most was that those memories would fester and seep like a stain into allanaās psyche.ā

No because why was Tenel Ka there lol even if the Hapan court was actually insane I feel like her dying would cause some sort of diplomatic crisis. Also they shouldāve either had Ganner in charge or sent someone else 1. of age 2. competent. I vaguely remember Ganner being kind of a dummy by Jedi standards (until Traitor where he did his whole noble sacrifice thing) (I could be wrong about this btw) so why wouldnāt they send at least one master? Dare I say a Corran Horn or someone like that?
all iām saying is that if my kid was on the myrkyr mission i wouldāve sued the jedi order straight to hell. i think about how insane sending 17 inexperienced, (mostly) teenaged jedi on an extremely high risk mission at least twice a day. luke wouldāve hated to see me coming in court.

what if you started a new JOB after faking your identity to catch a TERRORIST and SERIAL KILLER. then at your new JOB as a federal AGENT, your random BISEXUAL and MOODY co-worker who you've barely gotten to know decides he HATES you when you're already struggling to fit in. but little do you know he's on hard DRUGS and moody af and has decided you SUCK.
but little do you KNOW that little BITCH is going to become one of your BESTIES and you will quite literally commit CRIMES for one another.

basically my thesis is that jaina loses interest in kyp when the age gap narrows as they get older and heās no longer her master but gains it all back as soon as sheās married to jag and itās dangerous again

i really donāt like what the legacy comics end up doing to the solo kids/grandkids (jaina would not have any kids) and the story is largely cheesy & derivative yet i strangely have A Lot of emotions about the characters. just thinking about interactions or even *potential* interactions between sia and cade and ania hits my feels! the weight and doom of an entire family over a hundred years all on their shoulders and they donāt even truly grasp it or even grasp that they donāt have to do it alone

It's a shame Ahsoka is trapped in Disney Canon jail because I need her and Legends Luke to interact. Middle-aged Ahsoka showing up at the Jedi Praxeum out of nowhere and introducing herself to Luke like "oh yeah I was your dad's apprentice during the Clone Wars, wanna hear some insane stories about him?" and the two of them bonding over caf and Ahsoka becoming Jaina's other cool aunt besides Mara.
Bonus for Winter and Ahsoka having some absolutely wild spy stories that Winter never shared with even Leia. (Imagining in this AU Ahsoka's confrontation with Vader doesn't happen and she continues in a Fulcrum-type role).
