I passed the final school project.

It's been a while since I last wrote. I managed to finish the project in time by a miracle (read: I stayed up all night and finished 50 minutes before deadline lmao)

Now we're all waiting for final grades. There's no info yet, but I've received no messages about failing the plagiarism/AI tests they do, so I assume all is well. I can't help it though, I'm anxious and dying to know whether I passed or not.

talking to a guy who works in tech about phones and mentioned how i didn’t like the new iphones or androids bc of the size and he was like “yeah i’ve noticed quite a few women feel like that idk why bc it’s so good having such a big screen” and i was like “it’s literally bc our hands are too small, i can’t reach across the screen” and he was shocked and had never thought about it and i had to explain to him how many things aren’t designed for women and he was truly astonished 🙄🙄

I'm almost done. I ended up scrapping login + register + remember me option for now. Without it the app works perfectly. Besides, it doesn't heavy online functions anyway. This can be for the future.

Now, I just have to create profile options, gather statistics and make data importable/exportable. In theory easy stuff.

No cool keyboard/screen/desk picture today; have my cat instead

I've advanced quite a bit with my final project, my app is functional and it's all coming together thanks to creating several, detailed diagrams where I documented everything I'll develop (case use, relationship-entity, classes etc.). What remains is to connect the front and backend properly.

Despite the ok advancement, I'm becoming anxious. I've yet to make the video presentation and add all documentation in the thesis. I just want to finish this, it's quite stressful (as expected lol)

today I worked with the design of my app. From wireframes to mockups to prototypes, studying what is «good design», choosing theme and colors, while updating the Gantt chart, methodology and the paper itself.

It's coming together, slowly but surely, though I still have the feeling that I should work faster and more efficiently.

My project proposal was accepted, and I can start developing the app! I will use Kotlin with Room/SQLite.

Deadline is after Easter, however as I work full time, I calculated the amount of time I should spend per day, and it's looking so grim for my social life and weekends .......

-- 24 feb --

Today I started proyecto fin de ciclo, aka the final year project, and it feels overwhelming. There is so much to organize, and so much to develop besides documenting and managing the project itself. The deadline is April 25th, however I'm away for Easter, so I'll have to have everything ready before then. I'll document the progress here without revealing what the (proposed) project itself is.

As for progress, today I took plenty of notes, drafted objectives, and explained how each subject is involved in the project. Hopefully, my proposed idea will be accepted. That way, I get to start developing the project already.

what are you waiting for? someone to grant you permission? the perfect and permanent emotion? a shooting star to magic away every problem you have or ever have had? alright, wait away then. but no one is going to live your life for you while you wait to become someone else

I really hate when people mystify intelligence as some innate or supernatural ability rather than the willingness to read books and consider different perspectives. Anyone with enough time, training, and preparation could become a professor. Stop seeing knowledge as arcane rather than as a skill anyone can develop.
